This society is very cruel towards the women. They are abused , harrased, tortured, discriminated and what not. Ananya, the protagonist is like every other women, suffering and being tortured. The book is very nice. The story revolves around an oppressed women and her agony. The best thing about the book is that the story is emotional but it is not at all depressing read. The narration is very impressive and holds strong emotions even in the simplest lines. This book is a quick read and its worth reading. Talking about cover, it signifies its title accurately and the title is really great. A must read to every women.
The best short story you'll read! I really liked the concept. It's a fabulous book. The topic and the message is very strong! I'm highly impressed by the presentation and the planning to display the thought!
You should read this book! A light read with a strong message!
This is n inspiring story about our protagonist. Our protagonist, Ananya who gets marry at an early age and then goes through a bad time in her in-laws house. She doesn't only suffer but stand up against the wrongdoers. The narration was quite good and inspiring too. Language was lucid one. It was a tiny read, I finished it in one sitting only.
A short story that effectively sends out an 'enough is enough' message via the actions of an abused woman.

This is a short story about Ananya, a girl/woman who gets married at a young age and has to face the cruelty of her in-laws, especially her husband. How she manages to fight back is what forms the essence of this book.
What I liked about the book: --> That the story is told by someone who has been a witness to the injustices vetted on Ananya. --> Rightly points out that when it comes to women's rights and status in society, we as a nation, have a long way to go. --> Ananya's character which is a portrayal of the most strong and resilient women in our country and how they are treated, despite their best efforts to keep the husband and his family satisfied. --> The way Ananya decides to take back control of her life through her actions. --> It is left to the reader to decide whether what Ananya did was right or wrong.
What I did not like about the book: --> The narrative seems impassive, which fails to evoke the right emotions of anger and empathy for Ananya. --> The grammatical errors are quite a few to ignore. --> 15 pages for a book priced at 49 rs/$2.99 seems a lot. --> The end was a little confusing.
Quotable quotes: --> The fact remains that there are women in 2018 who have to fight to rest for two hours at noon, who are treated like vending machines that can deliver babies till the desire is met. --> Only women have this uncanny quirk of forgetting their agony and forgiving tribulations; giving love and care to their kin at a difficult time.
