I only read the sample but the writing is all over the place. All the characters come across as quite juvenile and it’s annoying how much random information the author has already given out. I’m not intrigued at all in Nash and Zayne’s story because...what story?? There’s too much telling, too many characters, too many setups for future books...

This feels very unfocused.

A Joyfully Jay review.

3 stars

This is my first motorcycle club story. I’m familiar with the idea, a brotherhood of rough men who often flout the law. A combination of mafia, cowboy, and robin hood that sounded like it would be right up my alley. The dark scenes are barely shadows here and for the most part the story keeps a light, breezy atmosphere despite the hints of a dangerous and brutal life.

Nash is a good-hearted young man who isn’t afraid to make the first move. He is, after all, the one who gave Zayne his number. As a paramedic, he’s learned to keep his head in delicate and oftentimes life-threatening situations; he likes his job saving lives and the idea of hurting someone or allowing them to be hurt goes against his very nature.

I picked this up because I recently got a book called Ares by this same author for free and it said that it’s a spinoff of this series. “Okay,” I thought, “I’ve been looking for another long MC series to settle into. Let’s give this whirl.” Uhhh….nope. Though I do give myself credit for not DNFing this.

First of all, I wonder if this series is a spinoff of another series as well. We’re thrown into it with so many characters that I felt I needed to make myself a chart! The author couldn’t decide whether to use road names or real names, so it doubled the names of who you had to keep straight. A bunch of names that all started with the letter A…Anders, Addison, Auggie, Ares. (I’m sure I’m missing some.) The characters never stopped coming and it felt like I should already know them all. 😵‍💫

Secondly, each chapter goes back and forth with the POV switching from Zayne to Nash so quickly that it makes your head spin. You never get to settle into anything. One chapter would go from Zayne to Nash to Zayne to Nash. Seriously? In one chapter? Yup. Forget putting the book down in the middle of things because you won’t know whose POV you’re reading when you pick it back up.

Thirdly, and this was my biggest issue with this book, it felt like a fourth grader wrote most of it. Sometimes I could get into a groove of reading, but most of the time it was stilted. So many consecutive sentences were started the same way. They, they, they. Or He, he, he. Or go back and forth starting with each character’s name.

He had a feeling it wouldn’t take much to make Nash fall in love with riding. He pulled up in front of Nash’s building. He waited for Nash to get off before taking his helmet off. He took Nash’s helmet and laid both on the seat after standing.

And this:

Zayne brought their mouths together. Nash’s lips were soft and hesitant against his. Zayne cupped Nash’s cheeks. Nash opened his mouth for him,

And this:

He helped carry the food to the table and then they all sat down. He poured bacon, toast, and scrambled eggs onto his plate. He dug right in, moaning at the delicious taste.

⬆️That one also bothered me because how exactly does one “pour” bacon and toast? I suppose you could “pour” scrambled eggs if they were runny. 🙄

I can’t even tell you how many sentences started with “he.” I kept hoping the author would get into some kind of rhythm and lose the “he” statements, but it never happened. ”He knew…..He pulled…..He searched…” then ”He pulled….He laced….He leaned…” These sentences were all in a row. 🥱🥱🥱 It was the same thing over and over.

Then there was the whole “Motorcycle Club” aspect of the story. That’s in quotes because it was a joke. There was one short “kidnapping” thing, but it was really lame. The guy walked away with a little bit of chafing on his wrists from being tied up for a minute. I wanted something gritty because that’s what you usually get with an MC book. This was one big fluffy story with no character development and no chemistry. The two main characters didn’t even have their first conversation until the 35% mark. I had no idea why these two were declaring their love for each other by the end of the book. They still barely knew each other.

I’m completely confused by all the higher ratings. Granted there are quite a few low ones, as well, but it boggles my mind. I did read that, somewhere down the line, the writing gets better in this series. But I don’t think that’s enough for me to chance it. Perhaps someday, when by brain has forgotten this mess, I will attempt to read Ares. I’ll see it sitting on my kindle and be like, “Oh! I haven’t read this one yet.”

This was a really good read. I am glad this is going to be a series because I definitely look forward to more books in this series after reading this one. The only reason that I am giving thi a four rating is because even though I really liked this book, I anticipated there to be more danger then there actually was. Don’t get me wrong, there was those moments when there was some danger but not as much as I thought there actually was. Other then that was was a great story about two people on the opposites of society just clicking and figuring out a way to make it work between them.

Nash is a paramedic for the fire department. He is happy in his work life and even in his personal life other then being lonely. He wishes he had someone to share his life with but as of now he doesn’t. One day while on shift he and his partner get a call to what turns out to be a motorcycle club where one of the members is having a heart attack.

When they get there he immediately meets a man named Saint, aka Zayne. Zayne has an important part in the club. So when one of there own is down, he still has to make the decision on whether to let civilians on the club land. When Nash speaks to him he makes the decision to let him help. Zayne is shocked at how attracted to Nash he is from the instant that meet and Nash even gives him his number and tells him to call if he wants to. But Zayne is not sure at first.

When another emergency comes up, Zayne immediately reaches out to Nash for his help once again and Nash does not second guess helping. This is what leads Nash and Zayne to getting to know one another better and Zayne to slowly showing Nash what life is like for their club. Thing do not run as smoothly as Zayne hoped it would but if they can find a way to make it through the rough patches, they may just stand a chance at a real relationship.

This was such a good love story with a little drama added in with a mix of danger. I look forward to the next book when it comes out. I really hope that it will be Joker’s story because that man has a heck of a story I bet. Great start to this series!!!

I didn't know what to expect upon starting Saint, the first book in Ana Night's Salvation Kings series. What I found was an amazing book that immediately sucked me in and was a pure delight.

Emotional and inspirational, there are many moments that tugged at my heartstrings. This is a wonderful reminder that not all stereotypes hold up to be true. The Salvation Kings are around to actually help people. Yes, they may have to do some bad things, but it's always for the better good.

An interesting conflict arises when Saint falls for Nash, a paramedic. Not only does Saint struggle with bringing Nash around the club, but Nash struggles with Saint being a part of the club. As a paramedic, his role is to help people, never to hurt them.

Saint's an absolutely riveting book. This is my first time reading an Ana Night book, and I am thrilled. I can't wait to read the next book.

This is a great start to a new series and I really enjoyed it. Saint is well written, gritty, intense, sexy, has a great storyline, intriguing characters and a lovely romance. Nash and Zayne are complete opposites but they are perfect for each other. They have an amazing connection and smoking hot chemistry. In spite of their differences they are determined to make their relationship work but Nash has to decide if he can deal with Zayne's dangerous and sometimes illegal activities as the road captain for the Salvation Kings MC. The secondary characters are wonderful as well and I can't wait to read the next book in this new and exciting series.

The opening of a new series around the Salvation Kings MC, featuring Saint and Nash was a very pleasant read. The MCs and the main plot were easy to follow and very well crafted. You could not help but "see" all the situations, which is a sign of great description qualities.
I loved how the author portrayed the club without underlying judgement or opinion. The secondary characters were very well written and complemented the story just where needed. I will gladly follow the series and see what comes of it.

I received a free copy of the book for review, which I post voluntarily and 100% honestly.

This book is an excellent start to a new series, in many ways. Nash is competent, kind, an excellent judge of character, and a true nurturer. Zayne is a badass on the outside, and a kind, loyal, upstanding protector on the inside. They are both take-charge guys, who are incendiary together. I just loved seeing how these gentlemen navigated a way to merge their very divergent worlds. All of the characters in this book are very well developed, which makes me so anxious for the next book in the series - I want to know what happens next! This is fast-paced, can't-put-it-down kind of book about belonging, and all of the best nuances of the word. Recommend, definitely.

..2 Thumbs Down 👎👎

Now I love a good MC stor, emphasis on Good. This unfortunately, falls short. Its a blend of SOA and Person of Interest but more saving than drugs or guns. The result is a plot that is startlingly similar to Blade (Hell's Ankhor) series.

Saint is a road captain of an inclusive MC, race, gender, preference...no problem. Nash is a paramedic who meets Saint on a call. The Perez's son Gabriel is the MC in the next book. Again like Hell's Ankhor...

Sure, hot sexy times but that doesn't equal out that I paid money for this rather than read something KU..

Saint is the first book in Ana Night's new series, Salvation Kings MC. Oh this one is HOT!
Nash and Zayne have heat and I love their interactions. The other characters were interesting and I love the MC family vibe. The story had humor, drama, action, sweetness and steam. Satisfying and recommended.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

A great story that is a promising start to a new series. Zayne is an outlaw biker who is a member of a MC and Nash is a straight laced paramedic. Two total opposites who click together perfectly. Their attraction and chemistry are undeniable and they are incredibly hot together if they can make it work! Looking forward to the next one in the series. Saint is the first book in the Salvation Kings and it’s definitely off to a great start!

Nash and Zayne are so good together! The chemistry between them is instant. I appreciate that they actually put thought into if they wanted to pursue a relationship that was more than sexual. The book also provides great backgrounds for the secondary characters in the story. I definitely plan to look for the next book in the series.

Hopefully either Joker or Ares story is next.

3.75. Although this wasn’t the best Mc book I’ve ever read it’s not the worst. I enjoyed that the MC was doing good. That they weren’t involved in drugs and prostitution. I liked that. Why must all Mc’s be bad? So that wasn’t a problem for me.

The flow of their relationship was my issues. It didn’t really build before they were declaring their love. They had a few dates and boom love. I would have like to see them be a couple for little while before that. Other than that I like it. Hopefully we will see other relationships happen

Saint is an attention-grabbing read. Nash is a paramedic and Saint is in a motorcycle gang. Nash and Saint attraction were noticeable from the beginning but Saint hesitated about it. There is love, romance, great intensity and the sexy time is hot. I'm looking for the next book in this series. I love Ana Night books.

My rating and review are for the entire series. No way am I giving the first book 4 stars because it definitely deserves more like 2. I had to push my way through the first book to get to the others. Let’s start with the things I didn’t like about the series:
- Nash and Saint had no chemistry, at all.
-there was waaaay too much sex in all the books. I would say 50% sex scenes and with the books not being more than 250 pages I’d like to say what a waste!!
-there were plot holes, especially in the last book, Jet. The whole book was based on a serial killer but earlier on in the book the author tells us something that would discredit the reasons why the serial killer did what he did. I don’t want to spoil it but if you read it you know what I’m taking about.
-some of the wording is off. This definitely needed to be proofread a little more
-I have no idea what any of the characters look like aside from their eye color and I’m not exaggerating. There was hardly any description of the guys. I have no idea how old they are either so it’s hard to guess what they would look like. I’m guessing the author used the cover models to let us know but it would have been nice to know more of their features.
-the author describes every single move being made (i.e. he picked up the glass and took a drink and then put down on the table, then he picked up his fork and stabbed a piece of meat and put it in his mouth.) the author gives us step by step of every movement and I wonder if that’s why the sex scenes are so long.

Now for the things that made me give this series 4 stars:

-aside from the first book the chemistry is very much there between the characters which is a big thing.
-there was no sex with OW/OM which is rare in these motorcycle books and I really appreciate that she didn’t have that in her books
-the growth in writing from book one to book three even was so noticeable.
-I could not put these books down. I found myself staying up late to read them. For some reason they pull you in.
-all the characters were very like able (aside from joker at times)

Also I really wished this author wrote MF books because there are so many MF love stories throughout the books I want to know about like Bones and Emery, Stiletto and Jordan and even Lena and Grant.

If you can get past the first book in this series the rest of the books are worth the read.

I enjoyed the characters and plot for SAINT but the writing is very simplistic with choppy sentences. It's not the smoothest to read and that does affect the flow but I was interested enough in the story that I wanted to keep reading. Both Saint and Nash are likable characters and I enjoyed seeing them find happiness with each other. Even with the writing I might have rated this one more star up but the story does stay fairly surface level and there are a ton of characters to keep track of, many of which seem to have come from a previous series (though I couldn't figure out which).

That was a bit boring and not at all predictable. The whole suspense side of it was kind of stupid. Not sure the author really did her homework on biker clubs.

LISTEN! There are a few things I want to give kudos to about this book.

1. This here book is a rarity amongst M/M books. Especially books involving interracial characters. I find the typical Black top/white bottom, Black Dom/twink to be so...boring and lacking in creativity. Because...just in case people didn't know...Black bottoms exist lol. This book doesn't do that typical troupe. For that alone, it gets all the snaps.

2. More frequently than not, when reading books involving interracial characters, the Black main character is often described as being light skinned, or bi-racial having hazel or green eyes. WHICH IS PERFECTLY OKAY! It's a relatable character but it's just not realistic to have that be the highest form of representation. In this story, Nash is Black. He's not some super dom, aggressive, Black male character or effeminate He's simply a Black man.

Now with that out of the way, lets get into this story. I have to say it was a pretty decent read overall. Saint is part of a very inclusive MC. Nash is a paramedic. They meet when one of MC members has an incident. From there the relationship between Nash and Saint goes from zero to sixty. There are moments of crisis, but overall, I'd say it's an insta-love type of story. There's one part where Nash does something completely out of character. Not being the level headed person his character has been throughout the story.

While it's great that everyone surrounding Nash and Saint are accepting of their sexuality, I would have liked a big more angst. More drama. Personally, I find it more satisfying when the HEA is hard fought for. The steam was good. Could have been a bit more spicy. A bit more carnal and passionate.

Overall, the story wasn't bad. What really won me over was the well done representation of Nash.

Saint by Ana Night is book 1 in the Salvation Kings MC series. It focuses on the characters Zayne ‘Saint’ Lewis and Nash Holland. Zayne is the Road Captain for the Salvation Knights MC. He’s a one-percenter and will do whatever it takes to protect his club and the people in it. One night during an emergency at the MC, he meets paramedic, Nash and sparks fly. Even though Zayne is unsure about bringing Nash into the MC, he can’t deny the spark that flies between the two of them.

The book focuses on the relationship that Nash and Zayne have and how sometimes life and secrets gets thrown in the way. Even though the MC claims that they are 1 percenters, they are a different type of MC which was refreshing to read about. The camaraderie between all the characters was wonderful to read about and it left a warm spot in my heart. I liked that although Zayne and Nash has issues to work through, they were open to developing their relationship, regardless of how difficult that was going to be, especially since they are from two very different backgrounds.

Sexy scenes between Zayne and Nash were hot! But it was also nice to see that that wasn’t all they were about. This is certainly an MC series that I’m going to read more of (I’ve already purchased the next two books in the series). If you like MC reads with plenty of actions, hotness, good friendships and alpha males, then this is a book for you!

Reviewing as I read cos its so confusing!

Confusing as hell. I feel I've missed a series. It refers to other events which usually are a way authors cover incidents that have occurred in a previous books.

I feel this author is new to writing, she literally just throws everything in, yet we still have stuff missing, like fully fleshed characters, the whole level 5 and getting kids away from danger, I had to read 3 times cos I thought I'd missed the explanation. Its just not explained enough.

Also in case you didn't realise this is mm.

The way these guys talk, ok I know they're gay but bikers don't say "very sweet of you" Zane to nash when he took a pic of hawk holding the baby. Very sweet? Really? A biker?? Noooooo

Dialogue is corny, the story is jnsta lice, mediocre and formulaic except she's written this as gay romance. Though tbh nothing really romantic about this story. Its all just too wishy washy. The sex scenes are so bad what should be hot af are cold n boring.

Ok finally finished, I did contemplating dnf at several points.

I read the author is Danish and wonder if English is her second language as that would explain her writing and English. Its just not quite right. Overly simplistic, amateur-ish.

Nope id like to read about joker but this writing style is terrible.

Good premise but very poorly delivered.

Zayne and Nash

Zayne was such a sweetheart. I actually liked him more than I liked Nash. Zayne wasn’t necessarily soft for Nash, but he was softer than he was with everyone else. While I really liked meeting all of the other MC members, it was definitely a lot of real names and road names to keep track of. Also, 60% in and Nash is still confused about road names? That’s either messy writing or a gross oversight by Zayne.

Zayne and Nash had some crazy chemistry going. Zayne couldn’t keep his hands off of Nash and I was all about it. I really did like these two together. There was the sub-plot regarding another MC that was mostly intriguing but I would have been fine without it.

Overall, this was a good MC read. Nothing overly dark or angsty, really, but certainly not fluffy either. Zayne was the clear winner here for me and kept me reading til the end. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

It's quite interesting the concept of a motorcycle club that's not involved in anything illegal. That doesn't mean that the members of Salvation Kings MC aren't tough guys,it's just that their main goal is to provide protection to those who need it.

Zayne (Saint),road master of the MC,meets paramedic Nash and spaks fly. Sparks that turn into scorching flames every time they're together... But,Zayne has secrets that eventually end up getting Nash kidnapped and maybe not even how much they've grown to love each other is enough to work out their differences.

Saint by Ana Night welcomes you to Salvation Kings MC,to a family of mismatched members who have found home together. The story is a charming romance with enough danger thrown in to make the plot more engrossing. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next book in the series.

I understand that we can't all like the same thing, and that is why I don't feel so guilty about this review. Halfway through I knew that this wasn't going to work for me. Frankly, I was bored out of my gourd. 😭

That is not to say that others didn't enjoy it, as the reviews stated over and over... it just wasn't for me. The writing felt one-dimensional and the characters didn't click like I was hoping for. I will say that I liked the idea of seeing a couple of strong women in what is usually considered a male-dominant situation.

As I like to give a new author a second chance, I will be jumping right into Joker and have my fingers crossed that Joker can do what Zayne and Nash couldn't... entertain me! 🤞🤞🤞

Even though I liked this book and the characters I wished it followed other MC books. With that said, I loved Nash and his friends. He has a heart of gold. I’m looking forward to book two, Joker, because I want to see Gabe get his HEA. 🖤🔥🏍️🔥🖤

My favorite quotes from Zayne “Saint”:

• When King had been approached about it, he’d put it to a vote, and it’d been a unanimous yay. Helping people in need was pretty much a cornerstone of their club. They didn’t have salvation in their name for nothing.

• The smile on Nash’s face made his heart soar. Having that man love him felt like he was sure it would feel if he’d won the lottery. He was lucky. So damned lucky.
