Nice mix of different writing styles & worlds created I have really enjoyed this group of stories so far. I will have to finish the last few later & update, but I love anthologies so I can get to know a few new authors works along with some I may already be familiar with. The Anchoring by Alexis Purdy was completely different than anything I’ve read lately & had my complete attention. This is a world I hope to see more of very soon! I was left with so many questions as to what will become of these characters. Being the only author I had previously read any work by I had to start with it. True.love by Aletha Kontis is a cool futuristic twist to Sleeping Beauty. I am really enjoying the fairy tale remakes popping up everywhere. This one was different from those I’ve read so far, & I look forward to reading more by this author. Level Ten by Danielle Annett was another I plunged into late in the night. Another new author to me that I will be keeping an eye out for more. Looking forward to finishing the rest of these short stories this weekend. Then I’ll update my review.
I'm truly honored to be an author in this collection of short stories! I must admit, I love reading everyone else's work, finding out what else has been brought to the table. This collection did not disappoint.
Here are my favorites (in no particular order, and obviously omitting my own):
But really, all of the stories were great. I loved the different takes on gamelit (one of them was used to help interface with ghosts!) and the incredible worlds created. There really is something for every reader of the gamelit genre, here. :D
I found these short stories a bit too sugar rush YA for my taste. A lot of hyperactive heroes and swooning over guys. Also a lot of teaser-type stories that felt a bit too open-ended to really be satisfying, and many didn't hold my attention.
I liked Level Ten by Danialle Annett (for bucking that whizzy YA trend by feeling gritty and serious) and Loxley by Sarra Cannon (because although it was a teaser and included some of that sudden swoonage that afflicts all YA girls, the writing and world building was good).
Anthea Sharp introduced me to LitRPG. Her Feyland series is phenomenal!!! LOVE the new story included in here.
This collection of stories with the real world and game world, it's hard to pick one favorite. And because I enjoyed all the tales, I've found new authors I'd like to check out. But right now, Alexia Purdy's story sticks out the most to me.
Pick this up and give it a go! You may find your new favorite author.

Omg what an awesome anthology. I loved every story. It combined two of my most favorite things gaming and writing. I would so love to see another anthology like this from these authors in the future. This has become one of my new favorite genres. I may have to write a litrpg soon.
I knew better than to grab an anthology because I really prefer longer stories but I’m glad I gave it a shot. There are some really good reads in this.
The Anchoring - Alexia Purdy I only read novella written by Ms. Prudy. And I'm so hooked by it! Characters were GREAT, and for sure Tana kept my interest with her view of the world she was a character that will need, no DEMAND full story as her story is so much more. And I need it, like right now!
