Natalia Nicolaeva is off to study in St. Petersburg, Russia, but when another student is murdered, her life goes spiraling out of control once more. She could choose to just stay out of it, but then, that's not really Natalia's nature. Instead, she opts for the opposite tactic; doing whatever she can to make the killers pay for their crimes.
Vendetta Girl follows Natalia through a labyrinth of Russian computer hackers, corrupt government officials and professional hitmen as she struggles to put together the pieces of a deadly conspiracy. Nobody is quite who they seem in this fast-paced thriller and the only person Natalia can fully trust is herself.

Thankfully many of my problems with the first book didn’t appear in this one, although at times Natalia was still pretty naïve in her dealings with the Russian ‘gangsters’. There is a good pace to the story and I thought the romantic interlude was well done. Natalia has certainly turned into a genuine ‘kickass’ heroine, my only real criticism is that the book is quite short. If possible I would have given 4.5 stars.
I did enjoy reading what I read, I just didn’t want to read about two women getting heavy. There was also some bad language and it’s very violent. The ending was a bit unsatisfactory, I guess that leads to book three for the authour. I also don’t know why the main character would move from Russia to London and think she could be safe. This seems preposterous to me.
I made myself finish this book. The main character character was in college. One of her friends was murdered. In a bar right before her eyes.she took it on her self to get justice. Occasionally it would be mentioned about an incident that had happened to het earlier before she got to co!legs but it was only mentioned. There were no details about her earlier life or what had happened. I won't be reading any more of this series.
This is the first book that I have read in this series (this is the second one) this book I could not put down. In a few places it refers to the first book and I will read that one soon. I think you will like this book. As I was reading it felt like I was with Natalia and going through what she was going through.
Natalia is attending University in St. Petersburg Russia. One of her close friends is murdered in front of her in a small tavern. Pandora's box has now been owned. What ensues is a web of deceit, murder, betrayal and new friendships. Another excellent read in this series!! Enjoyed immensely!!
What's with the very unnecessary gay scene? Very enjoyable book until you were forced by the gay forces to include it. It was full of lies about the gay lifestyle and totally unnecessary to the plot of the story. That's why the 2 star review.
This sequel to "Russia Girl" is another action-packed thriller that picks up 6 months later with Natalia in a new city and a new life that gets thrown in jeopardy all too soon.
3.5. Fast paced but I should have read the first in the series to find out more about the title character and where she got her bad-ass, almost unbelievable skills.
