Lily is a deeply misunderstood and introspective young girl when she embarks upon an intricate web of lies spinning entirely out of control. Plagued by looming guilt and haunted by tormented dreams, she struggles to attain a valid sense of self-worth. Unable to untangle herself from the truth anymore, she seeks solace in the one thing which gives her peace, her sketch pad. The natural world around her soon becomes her canvas and ignites her passion for both love and life itself.
I found this book to be very vivid in its imagery. You can clearly see where the author takes you and feel how the heroine struggles with growing up without ever knowing her father and how that influences her decisions. Once into the story I was not able to put it down till I had finished the book. I cried along with Lilly as I could feel her sadness and pain as well as her joys. Highly recommended!
