I ignored the warnings and wandered too far from home. And now a colossal alien warlord has got me tied up. He’s all horns, claws, and muscles upon muscles. My captor is savage, ruthless, dominant. Everything I hate.
And yet, the look in his alien eyes makes my heart race and my stomach flutter…
He’s supposed to be my enemy. I want him to be so much more.
KERAX I came to Earth to claim the throne. And then I saw her, and I knew I had to make her mine.
Her scent drives me mad. Her skin is soft and perfect. Her luscious curves fill me with desire. I can barely control myself around her.
The throne can wait.
First she will give me an heir
ALPHA is the second book in the steamy Sci-Fi Romance series Warriors of Kaizon, by Luna Hunter. Each book follows a different couple and can be read as a standalone. No cheating, HEA guaranteed!
So I didn’t like this book as much as #1. While we get dual POVs from both the heroine and hero, I didn’t find myself really caring about either. Kerax while alpha was also a cocky, conceited asshat. If I thought the first book was fast this book went at warp speed and didn’t seem to flesh enough out in the hundred some odd pages it was. Within a matter of two days and one night the two are professing their love for one another, which I guess I could get given that she is his fated mate ‘nera’ and both their hormones are going haywire making them both horny animals. The hero planned to come to Earth to a. kill hiss brother and tak his position as king and b. “Inseminate as many human females as he could find.” (And that’s his thought in addition to him often reminiscing on how many females he bedded to try and keep the bloodline going.) I feel so much more could have happened in the story and in fact the big threat in the conclusion was just kind of blah. Everything in book one seemed more fleshed out, interesting, dangerous and adventurous. This one didn’t feel like much got solved or resolved and the human threat could have been made such a bigger deal but within a page or two, threat eliminated. I’m also disappointed in Mikayla as she seemed like such a interesting and smart character. Since the fall of mankind left the world in rubble, Mikayla read and studied everything she could about the world before. I would have expected and enjoyed for her expertise to have played some role in saving the day. Guess I’m just disappointed they ransacked a castle in the first book I was just hoping for the same level of crazy and the most exciting thing I find from this story was Kerax’s dog. I’ll continue the series but I hope the excitement and adventure amps up again.
Title: Alpha Series: Warriors of Kaizon #2 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Luna Hunter Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger Genre: #Scifi #AlienStud # #5Stars🌟⭐🌟🌟🌟 •••••••••••••• 💢You know I don’t think I can get enough of Ms. Luna’s books. I swear I’m there in every scene that she writes. If you loved BEAST your going to love ALPHA. Definitely a Must Read!
🔹️Makayla is one of the human women on Earth that Avila saved with his mate Jade. Building a house in the woods he took care of everyone, his son, mate plus her friends. It is Jade and Vuka’s son Ka'de’s first birthday so Makayla is going sneak out to find just the right berries. But something happens and she dangling by her feet waiting for her death. Then out of nowhere someone with horns, claws, and muscles upon muscles. My captor is savage, ruthless, dominant. Lord help her, her mind say no way but her body betrayed her.
🔹️Kerax is a Alien Warrior who comes to Earth, after receiving his brother’s transmission. He has two things on his agenda both things are appealing to him. After he takes care of the KING! He is going to impregnate all for women on earth. Starting with the one he ran into a men were fighting over her.
This is book two of the Warriors of Kaizon and it was a fast read for me. It was hawt and heavy right from the get-go. Makayla leaves the security of the compound and gets herself in a sticky situation, to say the least. Kerax, newly arrived to Earth and Vukaror’s brother, rescues her and claims her…all at the same time.
Kerax and Vuka have some “unfinished” business and Makayla is very protective of her friends. She needs to be because Earth is in shambles, especially for women. Alpha is fun, it’s quick, it’s definitely smexy, and I enjoyed.
Short and sweet and too the point. Light hearted and quick read. Not as funny as book 1 but still a fun look into the lives and world of the main characters.
I was really hoping this book would improve the series. At the time of this review I have just finished this book and book 3, Savage, that is out in the series. The series seems to be picking up steam and I will get the rest of the series unless the author makes major mistakes. As of right now, major mistakes are riding a fine line. In this book, Kerax is very strong willed and set in his thought ways. But he is amazing with his alien dog Jip. And that alone has made him my fave H in this series of the 3 out so far. Makayla, his mate, she ended up becoming a bit frustrating. The main deciding factor for me disliking her happened after Vuka and Kerax fought. Vuka just left Kerax! Thinking he had killed him. He went and got Makayla, takes her back to their little compound, even though she was willingly with Kerax, and they tell her Vuka killed Kerax. Jade was super annoying. And the other girls trying to get her to eat and trying to be all nice. They acted like she’d get over it. How could they act that way? I hate Jade. And I hate how they discussed how overweight she was again. For her to act all high and mighty and she didn’t seem to care her mate, Vuka had thought he killed Makayla’s. And Makayla, WHYYYY would you want to stay with them after what you thought Vuka did and how Jade was all she’ll get over it? NO. You tell them you’re leaving! It’s like these girls keep choosing their friends over their mates. Friends can come and go, but a mate is someone me you build a life with. And when he’s deserving of your love you fight for him. I’m tired of these females denying bonds and treating the alien males like crap. So because of Vuka’s decision to fight his brother and then leave him, not only does Makayla suffer, but Livningston gets Kerax and experiments on him and puts a device in him! So basically, even thought Kerax went after Vuka first, Vuka leaving him makes the experimenting fall back on him as his fault. But then Kerax is the one apologizing in the end of the book? What? No. I won’t forgive or like Vuka or Jade again. Makayla and Kerax should stay on his ship more often and distance themselves from them. Kerax deserves to be loved.
It’s really more of a novella, so it’s good for an afternoon read. I think it was better than the first in the series, but it still moved a bit too fast and just seemed rushed. I think the books would be better if she made them actual novels and added more plot and expanded on the characters and stories. Also, this one got a tad rapey at the beginning, which wasn’t great as we find out later that the heroine was a survivor of past sexual assault and yet still wanted someone who tied her up and basically didn’t give her a choice? Overall I liked it though. Not great, not awful.
What an amazing book this is I read it all in one sitting it’s that good. Makayla is one of the four girls that have been through hell and back and survived by hiding out and now wants to make a cake for Ka’de for his first birthday he is the son of Jade and Vuka the alien beast that came to earth find a mate and save the females. Anyway while out looking for the berries for the cake she finds herself lost in the woods and must wait till dark to find her way home with the stars and that’s when it happens she is caught in a trap that pulls her up in the air, now hanging upside down the males come for her and want make her pay with her body. Then all hell breaks loose and a big horned blue alien comes and saves her by killing all of them but her problems have only just begun. Kerax is the youngest brother to Vuka the king but has never felt like he belongs after the way there father treated him his whole life and he hates Vuka because he was the favorite and now arriving on earth he will find the females to mate with and kill his brother once and for all. Kerax stumbles upon a female hanging from a tree with a group of human men fighting over who goes first with her and once he see the female something inside of he stirs and his body knows she is the one his mate and must save her and kill these men. Can these two make a go of it and become one and can the two brothers get along or will they fight to the death. Get this book you will enjoy it, this is the second book in this series so read the first book to get a better sense of what’s happening in this one, I know you will love it just as I did. I voluntarily read an arc copy of this book for an honest review.
When I first met Kerax in “Beast” (Warriors of Kaizon Book 1) I really thought that he was going to be the villain brother who revels against his family and tries to over throw his brother; but I was delightfully mistaken! Kerax is far from being the bad guy, maybe misunderstood but definitely not the villain.
I loved how he was impacted so hard when seeing Makayla for the first time that it was nice to see the stubborn alpha submit to his more sensitive side. Although, both he and Makayla were very stubborn all on their own but they perfect for each other. Kerax was ready to move the universe in order to keep his mate by his side but then I was shocked to learn that he still intended on over throwing his brother and becoming king! This book really kept you guessing as to what was going to happen next all the way to the end! Need to know how it ends then you need to read it for yourself!!
Usually, with any second book in a series, there are similarities, often too many to make it successful, but not in this case. Yes, the Kaizon warriors are arriving on Earth to find a compatible breeder, what takes them by surprise is to find their one true mate. Kerax, the youngest brother of the group manages to retrieve the signal from his brother first and arrives hell-bent on challenging for the crown because knows that once all the brothers make it to Earth, the rest of the dying race will follow challenging for the right to lead over this new "kingdom." I loved the introduction of Kerax's alien pet "dog," which allows the reader the first glimpse of a heart inside of Kerax because boy does he love his "dog!" The story's differences make this new adventure enjoyable to read and propels you toward getting the third installment of this series. So far, it is not disappointing whatsoever!!

I really liked this book. I found Makayla and Kerax story to be highly entertaining and so funny in parts. Kerax finds her while he is searching for his brother Vukaror to try and kill him because he thinks the throne is his. Makayla knows she should not have wandered to far from the home the women have made for themselves. Now she has to deal with Vuka's brother who has just saved her from a group human males who intentions would have damaged if not killed her. Now if she can just convince him that his brother is happily mated with a son, maybe he will not try to kill him. Kerax has one goal now he knows that human women are compatible with Kaizons, he will have his family too. Thank you to Luna Hunter for the entertaining review copy. .
This story is everything you expect from a sci-fi romance about aliens. Kerax is the alpha male that is headstrong, cocky, sexy, dangerous, dominant and completely dedicated to his mate. Makayla is headstrong, but also loyal, loving, feisty, curvy, and impulsive. The two together are hot, funny, entertaining and attract drama like a pair of magnets! Although it is not necessary to read the first story of this series, this story is a great follow up for the book.
Favorite quote in the book: Makayla: “If liking being carried around by an eight foot tall, naked, horny alien warrior is wrong, then I don’t want to be right.”
Great story but it is destined to get the same review I wrote for the first book in this series. Again like the first book it had a great plot and characters but it is missing out on so much story potential if it had only been longer and the plot more detailed and in depth. The characters revealing their deep dark hurts and secrets should have come way later in the story than they did. Exposing your demons takes trust in someone and you don't do that after only a day or two of knowing someone. Again it could have been more erotic if it had been longer with more hot and heavy scene potential. Beyond those irritants it was a good read.
The second book pick up around a year or so after the first one and it is Makayla who gets into trouble and has to be rescued by Kerax after he lands on earth. At first she resists his advances but quickly gives in. Livingston is still hunting the aliens and the women though so they have to be careful that they won't be trapped or killed. There were only 4 or so places where a word was missing or repeated and there were spelling errors. But those few spots did not distract from the overall storyline.
loved it. another great continuation of the series. can't wait to read book 3. read one and two today in just a few hours. terrific use of emotions like jealousy, forgiveness, love of family and animals, understanding, and much more. each character was struggling with hardships and hurts from their past but were able to overcome them with the love they found in each other, their friends and family. great sex scenes and a great well paced plot line that keeps u wanting to read to the very end. highly recommend.
I just finished book two . Loved them both . This can be read as a stand alone but is better when read in order . Definitely for adults only due to not and steamy Sci-Fi sexual content . It's well written and fast paced . I read it in about a day . I hope book three continues to be as good ! Kerax and Makayla find love and their soulmate in each each other's arms in what's left of Earth . I hope you enjoy the fantasy ! Luna Hunter thanks for writing a great book and series !!!
Here we have the second installment of Luna Hunter's newest venture into alien romance. I have to say this book surprised me. I had no idea of where it was going - or perhaps I should say it took a different direction than I thought it would take. Any book that can do that for me I consider a good book. My only complaint is that it ended too quickly to suit me. I want to know more and can't wait to read about the next brother. I hope I don't have to wait too long!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! It was a great book ! The saga continues with Makayla + Kerax Makayla got lost in the woods. Kerax saw the female, and he wanted her for himself. Let the battle begin! LOL Loved the characters + the storytelling ! It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book! I can't wait for the next book in this series.
The book was just as great as the first one and keeps you at the edge of your seat. It has everything you want in a romance about aliens, action, survival, villains, jealousy between brothers, find his mate, love, and steamy sexy scenes that leaves you saying ahh with awesome characters? Definitely a must buy and waiting anxiously for the next book in the series.
I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it! Makayla is a spunky, nerdy girl, and when we got her back story, I understood her inner strength. Derek is the jerky brother from the last book, he has issues, but he saves the girl, then keeps her. That's a simple breakdown of an action filled, sexy and emotional story that does not let your attention wander as you read it. I can hardly wait to read Brute!
This is Makayla's turn to find a Kaizon of her own. Too bad it is Kerax, the bad boy of the bunch. Good thing that Makayla sees his kind soft side. Can Kerax get over his hatred of his oldest brother Vuka? I loved the book but there were quite a few typos throughout it. If you can ignore those types of things than you will probably enjoy this book too.
I like this story. Makayla is strong and determined, despite the horrific abuse she has suffered. Karex, and his dog Jip, fund her. Karex is overbearing, and extremely resentful against his brother, who is already on Earth. They are attracted to each other. Together they face an enemy who wants to destroy Karex's family and conquer the Earth. I like seeing an alien with a pet, even if it were trained to be ahead dog. Jip is sweet and protects his family.
I love the very believable plots, and will read all her books, but the grammar errors of double verbs, adjectives, and such throws of the flow when they occur in the story. They aren't bad enough to keep me away from her books, but I have to reread the sentences to overlook them.
Book two in the Warriors of Kaizon series a well written story that kept me turning pages.Livingston is back and just as evil. This book has suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, villains, and romance. I want to read the next book in the series. I received a copy through K U and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Kerax comes to earth to defeat his brother to rule earth but is in for a rude awakening. He saves/captures Makayla and realizes she’s his mate. Kerax is a big jerk but he kind of comes around after some tough lessons. I enjoyed reading this so I’ll probably go back and read the first one lol.
