This book is very unique and will appeal to many people but not all.
The book is many different things - counting from 1 to 7.5 billion, thinking skills - to answer the questions at the back of the book relating to each page. And about learning how everyone is different with different hobbies, fears, worries, interests, and paths in life but that we are all unique.
I enjoyed this book and found it intetesting and something different.
This book is very unique and will appeal to many people but not all.

Musím uznať, že na prvých stranách som si hovorila, že ach, toto bude jedna z tých kníh, ktorú budem musieť s deťmi stále dokola čítať a ich to bude baviť a mňa nie. Lenže! Čím ďalej sme išli, tým viac som sa vracala na predchádzajúce strany, lebo som nachádzala nové súvislosti a niekde za polkou mi docvaklo, že budeme si asi postupne vyrábať zošit, kam budeme zapisovať objavy.
Situácie v knihe sú zo života, aj keď je tam asi viac zločinu, než na vlastnej koži zažijeme (dúfam).

What a strange little picture book! This is likely to be a big hit or a big miss with folks, but it's certainly unique! It's basically a sort of a seek-and-find book that goes from 0 to 7+ billion people, telling you a little bit about the people in each spread.
Each illustration is done with light blue and white, other than the people who are in full color. For each, there is a specific number of people and then some strange little random information about some of them. You have to guess which, and think about the rest of the story.
For example:
Two people in the forest. One of them says something the other will remember the rest of his life.
Six people in an elevator. One of them is scared he's missing out. Two of them feel lonely.
It goes on like this, going up by one number for most of the book and then skipping to larger numbers like 1,000 and ultimately everybody. At the end, there is a double page spread that asks you questions about some of the people (where was this one relaxing, etc.) and then at the end there is a little blurb with more of the story for each spread.
It's a very interesting perspective and it will certainly make children (and adults) think. It can be a bit odd and a bit dark at times. One spread is of people in a prison, and only a certain number are actually guilty. Of the 15 people at a funeral, only 13 of them are grieving. Of the 26 people in the supermarket, one of them is stealing.
On the playground, there is the cliche of one of the children will invent a vaccine that saves millions of lives, but for the most part they are unique little interesting tidbits. A surprising number of the people stand on their heads one time or another.
I saw after reading the book that it was written in Norway, and had a bit of an aha! moment. This definitely doesn't feel like a standard American picture book, which is not to say that's a bad thing at all. It's just got a different sort of feel to the art and the stories. I didn't personally enjoy it as much as I expected to but I can't put my finger on why. I think I didn't really connect to the art and for some reason the stories sort of missed the mark for me. That said, it's the kind of book that will stay with a child and make them think, which is almost always a good thing. It's definitely one to check out, and one that many people will really enjoy.

Grāmata, kas neatklājas no pirmā acu skatiena, bet tikai lasot, pētot, meklējot arvien no jauna, gluži kà lobot valrieksta augli, var atrast arvien jaunas kopsakarības, kuras gluži kā ikdienā neatkarīgi vienam no otra veidojas mijiedarbībā.

? Ik zag dit boek bij mijn rondgang door mijn bieb en was nieuwsgierig of het leuk materiaal was om te gebruiken bij het voorlezen.
🤔 Ik vind het wel weer veel bladzijdes, maar dat heeft als voordeel dat je het ook meerdere voorleessessies kunt gebruiken. Ik denk dat je de kinderen juist leert kijken naar gezichten van anderen, wat kan je daar (waarschijnlijk) uit aflezen en wat niet.....Dat opent ook mogelijkheden voor leuke gesprekjes met de kinderen natuurlijk. Erg leuk kijk- en zoekboek wat mij betreft!

Ik las vorig jaar Samen op weg, ook van Kristin Roskifte en toen bedacht ik dat ik een "laagje" gemist had: Bij literaire boeken lees je vaak mooie zinnen en besef je soms pas later dat er bijvoorbeeld een metafoor in het begin van het verhaal staat, die wat zegt over de afloop van het verhaal.
Deze 2 boeken zijn eigenlijk best heel moeilijke puzzels, die voor een volwassene al moeilijk te maken zijn en voor een jong kind dus denk ik ook, maar voor de puzzelaars onder de kinderen zijn deze uitdagende boeken heel leuk en voor de "minder geduldige" kinderen is er nog genoeg te genieten, alleen met een laagje minder dus.

Nezinu, kādēļ, bet sākumā par šo grāmatu biju skeptiska.
Neviens, tad divi.. un, kas tie par jocīgajiem un noslēpumainajiem tekstiem?
Maz pamazām mēs gluži kā detektīvi šķirstījām šurpu turpu grāmatas lappuses, lai atklātu pēc iespējas vairāk par personāžu noslēpumiem un būtību. Šī ir literatūra, kas ievelk lielus un mazus. Un jārēķinās vismaz ar 40 minūšu kopīga darbiņa pie grāmatas.

Na pierwszy rzut oka jest to całkiem prosta książka do nauki liczenia. Podczas czytania i przeglądania ilustracji, dochodzimy jednak do wniosku, że sama historia również jest bardzo ciekawa a do tego niezwykle wartościowa.
"Wszyscy się liczą" to pozycja o tym, że każdy z nas jest wartościowy i ma swoją rolę do odegrania we wszechświecie. Bohaterowie to zwyczajni ludzie, tacy jak my. Mają swoje sekrety, marzenia i uczucia.
Świetną rzeczą są pytania znajdujące się na końcu książki. Zadając je dziecku, sprawdzamy jak wiele wyniosło z przeczytanego tekstu i jak bardzo jest spostrzegawcze. To taka pozycja wyszukiwanka, w której ważną rolę pełnią kolorowe ilustracje, bo to wśród nich ukryta jest część odpowiedzi. Część z nich przynosi nam codzienne życie. Kristin Roskifte zachęca nas zatem do szczerych rozmów ze swoimi pociechami na temat miłości, żałoby, bankructwa czy złych uczynków. Nie dziwię się, że ta pozycja zdobyła nominacje do różnych nagród. Przesłanie, jakie ze sobą niesie, zasługuje na naszą uwagę. Polecam!

Interesanta grāmata par mums pašiem un cilvēkiem mums apkārt! Katrs no mums ir unikāls – katrs iet savu ceļu, dara, dzīvo, domā, kļūdās, priecājas un piedzīvo daudzveidīgas emocijas. Šī grāmata nav tikai lasāma – tā ir iespēja darboties, analizēt, meklēt atbildes uz jautājumiem: kurš, ko un kāpēc? Un kā jau dzīvē – pirmais iespaids var būt maldīgs!

I’ve read more picture books than most people, and sometimes I think I’ve heard every story. And then I run across Everybody Counts and I smile.
Everybody is a counting book and a Where’s Waldo-ish book as well as a picture book filled with stories. Here’s a typical page: There is an illustration of a hospital ER, drawn in blue, with chairs and magazines, and an attendant, and with seventeen people pictured in full color. The text: “Seventeen people in the emergency room. One of them hopes to recover before the costume parade. Nine of them are frustrated they have to wait so long. One of them loses something.”
I found it endlessly fascinating.

Een leuk tel en zoek boek!
Ik zag dit grote boek bij de bibliotheek en hij moest gewoon mee. Een boek met allerlei mensen? Een zoek boek? Goed, dat vind ik altijd leuk! En deze zag er erg kleurrijk uit.
In het begin gaan we nog een poppetje per keer omhoog maar zodra de nummers hoger (rond de 30) worden wordt het anders gedaan, dan gaat het per x (10/15 of meer) omhoog. Je hebt dus niet alleen een zoekelement maar ook een telelement. Erg leuk.
Het was erg leuk om te zien wat de poppetjes allemaal doen en waar we allemaal een glimps van krijgen. Van scholen en schoolpleinen met spelende kinderen tot een concert en een gevangenis. Ik vond het erg leuk om te zien wat er in elke plaat gebeurde al moet ik zeggen dat ik het soms wel ietwat saai vond omdat er zoveel meer gebeurde en je maar een aantal dingen (die soms echt onmogelijk waren om te vinden want het was vaak gebaseerd op houding of gezichtsuitdrukking) ging zoeken.
Het boek werd op punten ook wel erg duister. Dingen zoals: “Een van hen zal binnenkort gewond raken.” of “Niemand ziet dat er een misdrijf wordt gepleegd.” of “Een van hen zal zo meteen vallen en zich pijn doen.” Ik moet zeggen dat, omdat er nou niet veel te zoeken was op punten ik dus uit ging kijken naar dit soort stukjes. 😛 Toch een beetje spanning in het boek.
Ik vond het alleen erg jammer dat wederom pas aan het einde nog 2 pagina’s zijn (en zelfs een QR code) met nog meer dingen om te zoeken. Ja, sorry hoor, ik heb nu al een tijd aan het boek gespendeerd en ik heb niet veel zin om helemaal opnieuw te beginnen. Leuk dat je meer dingen toevoegde, maar gooi dat aan het begin. Wanneer mensen nog NIET zijn begonnnen en dus nog veel zin hebben. Dit is iets wat ik vaker zie in dit soort boeken en ik snap gewoon niet de gedachtegang.
Maar ik vond de tekeningen erg leuk en kleurrijk. Ook fijn vond ik dat als er een achtergrond was deze heel simpel was, dingen waren alleen maar blauw omlijnt, niet ingekleurd. Ik vond dat best fijn want ik heb wel eens met zoekboeken dat alles gewoon wegvalt in de achtergrond. Maar hier waren juist de poppetjes de focus. Leuk!
Dus ja, ondanks dat ik teleurgesteld ben over dat er zo weinig te zoeken is en dat er pas aan het einde meer komen wanneer het al te laat is, heb ik toch genoten en ik zou het boek aanraden. En ja, ik zou natuurlijk altijd naar het einde kunnen gaan, maar sommige zoekboeken hebben daar juist eerst de oplossingen! En ik weet hoe mijn hoofd is, dan hoef ik die plaat niet meer te doen want ik onthou wat ik zie voor een tijdje.

Su último libro, "Todos contamos" ha sido traducido a más de 30 idiomas. Siendo, en 2019 galardonado con el Premio de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil del Consejo Nórdico. También ha ganado los premios de oro noruegos de "Visuelt" y "Los libros más bellos del año", y fue nominado para "Brageprisen" y el "World Ilustration Award".
Tras la lectura del libro puedo asegurar que estos galardones son de lo más acertados, y no solo por la dedicación y el detalle por el que sus ilustraciones están confeccionadas, sino por la cantidad de recursos que ofrece en sí y los valores que transmite.
De grandes dimensiones, "Todos contamos" es un álbum llamativo que promueve el valor de las personas, la empatía y la tolerancia, al mismo tiempo que muestra la diversidad social existente en nuestra realidad.
El libro se compone de páginas cuyo foco principal son ilustraciones que reflejan viñetas de acciones o situaciones representativas de la vida diaria. En la parte inferior de las mismas aparece un número con ciertas premisas que dirigen la historia del libro.
Dichas premisas nos narran los encuentros de un niño cuya historia inicia en la oscuridad de su cuarto y poco a poco se va trasladando a diferentes situaciones en donde va experimentando una serie de vivencias que le acercan a un mayor número de personas.
Aunque cada premisa sea individual y parezca aislada, en realidad nos va narrando una historia que con pericia y atención el lector podrá ir descubriendo.
Las ideas parecen sencillas y cotidianas, sin embargo, encierran un gran mensaje reflexivo y permiten al lector participar, cuestionar y debatir con otros lectores sobre la temática.
Debido a su simplicidad es fácil sentirse identificado y, al mismo tiempo, replantearse cómo es la vida del otro, ponerse en su lugar, descubrir que detrás de cada persona hay una vida diferente con experiencias y situaciones, a leer no solo la imagen sino lo que transmiten las personas y el cuerpo a través de la expresión corporal, entre otros.
El libro a su vez es interactivo. En cada página exige de la atención del lector, proponiéndole retos en los que debe leer la postura y expresión o identificar a cierto tipo de personas. A veces es fácil reconocer la premisa, aunque en otras ocasiones el lector se ha de fijar más en la imagen, pudiendo la respuesta llegar a convertirse en múltiple elección.
Se trata de un libro muy versátil. Para empezar, la edad a la que va dirigida puede oscilar desde los 3 hasta los 10 o 12 años, dependiendo del uso que se le dé. Por otro lado, promueve valores importantes como la empatía, la diversidad, la tolerancia, la autoestima o el respeto, al mismo tiempo que se disfruta de la actividad. Ayuda al desarrollo de la percepción memoria y discriminación visual y maneja contenidos como el conteo, las adivinanzas, el busca y encuentra, la creatividad, etc.
Destacar que las cantidades que se manejan son consecutivas hasta el 30. A partir de ahí, salta a cantidades aleatorias cada vez más grandes.
Como es de esperar, con cada página el juego se vuelve más complejo.

Sin duda, "Todos contamos" es un álbum muy original y diferente que ofrece, con mucha simplicidad, una serie de actividades, tareas y juegos que permite releerlo y disfrutarlo una y otra vez, dado que en cada relectura se hallan múltiples sorpresas.
Personalmente, lo he gozado muchísimo y lo considero un gran recurso lúdico y educativo que no dudaré en regalar estas Navidades.

Tras la lectura del libro puedo asegurar que estos galardones son de lo más acertados, y no solo por la dedicación y el detalle por el que sus ilustraciones están confeccionadas, sino por la cantidad de recursos que ofrece en sí y los valores que transmite.
De grandes dimensiones, "Todos contamos" es un álbum llamativo que promueve el valor de las personas, la empatía y la tolerancia, al mismo tiempo que muestra la diversidad social existente en nuestra realidad.
El libro se compone de páginas cuyo foco principal son ilustraciones que reflejan viñetas de acciones o situaciones representativas de la vida diaria. En la parte inferior de las mismas aparece un número con ciertas premisas que dirigen la historia del libro.
Dichas premisas nos narran los encuentros de un niño cuya historia inicia en la oscuridad de su cuarto y poco a poco se va trasladando a diferentes situaciones en donde va experimentando una serie de vivencias que le acercan a un mayor número de personas.
Aunque cada premisa sea individual y parezca aislada, en realidad nos va narrando una historia que con pericia y atención el lector podrá ir descubriendo.
Las ideas parecen sencillas y cotidianas, sin embargo, encierran un gran mensaje reflexivo y permiten al lector participar, cuestionar y debatir con otros lectores sobre la temática.
Debido a su simplicidad es fácil sentirse identificado y, al mismo tiempo, replantearse cómo es la vida del otro, ponerse en su lugar, descubrir que detrás de cada persona hay una vida diferente con experiencias y situaciones, a leer no solo la imagen sino lo que transmiten las personas y el cuerpo a través de la expresión corporal, entre otros.
El libro a su vez es interactivo. En cada página exige de la atención del lector, proponiéndole retos en los que debe leer la postura y expresión o identificar a cierto tipo de personas. A veces es fácil reconocer la premisa, aunque en otras ocasiones el lector se ha de fijar más en la imagen, pudiendo la respuesta llegar a convertirse en múltiple elección.
Se trata de un libro muy versátil. Para empezar, la edad a la que va dirigida puede oscilar desde los 3 hasta los 10 o 12 años, dependiendo del uso que se le dé. Por otro lado, promueve valores importantes como la empatía, la diversidad, la tolerancia, la autoestima o el respeto, al mismo tiempo que se disfruta de la actividad. Ayuda al desarrollo de la percepción memoria y discriminación visual y maneja contenidos como el conteo, las adivinanzas, el busca y encuentra, la creatividad, etc.
Destacar que las cantidades que se manejan son consecutivas hasta el 30. A partir de ahí, salta a cantidades aleatorias cada vez más grandes.
Como es de esperar, con cada página el juego se vuelve más complejo.

in questo libro le persone contano. letteralmente. si parte dallo zero, nessuno, e si arriva a 7500000000, ovvero tutti noi. insomma, siamo tanti, eppure siamo tutti unici. in questo libro si conta e si conta, basta capire in che modo "tradurre" il verbo contare.
un bel modo di capire come vanno le vite di ognuno.. oppure no. perché, vedete, questo libro è accompagnato da immagini che possono aiutarti a capire ciò che dice la descrizione o che possono trarti in inganno. ci sono cose che si riescono a capire e altre che sembrano assurde e incomprensibili. è proprio come siamo noi, no? a volte libri aperti, con le pagine da sfogliare, altri siamo una copertina che nasconde molto di più. questo libro è una metafora e penso che non sia una cosa "da comprendere", ma da inglobare in noi stessi, con un nostro personalissimo significato. io ho colto ciò che volevo, ma tu, lettore, potresti cogliere l'opposto di ciò che ho colto io stessa, no? ecco perché sarebbe bello proporvi questa lettura, ed è ciò che sto facendo in questo momento :) vi sto invitando a giocare con queste pagine, a sfogliarle, concentrarvi sulle figure, leggere tra le righe, aprire il vostro occhio interiore (no, non come dr strange eh) e lasciare che vi guidi attraverso le vostre più svariate conclusioni. fatelo, sarà divertente! e, forse, anche rivelatore.. :)

Okulda tarih dersinde yirmi kişi var. Biri, bizim zamanımızdan önce yaşamış onca insanı düşünüyor. Biri, sınıfın oyuncak ayısını kaybetmiş. Biri, futbol antrenmanına katılmaktan korkuyor. Biri de gelecekte başbakan olacak.

Sayfalar ilerledikçe sayfada resmedilmiş kişi sayısı da artıyor ve her sayfada ilginç gizemler, kişilerin hayatı hakkında bilgiler (ama kişileri sizin bulmanız gerekiyor sayfada) yer alıyor. Eğlenceli bir yanı var ve her yaştan her türlü insana yer vermesi, okuyan kişinin düşünmesine yol açması benim çok hoşuma gitti.

Persoonallinen kirja täynnä piilokuvia (täällä kaksi nelikymppistä lukijaa ilahtui etenkin puhelintaan tuijottelevan, huonoryhtisen aikuisen ilmaantumisesta kaikkialle 😄), numeroiden opettelua ja yhdenvertaisuuden viestiä. İlk etapta çocuklara yönelik, sayı saymayı öğretmeyi amaçlayan bir kitap olduğunu düşünmüştüm ama sayfaları çevirdikçe yaşam, insanoğlunun çeşitliliği ve bu çeşitliliğin oluşturduğu harmoniyi gözlemledim. Kitabın, çocukların insanlara ve insan davranışlarına karşı objektif bakış açısı geliştirebilmeleri için faydalı olabileceğini düşünüyorum. Roskifte, illüstrasyonlarla insanların sosyal çevreleri ile etkileşimini, farklılıklarını göstermiş. Ormandan bir sahne de var, bir maratondan da... Çok çeşitli, eğlenceli ve renkli bir kitap.
Kütüphanede on sekiz kişi var. Biri, kütüphanede toplam kaç hikaye olduğunu merak ediyor. İkisi de orada, kitaplardan fazlasını bulacak.

Купили племіннику книжку, щоб вчився рахувати, а вона виявилась дечим більшим. Крім простого рахування та пошуку персонажів у ній заховані майже детективні загадки. Одні й ті самі персонажі зустрічаються на кількох різних сторінках у різних обставинах і таким чином ми дізнаємось їхню історію. Чим більше уваги приділяєш книзі тим цікавішою вона стає. Думаю, малий проведе з нею багато часу.

Iedereen telt mee is een thematitel voor de groepen 3/4 van de Kinderboekenweek 2023. Dit boek is een zoek- en kijkboek. Het is een uniek boek, waarbij het verhaal ondersteund wordt met getallen. Het verhaal begint bij 0 en eindigt bij 7.500.000.000. Op elke pagina zijn er mensen te zien en een kort verhaaltje geschreven over deze mensen. Zo begint het boek met 1 persoon en bouwt dit aantal zich op tot en met 30. Telkens is deze jongen te vinden op de tekeningen. Vanaf 30 gaat het in grotere sprongen omhoog en het is erg leuk om te tellen of er daadwerkelijk 45 mensen op de bladzijde staan afgebeeld.
Elk bladzijde bevat ook een kort verhaaltje over wat sommige mensen bezighoudt. Sommige zinnen zullen nog wat onbegrijpelijk zijn voor kinderen uit groep 3/4 en niet helemaal bij deze jonge doelgroep aanslaan. Er wordt namelijk nogal in raadsels gepraat die nog best lastig te ontrafelen zijn. Het biedt wel een mogelijkheid om te praten over de afgebeelde mensen, te praten over wat deze mensen bezighoud. Helemaal achterin het boek is nog een leuk overzicht met mensen die je kunt zoeken. Wat mij betreft had dit overzicht met bijpassende vragen voorin het boek gezet mogen worden. Dan had je direct vanaf de eerste bladzijde kunnen gaan zoeken. Ook staat er een QR-code in, waarin alle geheimen van het boek wordt weergegeven.
Het verhaal sluit af met: 'Zeven en een half miljard mensen op dezelfde planeet. Elk afzonderlijk hebben ze hun eigen unieke verhaal. Iedereen telt. Ook jij!' Dit geeft de essentie van het boek eigenlijk weer. De illustraties zijn ook allemaal divers en elk kind zou zichzelf kunnen herkennen in 1 van de illustraties. Dat is zeker goed bedacht!

супер книжка для любого возраста в целом — можно учить цифры, придумывать истории про людей, искать всякие штуки на картинках (там встроены всякие загадки, то есть книжку можно читать много-много раз, пока всех персонажей не найдешь). и хороший повод поговорить с ребенком об очень разных вещах — смерть, равенство, влюбленность и тд
