Collects the newspaper comic strips based on the Nickelodeon series, Rugrats.
Nickelodeon’s beloved animated series Rugrats premiered in 1991 and gave the world thirteen seasons of unforgettable baby fun and adventures. With its unique blend of humor and family values, the hit show established itself as a pop culture phenomenon and cemented its legacy as a benchmark animated series for both kids and adults. It’s unparalleled success gave way to movies, merchandise, and much more, including a long run of newspaper comic strips.
Collecting the newspaper dailies, presented in color for the first time ever in print, and Sundays from 1998 to 2000, this collection follows the babies on a series of stand alone adventures perfect for readers of all ages.
Interestingly enough, I never knew that Rugrats had a newspaper strip run. Picked this up randomly at the library this week, for nostalgia's sake.
For the record, I think some of the strips were funnier than I remember the show itself actually being. Rugrats was one of those things that always seemed to be on TV when we were at my grandma's house, but not our favorite show to watch... 🤷🏻♀️🤣
There is one thing in this world I am absolutely certain of and it is this: Chuckie Finster will forever remain the most relatable character ever created.
I only recently found out these existed, and I am so glad I did! Rugrats was my favorite show growing up, and these comics expand upon the show perfectly. It has a little bit of everything, including the movies and All Grown Up, and I am pretty certain almost every character from the show makes at least one appearance throughout this book. Highly recommend for fans of the show new and old.
