This debut book inspired by real life follows Mia and J, two struggling tech co-founders, as they hit the road with J’s disabled and aging dogs for a California road trip. Narrated by Mia, an avid outdoorsy-type, the story follows these two very different women as they travel through Yosemite, Napa Valley and Big Sur. During the women’s journey together, they not only experience a variety of entertaining and heart-warming ups and downs, they also have moments of self-discovery (and bonding with the dogs, too). You’ll want to travel along with Mia on many more adventures as she shares her travel stories she gathered throughout the decades, starting with her most recent destinations and ending with tales from her teens. Future books in the series will chronicle Mia’s travels throughout South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the US. Each book will jump back a decade, highlighting Mia’s tales of travel, self-discovery and the relationships she builds with herself and others.
What a charming book, so sweet! I love the characters including the dogs. Women over fifty should take note, this book is for you. It’s a great summer read.
I love this book it was a great quick read and it's about a story of two women who are looking for financial success and romance and happiness it's a book about self-awareness and the give-and-take of a successful friendshipI really enjoyed it it was funny and cute and the dogs,... these wonderful creatures add such a wonderful funny element to the story I would definitely recommend it
This is the most enjoyable book I have read in a long long time. So refreshing. The characters - and the dogs - were so believable. I highly recommend this delightful book.
Two Girls, Two Dogs, and a Campervan by Bea Sharif is a fun, lighthearted look at traveling, friendship, and life. Bea Sharif takes her travel adventures and injects them into a fictional story that will warm your heart.
If you are a dog lover, you must read this adventure story. Stormy stole my heart. Striker, the flying dog, has enough emotional issues to fill a book of his own.
The author can use her words to place you right in the book. You feel the exhilaration of the hikes, smell the salty ocean air, and taste the wine.
I thought the dynamic between the friends was well-written. It seems Mia often gives into the needs of J, but that is a widespread occurrence in many relationships. Hovering just under the surface are hints that each girl has some recent trauma in their life. I picked up a vibe of recovery throughout the story. Their business trials could cause this vibe, but it felt more personal.
The dogs, the girls, and even the camper-van create unique tales to capture your attention. I wonder if we are becoming jaded and demanding of action-packed adventures in our novels. This one is unique in that the daily chores and events create the story. There is no sex, no violence, no nail-biting drama. It was like a refreshing breath of fresh air.
Sharif mentions this debut novel is just the start of Mia’s travel journals. I certainly enjoyed her trip to Yosemite, Napa Valley, and Big Sur. I hope the next book is on its way

I can’t wait to read more in this series! The “girls” are relatable and fun, the dogs are cute and all I know is I want to go on this road trip with my girlfriends. The author takes you on their personal and professional journey and it’s not all roses but you love riding along, experiencing their moments of joy! Women, be inspired by their story.
Great beach read! Love this book... It's a fun tale of best friends and their dogs on a California road trip. I love the characters and the description of the iconic destinations from Yosemite to Calistoga and Big Sur!
I read this book on a recommendation from a friend. I felt like I was with these two women. I liked the dichotomy of the two characters. It probably helped that I’m a dog lover so the fact that they brought the dogs made the book even better.
an interesting enough read to keep my attention. I love s adventure novel but I felt sorry for the suthor as she travels with her neurotic frie d and her two pups. The old pooch and the suicidal monhrsl. She faces one disappointment after another.
