The ending felt 'off'.

A good read but with all the build up the ending felt flat and unreal. Okay it was still a good ending but ........ The characters however were as good as ever and loved the way the twisted emotions of couples and friends was displayed.
A quiet Spring evening turns into a nightmare when the walk they take with her dogs leads them past the cemetery. A dead woman has been found. The icy prices of unease growing throughout the day intensively increase as she views the dead woman. Now it's a case of trying to track her killer and after ian's imput trying to locate were the woman was killed. Her roomie tells one story but the dead woman's study partners tell another. Whilst her former longterm boyfriend tells another version. Which one is correct? The only real facts they have are that the young woman was bright, ambitious and a delight. Will they work out who is telling the truth? Will they find the killer?

Sad story about a young woman who was murdered and her body placed in a cemetery. Who found the body? Well, two young ladies; however, Claire and Ian were nearby when one of the ladies screamed after seeing the body. So it was up to Claire and her clan to find the killer.

Claire has an intuition that her close friends and boyfriend, Ian call Paranormal powers. She is usually involved in helping the police solve crimes with her Detective boyfriend. And of course she did help and she did discover whodunnit. Unfortunately she was face to face with the killer and they had a gun! All turned out well in the end though.

Claire, Nicole, her best friend and business partner, and Robby their friend and third business partner signed a contract for a cookbook and a TV show. All is well in Claire’s world now that another crime is solved.

Claire and Ian are going to take a vacation to Nantucket which is a place Claire lived previously and where she had married a much older rich man. After two years of marriage, her husband died of a sudden heart problem but he left Claire very wealthy. That doesn’t make Claire too good for anyone. Nope. She enjoys working in a chocolate shop and volunteering helping her friend Tony in his store.

I’m excited because my thought is the next book (The 8th) will most likely take place on Nantucket Island and I bet Claire and Ian will meet up with Claire’s friend Lin. Lin is from one of Whiting’s other series (Lin Coffin series). I like when characters from other books intersect. Lin also has paranormal powers that Claire doesn’t know about. My feeling is that they will work a Mystery together. We’ll see shortly when I begin the next book, Hostage to Fortune.

I love this series

This series is always entertaining and so well written. Claire is a great character, she is smart and quick witted, no ditzy blondes in this one! Her and Ian make a great couple and I love how they respect each other and really listen to one another. The mystery is always complex and well thought out.

Winner

This time the story was suspenseful until the end. Claire had her paranormal tingling about the main suspects, so she was picking up the victim's anxiety. Things are also moving along with Ian and Claire's relationship, and Robby character getting more attention. This is truly a winner!

Claire Rollins Mystery

Great story using healthy couples like Claire and her detective boyfriend and her friend Nicole. On aa walk one night they hear screaming from a cemetery where they find a woman shot to dead. Claire has paranormal feelings about the body that make her feel ill. It won’t be the last time she feels this as they hunt for a killer.

So many questions so much knocking!

As the lives of the main characters continue to grow in their relationships and careers, there are others that are not so lucky. Will Claire’s abilities increase? How many true suspects can there possibly be in this case? You will have so many questions and surprises as you read this story!

Opening Fortunes Door

The good things happening to our favorite characters took precedence over the needless murder of the girl Agreed that Martin was a skank hard to believe the girl followed him to see him commit the crime

The editing errors were a little distracting. The plot drags a bit with all the descriptions of what people are wearing and the repetition of questions and answers.
