Lolly Bruce spent several years in the lap of luxury, but now she's back in a world she knows: London's East End. Her guardian Mal Fury is doing time, so Lolly is working on the wrong side of the law to get by. She'll need to use all her street smarts to keep her safe in Kellston.

Then one day the Old Bill turn up on her doorstep. Mal is on the run, but why when he has only months left to serve? Lolly is convinced the only thing Mal would escape for is news about the daughter he lost nineteen years ago. She's the only thing he has left to lose.

Private Investigator Nick Trent knows better than to get involved with the Furys, but his better judgement doesn't count for much when it comes to Lolly. Before he knows it he's agreed to help her track down Mal, and take on whatever the East End underworld throws at them...

A good sequel, which ties up the loose ends from book 1

I normally enjoy books about gangland characters and their way of life, but this book failed to hold my interest. It started out fairly well, but it soon felt as though I were wading through deep, sticky mud, despite several good bits of storyline.
Because most of the time I felt a bit too bogged down with lots of detail, I failed to finish the book, which is a shame, as I felt it could have been a good read and just to my liking.

As a short quick read, I really enjoyed Stolen! It kept me entertained and I enjoyed the character of Lolly. The change of setting midway through from the East End to the country mansion was good and allowed you to see both sides of Lolly's up-bring, giving the reader the chance to understand her character further. The mystery of Mal's escape and the disappearance of his daughter is engaging and kept you guessing. If you're looking for a short entertaining read, I'd recommend it!

a cracking read.

we're back with Lolly again for another hair raising ride, follow her through seedy London making a living to keep herself afloat only to have the past come back and rear its ugly head. old and new characters join us for this adventure and maybe a little romance in the air.
Roberta Kray had a knack for this kind of genre. its action packed and doesn't hold back an punches.

This genre is definitely up my street, and was looking forward to reading it. Didn't realise until I had started, that it is in a series, and this was book 2. I looked up and it said it can be a standalone, but disagree. It would of helped me understand the characters and the plot more.

Another excellent read by Roberta. The ending was masterful. A really unforeseen ending! I highly recommend the Lolly Bruce series but best to start with the first book but not compulsory!

Another brilliant book very hard to put down once you start it. Twists and turns. You think you have the plot worked out until you reach the end

This is the 2nd novel in the Lolly Bruce story. This one continues the story where SURVIVOR left off. Lolly’s guardian Mal is in prison for a murder he does not commit. He escapes and with Lolly’s help camps out in the summerhouse of his mansion. Then another murder takes places and he goes abroad to Ireland. Other murders take place and interweave with each other. The solution to all the storylines of this novel are completely unexpected. Do NOT read this novel until you have read the previous one as you will not make sense of some of it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I was a little worried when I saw the book began with a cast list. Although I found the story reasonably interesting I did not feel involved. Having so many characters did not help, but the writing style was refreshing.
