After that I’m going home to France. There’s no point in starting anything. But now he’s captured the whole of my heart, and he doesn’t seem keen on giving it back.So I kiss him. 5 Star Review of My Roommate, The Billionaire (The Billionaire Kings #3) by Serenity Woods

Serenity Woods has jumped 30 years into the future for this series which is based on the children of the original Three Wise Men series. This is the third book in the series and is all about Albie King and Remy De La Vieuville.

Albie is one of her roommates (and her landlord) and despite knowing they shouldn’t, both Remy and Albie are developing feelings for one another. The chemistry between them sizzles in the air, even though neither of them have acted on it.

I was riveted from the first to the last chapter and read this one in almost one go. Serenity Woods writes with such a depth of description that I find myself transported to New Zealand whilst reading.

There are plenty of complications as they battle a cyclone and I was on the edge of my seat as Remy also searches for her biological father.

This was an extremely well written, emotional story with a great deal of angst as well as some happy and joyous moments too. As always it was great to catch up with other members of the King family and their friends.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

My Roommate, the Billionaire is a sweet and lively story, a book populated by many intriguing and original characters, with a rich and captivating plot.
Ms. Woods did an amazing job of depicting the protagonist's personality.
Albie is Charlie King's son. He has inherited from his father a brilliant mind and a touch of Aspergic tendencies. He is an accomplished and happy young man, thanks to his father's loving advice growing up, while his matter-of-fact, unassuming approach has undoubtedly marked his relationship with his friends and occasional girlfriends.
Remy, the heroine, has a peculiar personality. Witty and cheerful, she has found a safe haven at the Ark, having fled France after a bad break up.
The main storyline revolves around Albie's and Remy's developing relationship, the author taking the time to explore the nuances of the interactions between two unusual personalities. Ms. Woods describes with respect and competence Albie's behaviors and reactions, creating a credible and moving tale and succeeding at charming the reader.
The interactions within the group of friends running Noah's Ark animate the book and add value to the narration. The overall setting is more lively and articulate than in the previous books of the series. Many cameo stories captivate the readers and keep them interested at all times.
Finally, the extensive involvement of the Three Kings is undoubtedly welcomed by Ms. Woods's faithful readers and represents a pleasant surprise for the new ones, adding depth and character to the story.
Overall, My Roommate, the Billionaire is a heartwarming and captivating book, a testament to the author's ability to finely depict complex personalities and to her capability to narrate difficult circumstances with delicacy and respect. The reader won't be able to avoid falling in love with the cast of characters and will be left longing for new adventures of this wonderful group of friends.

I just finished My Roommate and my heart is so full of emotion. Serenity Woods is one of my very favorite authors and I have read 39 of her books now. Her books are so deep and rich and filled with love and feeling. My Roommate is another one of her books that does not shy away from difficult and real-life issues. She tells the story of Remy, who is on a 1-year visa in New Zealand to discover her roots and hopefully find her birth father. In the process, she falls for her roommate Albie, who is a real keeper. Albie is a billionaire in the King family, which has dedicated itself to helping sick children and rescued animals. This series is a second generation of Kings who run Noah's Ark, a veterinary center for rescue animals of all types and help children connect with the animals. Albie, as well as his sister and father, have mild Asperger syndrome and can be socially inept at reading the emotions of others. They can be blunt and clueless and it has kept Albie from forming any long-term relationships. Remy is open, understanding and rapidly falling in love with him. But she has only weeks left in the country. The seemingly impossible situation creates a nice tension and drama, as well as the sexual tension that threatens to ignite on the page! This book is hot. And there is suspense and drama as a natural disaster tests them all and Albie's sister falls ill. And yet the way that Remy gets the English phrases wrong and Albie gets the French phrases screwed up is hilarious.
Although you can read this book by itself, you will so want to start with the Three Wise Men series that gives the stories of the fathers and then start the Noah's Ark series so you have all the great background stories. They are all full of real-life problems and true love and a roller-coaster of feelings. I cannot wait for the next one!!

My Roommate the Billionaire by Serenity Woods
The Billionaire Kings #3

Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is where Remy De La Vieuville ends up working as an animal groomer for the last few months of her year in New Zealand. Albert “Albie” King is her landlord and he is a co-director of the sanctuary. The book begins at the 60th birthday party of Charlie King, Albie’s father where we meet many of the characters from the series and it is also where Remy begins to realize that her preconceptions about Albie are perhaps unfounded. As they begin to spend time together she learns more about him and his family and also learns more about her biological father while Albie learns what has made Remy leery of getting closer when he has offered to do so. The question is what the two will do if they fall in love when she has to leave in a few weeks when her visa expires.

This was a sweet and yet steamy story of two people destined to be together and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon with the couple as they worked their way toward their HEA. I loved Albie’s forthrightness and Remy’s eventual openness that allows their relationship to grow and become all that it can be. I love the rest of the Noah’s Ark community and though I know who the male lead for the next book in the series is I also hope that there will be books about Poppy, Fritz, Stefan, Jules and some of the others. If this series ends with book four perhaps there will be a spin-off for the rest of the cast and crew at the sanctuary, at least I hope there will!

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

This is the third book in the Billionaire Kings series and follows the story of Albie, one of the directors of the Ark animal centre, and Remy, his French roommate and groomer at the centre.

WHAT I LIKED:
Albie and Remy's story has been building since the first book in this series, and it was great to finally get their story. The buildup in the previous books meant that we already had a great sense of their relationship and attraction to each other, which made the whole book so much more satisfying. They had amazing chemistry and their relationship was just so sweet and relatively drama free. I loved how they supported eachother.

I loved how Albie being on the spectrum was featured, but didn't form his whole personality, I thought it was really well handled and it's so important to reinforce the idea that people on the spectrum are more than just that.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
There was a great cast of characters, however even though this is the 3rd book I've read in this series, I STILL get confused with all the extra characters, their various jobs at the arc, and who is related to who. I've had to keep a note on my phone to remember who is who 🤦‍♀️

I also thought the theme of this book was a little inconsistent. The first half was a romance, but towards the end it was almost like that took a backseat in favour of family drama. This is fine, but I just wished we got a little more of the relationship between Albie and Remy in the latter part of the book.

Overall this was another great installment to the series, though perhaps not my favourite. I'm SO EXCITED for Noah's book to come out in August, I've been waiting for this for so long!!

This was a lovely story about Remy, a Frenchwoman who came to New Zealand for a year and ends up working at the animal sanctuary where Albie is one of the owners and also takes care of the IT for the center. She is renting a room in his house while she is staying in NZ. He is very attracted to her, but doesn’t really know how to show it.

As Albie’s father explains to Remy, Albie has a mild form of Asperger’s Syndrome which makes it difficult for him to read other people’s social cues. I really liked how this was treated. Albie is still a kind and humorous man who has worked hard to try and compensate for his disability. Remy is understanding and adapts her conversation to make sure that Albie understands what she is saying. Isn’t that what we all want - someone who will speak honestly and sincerely to us with no hidden motivations?

This is a nice addition to Woods’ series of stories about these wealthy cousins who put their money to helping animals in a scenic area of New Zealand. It was also fun to revisit some of the couples from the earlier books as well as their parents who featured in an earlier series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from the author; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

This is the third book in The Billionaire Kings series, telling the story of Remy and Albie.

Remy is in New Zealand on a one-year visa to explore her roots and hopefully find her birth father. Along the way, she falls for her roommate and landlord, Albie. He is a billionaire from the King family, which is dedicated to helping sick children and rescuing animals. This series follows the second generation of Kings who run Noah's Ark, a veterinary center for various rescue animals, and helping children connect with them. Albie, along with his sister and father, has mild Asperger syndrome, which makes social interactions challenging. Their bluntness and social awkwardness have prevented Albie from forming any long-term relationships. However, Remy is open and understanding, and she quickly falls in love with him. Unfortunately, she has only a few weeks left in the country, creating a tense and dramatic situation, heightened by the sexual tension that simmers between them. This book is not only passionate but also filled with suspense and drama, as a natural disaster tests their resilience and Albie's sister falls ill. The comedic element shines through as Remy hilariously misuses English phrases, while Albie struggles with French expressions.

This latest book by Serenity Woods is a fantastic addition to her Billionaire Kings series. Albie has a beautiful home and lots of money but he has a hard time forming relationships due to the fact that he has a mild form of Asperger’s syndrome. Remy is on a year long visa to New Zealand from France, looking for the father she never knew. Even though Remy has shared Albie’s House for a while, they finally act on their attraction to each other. With only two weeks left on her visa, can they forge a lasting relationship?

This is a wonderful, heartfelt, sexy love story. As always, Serenity's writing pulled me in from the very beginning, until the very end, and kept me wanting more. All of the other characters, some of who have already had their own HEA, are warm and wonderful friends, and the interaction between them is fun to read. I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series!

A dreamy, sexy guy to make you melt!

I absolutely love this book! Albie is such a wonderful, sweet, sexy guy who put it all out there for his lovely lady. Albie has a touch of Asperger's (he can't read social cues), which I think makes him a fascinating guy. He is one of Serenity Woods' best heroes, and she has written a lot of great ones. I also totally love Remy, the feisty French woman who is trying to find her father's roots in New Zealand. I fell for Albie as quickly as Remy did, with all of the sweet things that Albie did and said.

The supporting characters are wonderful as well. I can't wait until the rest of them get their own books.

The bedroom scenes were on fire and had exquisite intimacy. I highly recommend this to everyone who loves steamy contemporary romance.

'My Roommate, the Billionaire,' by the incomparable Serenity Woods, is a wonder! I read it in two sittings and loved every minute of it. This big clan of geniuses and misfits and old friends and cousins are so lovable. And this tale has so much heart. I was brought to near tears a couple of times. It is also, hot as! and fun!

I'm not sure with what personal experience or authority Ms. Woods writes about Asbergers ("or just Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ... a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication." -taken from a good site for further info. https://www.autismspeaks.org/what-autism) but she certainly writes with compassion and sensitivity. Hopefully it will prompt others, like myself, to look into it further.

Albie King is the son of Charlie, one of the original Kings. Kudos to Woods for her look at people who may have Asperger's syndrome and explaining how they may struggle with verbal and non-verbal communication. Albie is enamored of his newest, and only remaining housemate, Remy. She's on a temporary work visa and must return to France. After agonizing over the effect a short-term fling might have, they agree to having it anyway. They come to realize that it will never be enough, especially after two cataclysmic events happen. First a natural disaster happens, putting many of the Ark employees in danger. Then a King family member becomes seriously ill, and everyone reflects on their blessings and the fact that no one is promised tomorrow. A happy ending does follow, reminding the reader that sometimes talking about your hopes and dreams is the right thing to do.

This is the 3rd book in the Billionnaire Kings series which follows the children & family of The Wise Men, the founding brothers of the We Three Kings foundation. I would recommend reading this series in the correct order as the lives of all the Kings are intertwined and mentioned throughout the various books. This story is about the relationship between Charlie & Ophelia's son Albie and Remy.

Remy has been living with Albie for four months since coming to work at the Ark during her tour of New Zealand. They are roommates and colleagues, and Remy is slowly falling in love with him. Albie is secretive but when he lets Remy in on what he does most weekends, Remy loves him more.

She only has three weeks left before she has to go back to France, but Albie has captured her heart and doesn't seem to want to give it back.

A beautiful cover, a wonderful, engaging story, and an author that needs to get more recognition for her wonderful work. Serenity Woods just keeps getting better and better, as does this series.

I discovered Serenity Woods a couple of years ago with the Three Wisemen series, and Charlie’s story was my favorite then. Charlie was a hot, smart, lovable man with an appealing nerdy side. His son Albie took after him in all the best ways, and Remy and Albie’s story was so readable and unforgettable. The two gentle, sweet souls provided such comfort to each other during some tough times. I absolutely loved all their interactions.

I was excited to see that Noah will get his own story next! The setting on his ark is unique and makes the whole series special.

Remy is in New Zealand on a travel work permit and moves into Albie's house whilst she works at The Ark and searches for her father. She likes Albie from the start, however, he is somewhat of a playboy which is not something she looks for in a man. Not to mention she has to return to France soon so no point attempting a relationship with anyone.

Albie is a fun-loving computer nerd, however, there is so much more to him. He just has issues understanding the usual social cues that others see due to his Asperger’s. Shying away from relationships he dates women for one night only, feeling that they wouldn't get him for anything longer than that. Remy catches his eye and whilst he asks her out he does it in his usual blunt way which she declines.

With her time at The Ark and in New Zealand coming to an end they are drawn together during a cyclone. Albie getting injuries, Remy rushes to take care of him and they spend the night together. Opting to continue their fling until she leaves, but will either of them be ready to say goodbye?

I loved Albie and Remy. The chemistry was fire since the first book and it was so satisfying to finally see them together. I loved Remy’s understanding and patience with Albie, how she learned how to communicate with him and how she deffended hima and let him in without judgment. And Albie is such a sweetheart! His innocence, sense of humor and care for Remy and the rest of the family made me fall in love with him.

I think this is my favorite so far. Overall, I love when a series features a group of friends or a family that loves each other so much. The way Serenity brings everyone back in each book without taking the main focus off the main characters is so heart warming and satisfying.

I think what I love about this author the most is the way she writes her stories around very real illnesses and life’s challenges. Albie, Summer and Poppy are three characters who are front and center in this book, and although the story got bogged down in a few places, I loved the overall message of hope and acceptance it told throughout. Remy is perfect for Albie, she brings the best out In him, and accepts his challenges without question. Summer’s illness was nothing short of heartbreaking, but the message is clear, live every day as if it’s going to be your last. Pretty special message.

Love through all obstacles

This read is a little slower than the others so far so I struggled a little bit getting through it quickly. At times I did find myself skipping pages just to move the story along. Albie and Remy’s love transcends language barriers and cognitive awareness. It is refreshing to understand the struggles of relationships from the perspective of someone in the spectrum. This story is a champion in that respects because while it is hard, it is so very worth it.

Serenity Woods takes you on a wild ride in this book. All your favourite characters are there, as well as we get to catch up with their fathers from the Three Wise Men books.
This book runs the gamut of emotions, everything from the pulse-pounding terror of a cyclone to tension-filled heart-breaking suspense in the hospital room to hot, hot sex. An eagerly awaited third in another series by a fantastic author, set in the beautiful Bay of Islands, New Zealand.

My Roomate, The Billionaire

This is book three in the series . It was so good! The romance between Albie and Remy was such a pleasant journey. They had such chemistry and their romance heats up to a sizzle! There are some sad moments through the book that had me in tears but as always Serenity Woods handles emotional issues with a gentle hand. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and I loved this book and look forward to the next instalment in this series.

Serenity Woods writing is powerful. She writes lush stories, with georgous environs. I will be seeking out more of her books nextg year for my reading challenge. I incredibly appreciate that not all males have to be alphasor have huge pieces of meat between their legs. The characters are riche, deep, and most enjoyable.

Emotional stuff.

Albie and Remy story was by far my favourite. It made me laugh, swoon and cry...it was during those moments when a sibling is so sick that the fear of losing them hits home especially when you'll probably gonna say goodbye to a new love returning home to France. Am amazing read so looking forward to Noah's story. He deserves a HEA.

I love these books

All the books in this series and the Three Kings series are such quick easy reads with a lot of heart and not a lot of drama. I have loved getting to know the next generation of Kings. Albie is so very similar to the wonderful Charlie and Remy is as perfect for him as Ophelia was for Charlie. I am anxious to see HEA for the rest of the Kings.

Loved it

Remy and Albies story was so sweet and yet so sad. I loved it. When tragedy strikes, not once but twice within a few days time, the kings crew must pull together and hold onto all things they hold dear to their hearts. Albie and Remy are a perfect match, one that starts with instant attraction and builds. I loved their story

Perfect!!

I loved the story of Remy and Albee because they were absolute perfect for each other. They were very compatible and were extremely patient with each other. I’m sure both of them had come from difficult relationships previously, but when they allowed each other into their hearts . . . Then it just clicked for them!

So very happy that Albie and Remy are going to be together after everything that has happened. Albie really deserves it! I love how you use the spectrum (asburger) in the story. And Summer was going to be ok again.
