This was absolutely terrible. The hero was an insane arsehole and the heroine was a pathetic idiot. Their relationship was crazy over-the-top, and the writing was so bad I could have cried. His insta-obsession with her was utterly ridiculous and the way he kept talking about it gave me secondhand embarrassment.
The way this guy went from hot to cold so fast honestly gave me whiplash. It pissed me off that the girl didn’t even make him grovel. In reality, this chick should have run screaming. Or at least laugh in his face. Anything but fall at his feet like the weak silly girl she is.
Like, she really just let this man ghost her, then she passively listens to an insane speech about how he had to do it because he loved her too much(???), and ultimately she of course has sex with him right after he gives her a second of attention without her even reacting to any of his shit. Like, sure, okay.
Also, that sex scene where he forced her to eat pie, and for every bite she took, he would take a “bite” out of her “pussy”; it literally had me SCREAMING in pure TERROR. I wanted to close my eyes and never open them again after that. I’m still shivering just thinking about it now. IT WAS SO EMBARRASING!! Does this man seriously think that’s hot? Like, DOES HE!?!?
And did they seriously get engaged after ONE DAY and pregnant after less than a month? what. how? why? what the hell.
All in all, I genuinely don’t think this whole thing could have had any less depth, even if it really tried. There’s literally no rationality to be found anywhere. I hated pretty much everything about it.

This was another quick, sexy, and hot read from Alexa Riley! By now if you’ve heard of her books then you know what you are getting with her insta-love, low angst reads!
With this particular instalment, we get the first book in the “Rags to Riches” series that features a different author for each story.
Alexa Riley has worked with this group of authors before in some of their other shared series! By now I’m familiar with these authors and their collaboration of stories that as soon as I see a new series being advertised I one click the whole series immediately!
In this book, we get a super possessive hero... Jason is so enamoured with the heroine he ends up resorting to stalking her just to be able to be close to her every minute of the day. At first he backs off and watches her from afar, as he doesn’t want to scare her away with his intensity... but that changes the day she walks into his Mom’s house on the arm of his brother!!! Jason’s jealously kickstarts a major fight with his bro... and he suddenly realizes he can’t watch his woman from afar anymore!
As you can imagine the insta- love/lust becomes the main focus of the rest of the story... these two hit the sheets quickly and they let the sparks fly!

Classic AR with an OTT obsessive hero who fears his obsessiveness will drive the heroine away. While I really enjoyed the story, Jason pushing Skyler away just didn’t make sense to me.

Its an Alexa Riley so you can be sure of one thing it’s going to be hot.
Skyler met and fell for Jason the minute she saw him and they had a connection but he vanished and took his heart with him. Still in the dark as to why he left her and once again left alone in the world to fend for herself but a little bump into someone brings her back into his life and she wants answers as to why he disappeared. Will she take him back or has he broken her heart for good?
Jason knew his obsession with Skyler was going to consume him so he tried to let her go but was always watching except for this one day and now here she is in his parents’ house with his brother, he knows that he has to stake his claim and do it fast before someone else tries to claim his woman.
This book is all the S’s short, sweet and safe. Great quick read.

"Pretty Virgin" is the story of Skylar and Jason.
Another super sweet AR tale between a h who loves pies, and the H who fills her up with them- literally and figuratively. It had very little angst, and rest was as predicted, a sugar overload. Just a feel good read.

She'd resigned herself to the lack of affection, or anything remotely resembling it, from her parents and had intentionally distanced herself from them geographically speaking as well. But, when Jason ghosted without an explanation, the hurt wasn't something she seemed able to move on from.
Jason saw Skyler and immediately fell, hard. And while that sounds like a great thing, to him, he wasn't so sure the obsession he felt to be with her was rational and feared she'd agree, so he walked away, but he never left...his eyes were always on her.
And then, one day, they weren't and next thing you know, fate brings them together again, but in the way he never expected. However, it was a wake up call for him that he couldn't continue as he had been, loving her from afar. But Skyler was still upset, not to mention suddenly realizing how very little he'd shared about himself with her.

Super quick read since it's a novella.
Pretty Virgin is a second chance at romance for these two main characters. In it, you will meet Skyler and Jason. Now they are were pretty good together until the unexpected happened. Jason broke up with her and basically ghosted her life. Skyler being a girl in love was so brokenhearted and basically didn't eat until the day she really wanted pie.
While on this pie adventure, which sounds awesome by the way because who doesn't love pie?, she runs into someone. Falls down (a bit dramatic) and ends up scraping her knees. At this point, we find out that she doesn't like blood. For example, my sister looks like she is going to pass out whenever she sees blood (she is also dramatic).
Anyhoo, at this point the guy she ran into kind of changes her world. How so? WELL, she finds out that this guy is Jason's brother. Wait, what? How could Jason have a sibling or two and not tell the girl he was madly in love with any of this important information? Eh, well first off Jason is a douche who didn't know what he had until he lost it.
Upon seeing his girl (yes he still claims her as his) with his brother.. well, it doesn't sit well with him. Nope, he goes into ape mode and starts throwing punches. This of course confuses the shit out of Skyler because he broke up with her. Why does he care now? Yeah, girl.. same. Boys are weird.
Long story short, they get back together and he basically thinks her vagina is magical and shit. They end up married and preggo with kids. The end. It was cute, a very quick read, and that's about all I got to say on the matter. On to the next book in this series!

OTT alpha alert!!!! Jason is so obsessed with Skyler that he walks away from her so he doesn’t smother her. Still watching and loving her from afar, he lets her live her life even though he’s miserable. Skyler fell from Jason so fast and then he was gone. Never getting an explanation of what happened to him, she’s saddened by the fact that once again she’s alone in life.
After a chance encounter, Skyler shows up at Jason’s parents house with his brother and Jason snaps. Knowing that now he can’t stay away from her, she about to see what being obsessed is all about!!!

I'm pretty sure this is the most over the top, obsessive alpha that these two have written yet.
Jason walked away from Skyler and the overwhelming feelings she brought to him by just being near him. It scared him, the way he felt for her was so consuming he feared he'd end up hurting her.
When Jason just stopped suddenly seeing her Skyler was devastated. She'd thought she had finally found someone who cared for her and she had been like an eager puppy lapping up the attention. He gave no warning he just dissapeared. It was only running into a few weeks later and seeing him with another woman that all her hopes were dashed.
What she didn't realise is that the woman was his sister. And as for just leaving her? Uh no, he may not be by her side but he's certainly not far away from. A tracker on her phone let's him no her location at all time. The guy running the new-stand on her street? You guessed it he also keeps tabs on her. And if that's not over the top enough for you, he knows her cycle. Who does that? Alexa Riley does and she makes it not creepy. In fact it's kind of sweet.
So hold on to your knickers ladies and get ready for one possessive alpha!

I got this as a Arc for a honest review!!
Now i read some pretty ott alpha males.. and this book takes the cake!!
Also AR made sure this was super over the top!! Skyler has been mopey for few months since Jason just disappeared from her life she thought he was the one, it makes her run to Jon injuring herself being a gentleman he offers to take her to his parents house to get first aid. Little did she know she meets Jason again.. shocked, angry hurt.. Jason's deal for pushing her away is simple.. hes to obessed with her.. and thought she wouldnt like him being super OTT.. but his jealously clouds his plans to stay away when he sees his brother with her. And i tell you he is the most OTT guy i have read and i didnt hate it since AR warned us lol
I did wish skyler made him grovel more and not forgive him that easy.. :/ also the blurb dont worry she isnt even dating the brother.. its all safe!!

This book disappointed me a lot. A hero, who claimed he loved heroine so much, basically abandoned her because he lost his business... and the heroine forgave him and understood his reasoning?

Pretty sure by now everyone knows that I am a huge, huge Alexa Riley fan....but this book was not my favorite. I’m not a fan of time apart, but in this case it wasn't only that there was time apart, but he just disappears. She was one of the cleaning people for his business and everything was just gone one day, no goodbye, no "it's not you, it's me"...nothing. So, she unknowingly runs into his brother, literally, gets stuff spilled on her, so he takes her to his moms to clean the shirt. This is where Jason sees her and decides she’s his again, oh and keep in mind she has not seen him since he vanished. He never apologizes, grovels, nothing, just picks up like he is still her boyfriend. Not cool.
I know it's safe on her side because she is still a virgin, no mention of what he had been doing during their time apart. Baby batter, epilogues and an hea.

This book was another solidly enjoyable read for me. Immediately all in, the hero knows there’ll never another woman for him, but he’s got some things he needs to work through. Typical man, he tries to protect her from himself, not realizing a burden shared is a burden lessened. Fortunately here she stands up for herself and demonstrates that she’s every bit as strong and worthy as he is. I received an ARC copy of this and am leaving an honest review.

Mí humilde opinión:
Skyler se fue de su casa dejando atrás una familia fría y hostil. Trabando en la limpieza conoce a Jason cuando va a limpiar su piso de trabajo. En él encuentra a alguien especial que parece preocuparse por ella hasta que un día él desaparece.
Jason le dio una mirada a Skyler para ir a comprar el anillo de compromiso, así de loco se volvió. Está tan obsesionado con ella que tuvo que salvarla de él mismo. La vigilará a distancia pero nunca podría exponerla al monstruo que toma posesión de él cuando la tiene cerca.
Cuando ella aparece de la nada con su hermano de desata la bestia. No puede perder de vista nunca más a Skyler, ya no puede mantenerse lejos de ella.
Esta a punto de conocerlo y espera no asustarla.
Leí muchos libritos de Alexa Ryley y no me sorprendí al encontrar un personaje masculino macho alfa obsesionado hasta la médula!
Pensamiento aparte, no son de los héroes que me gustan más pero tenía que comenzar con este libro la serie.
Jason realmente me asustó a mí muchas veces con sus impulsos hombre de las cavernas pero tuvo sus momentos; cuando le pone el anillo a Skyler, protegiéndola de su frío padre o siendo tan dulce con la primera vez de ella.

Igualmente para mí fue exagerado la mayor parte del libro e intenso pero esa es marca a lo Ryley.
Skyler en definitiva se rindió ante Jason, obviamente alguien que careció del cariño de sus padres toda la vida, anhela justo eso y una familia. Jason le daba todo eso. Además de que a ella le gustaba él desde antes así que fue así de fácil que prácticamente se le entregara con moño.
Un amor a primera vista eres-mia-y-de-nadie-más-mega-obsesionado que no estuvo mal pero no de mis favoritos.

Good
This was a good story just not my favourite in the series. Jason was extremely OTT, probably the most possessive of the bunch. That might bother some people. I really felt for Skyler and her horrible upbringing, everyone deserves to be loved. There were a few left out that bugged me like what he did for a living and where did his money come from that he could afford to pay people to watch Sky 24/7. And what his sexual past was, I always like to know that.

Completely safe. No op drama, a bit of jealousy. H’s past was not mentioned and h was a virgin. No abuse but the h did have a bad childhood with parents that were verbally abusive and neglectful. Non of it was shown, just lightly mentioned.

I am not sure what to even say about this book. I found the Jason was very possessive and even border lined abusive obsessed. I dont know anyone who would be okay with the things he knew about her and what he must have done to find them out. It was more creepy than hot. There was good chemistry between them with the pie scene but otherwise it was weird. I am glad it was a quick read because I probably wouldnt have finished it, if it had been a 200 plus page book.

This one felt super quick to me - even for a novella. Enjoyable OTT insta love alpha read but didn't love it as much as I usually do their books.

This story is unique as this book starts with the main characters having already met and briefly dated when Jason "ghosted " Skyler and then the book starts off months later when Skyler gets to come face to face with her lost love- will Jason have a chance to redeem his chances with his lady love or lose her for good ? There are some amazing twists and turns that keep the reader hooked from the start on through the final word on the last page. Jason is an alpha male who is also complex which plays into his actions from the past. Jason lived with what he did daily. He never didn't have eyes on Skyler.
This is a really good AR romance that had angst, twists, forbidden love , heartache/ heartbreak and 2nd chance at love. I enjoyed Jason's obsession with Skyler and his ways at keeping his eyes on her, no matter what. I liked Skyler and her determination to not fall victim to the past. Their relationship is what romance reads are made of. I enjoyed this story by Alexa Riley and the sweet chemistry is amazing! I can't wait for their next book.
