Skip Williamson’s art is the ONLY reason to pick up this thin cartoon anthology of cartoons he did for Sidetracks, a Chicago tabloid published in the 70’s. Sadly, the material hasn’t retained much of its humor, dating itself and necessitating a lengthy intro (riddled with typos) explaining the politics in Chicago at that time. Even with this introduction, the material is barely worth reading. I am giving it two stars only for the graphic look of Skip Williamson’s cartoon creations.
