C. G. Cooper is the USA TODAY and AMAZON BESTSELLING author of the CORPS JUSTICE novels, several spinoffs and a growing number of stand-alone novels.

One of his novels, CHAIN OF COMMAND, won the 2020 James Webb Award presented by the Marine Heritage Foundation for its portrayal of the United States Marine Corps in fiction. Cooper doesn't chase awards, but this one was special.

Cooper grew up on a steady diet of Dungeons & Dragons and the travels of a Navy family.

Upon graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs, Cooper was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and went on to serve six years as an infantry officer. C. G. Cooper's final Marine duty station was in Nashville, Tennessee, where he fell in love with the laid-back lifestyle of Music City.

His first published novel, BACK TO WAR, came out of a desire to link back to his time in the Marine Corps. That novel, written as a side project, spawned many follow-on novels, several exciting spinoffs, and catapulted Cooper's career.

Cooper lives just south of Nashville with his wife, three children, and their German shorthaired pointer, Liberty, who's become a popular character in the Corps Justice novels.

Can't wait for the next book.

This author tells a captivating story, gets you hooked from the start. Action, humor and love and care of each other and politics makes it very good read. Was very happy about Liberty, she is going to be fine.

Have I mentioned, I hate books that leave you hanging at the end?
Besides this being mostly political... AGAIN... it was good, but not great. Still though, a great series.

Sins of the Father Indeed!

Wow! What a read! A real rollercoaster of emotions going on in this book. Poor Cal and his team , as always, are dragged right into the middle of it. But this time, not so much a happy ending as a discerning twist, making you need to read the next book! (Not that I hadn’t downloaded it before starting this one). If I could give 6 or 7 stars on this I would. Absolutely brilliant. A must read.

What a ride! Sins of the Father is another great story by C.G. Cooper. I've read all fourteen books in the Corps Justice Books and loved each and every one. Cal finds his love life in jeopardy when he is challenged by his girlfriend regarding their levels of communication. Cal has to learn to "give in" and keep her informed of his whereabouts - not just living and breathing the mission at hand. This last err on his part put her over the edge and it may be the end of their relationship unless Cal changes his ways.

The Jefferson Group was supposed to stand down after their last mission. It was also election time and the president did not want to muddy the water and have them get involved in something that could impact the elections and his future. However, violence finds Cal and company, this time in their hometown and the foe seems to be one step ahead of them.

There is a relationship established between his new opponent and a former foe that Cal killed in the mountains of Colorado. The family of assassins is wider than he expected thanks to the "Whore-man" of a father who has political links in the senate and all are seeking revenge.

When Cal finally finds himself cornered by this maniac - he succumbs to the killer's demands and is locked in a safe-room within the same mountain range he fought in earlier. It can only be opened from the outside. After a week of searching, the Jefferson Group give up and return to D.C.- all numb due to the loss of their dear friend. All, except Daniel who remains on the mountainside and continues his search - knowing in his gut that Cal is still alive. It's been almost a month...surely Cal or anybody else can't survive that long without sustenance...will Daniel succeed in his quest?

This might be the end of the Jefferson Group! Their new foe is a formidable one...still out there assassinating officials, but now his looks have changed. Edge of your seat suspense and difficult to put down.

Smooth reading with Heck of an ending

I gave this a 5 star as it pulls you in and so smoothly you don't realize how far in the book you've read. And what happens with Cal is very unexpected. The ending makes me wish the next book was available.

A Marine for life.

Once a Marine, always a Marine. Duty, honor, country isn't to be taken lightly to these men. It is to be lived until the last full measure is given. The Corps Justice series is all about the best among us.

Awesome!

I've loved every book in this series and have waited patiently for the next book in the series. The only difference in this book is it left off on a major cliffhanger that I now have to wait for and I don't see me being very patient! Can't wait for the next book!

This is the fourteenth in the Corps Justice series. While it is part of a series, the book can be read as a standalone. Though, since the books build off each other, I highly suggest you read them in order. Events in this storyline tie in with previous books, and Sins of the Father will make a lot more sense if you have read the other books first. There is violence and some torture. If you like military thrillers, you will love this series and this book. You won't be disappointed.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that all of that info here. In this book, the author did a great job of summarizing the main characters and the entire series of books written so far. Even if you haven't read any of the previous books in the series, you can pick this one up and figure out who is who and what is going on. This story is both new and old at the same time. It has made me want to go back and re-read all the books again.

As usual in a Corps Justice book, Sins of the Father contains many clues, surprises, twists, and turns. It definitely kept me riveted and I could not put it down. Cal and his TJG team end up right in the middle of something unexpected. Of course not all is as it appears.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

And of course- last book until C.G. Cooper cranks out the next book and it leaves on a cliffhanger. Not that the preceding books haven't, but I only found this series a couple of weeks ago and read straight through them, so the cliffhangers at the end of each one wasn't a problem. Until now. I have to say that the story line was incredibly thrilling. Full of action, suspense, unbelievable scenarios that kept me on the edge and packed with some great characters. The way it played out was awesome. So many twists. Cal had really been through the ringer on this one. I can't wait to read more. A definite must read.

Could Not Get Enough.. Kept me engrossed..

As always I just could not put it down. Now what am I supposed to do until Mr. Cooper publishes #15?I laughed and cried with each binge read book! Since I picked up the first book I was hooked. These people have been an inspiration, joy and even sadness to me! I think that it would be great if we could live life like the Justice Corpse Group! (TJG)..

Sins OF The Father. C.G. Cooper

A retired but very powerful Senator is fixated on revenge for the death of his sons. Cal stokes killed one of them on a covert mission. The Senator had three sons from various women. The surviving son is a ghost, no records, erased. He has kidnapped Cals girlfriend. Imprisoned him. This is an atomic filled read. Even the last page ends in a puzzle. My highest recommendation

Unfortunatly I am about caught up with the author

Twenty words to tell you that for those of you who like action, suspense and great characters and stories you should be devouring these books. I am on to read about Daniel Briggs after I read the next story. C.G. Cooper has become a master story teller, well worth the time invested. He has given me new heroes to follow and root for.

Not quite the same action

I have thoroughly been enjoying this series and am nearly finished with all of the published ones. I’m not a reviewer, but my opinion is that this one just didn’t have the action and suspense I expected which drove me to Mr. Cooper’s novels. I’ve given four stars on all the others. Although it was an interesting story, it just didn’t hit the mark. I’m sure the next one will be fantastic.

This series of books is fantastic!!!

In the last three months I have read books 1 thru14 in the series about Cal & Daniel. Many of the books I have read in one day... Can't put them down. I have had a problem with some of my favorites getting killed off. And not crazy about Diane. But love the crew, one and all. And have enjoyed all the books. Looking forward to the next book. Thank you for making my isolated much easier

Per usual...Extraordinary!!!

I am beyond words...the story was tremendous! The author is amazing. The plot, the characters (they are as fresh as the first book in the series), everything. If you have read one of the stories in the series, start with the first book. Then savor each one of the stories...like a great wine. Kudos Mr. Cooper.

Another great read by Cooper!

This book was a little different than so many of the other books and it throws in more plot twists. It is a great read and sets the stage for a very serious adversary in the next book!

And Again.

I don't know how this writer manages to create such excitement in book after book but he does and this one is no exception. I really thought my Hero was A goner this time but he had God on his side. Please read these books and you will never regret your decision!

Unfortunately, the author could have gotten better along all his 15 book-saga, but it seems his imagination run out of credible missions and turned the books into sci-fi adventures with very week finales...very dissapointing!
