Marc works as a grip on a reality TV show. Marc hates his job, hates reality TV, and REALLY hates reality TV stars. Marc wishes some of those so-called stars would just drop dead. Be careful what you wish for... Marc's job and lifestyle seem to be in a rut lately, but all that's about to change when he finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Born in 1962, Bob Henderson graduated from the School of Hard Knocks in Carpentry. He is married and is a lifelong resident of New Jersey. While Bob has been in the construction industry his entire career, he has always had a dream of writing novels. Killing Reality is his first book.
This book has a bit of everything to recommend it...there's mystery and murder...also a sharp and timely commentary on our society's addiction to reality TV and all its dysfunction...a character story of a 30-something working guy caught up in it all -- and his eventual maturity and redemption. It's also sprinkled with enough humor and poignancy to raise it way above other stories I've read in this vein. The more I read, the more I kept thinking how fluid and fast-paced the story was - would make a great mini series! Highly recommended, esp for a first book.
