Beautiful Bible. 😍

First and foremost, I need to clear the air: this is NOT a gendered book. The only place where the editors hint at a particular presentation is when the editor’s note only mentions biblical figures Hannah and Esther. And to that, I say “come on editors, do better. Resist the idolatry of capitalism and gendered marketing, please. It harms all of us who cannot fit your false expectations of hyper masculinity and feminism.” We need to resist the consumer world that says a Bible designed to highlight the beauty of scripture does NOT mean that it should be primarily marketed to girls. Boys MUST learn to see the beauty of scripture, too. If you get this version for a girl, get it for a boy, too. The Bible is for all people, so let’s stop boxing ourselves in with gendered stereotypes. Thank you and I will now step off my soap box.
This Zondervan NIV 2011 updated translation, written in Zondervan NIV typeface, is a WONDERFUL version of the Bible that is highly engaging. First of all, it does what many versions cannot: it meets the needs of visual learners. The editors of this version worked with BibleGateway to find the most searched scriptures and balanced them with scriptures that are lesser known to present 600 scriptures in colorful artistic presentations through the entirety of the Bible! 9 different artists took charge of illuminating the 600 different scriptures. They also did a fantastic job of making the chosen scriptures memorizable so that folks can engage with their Scripture reading for memorization as well.
Each page of the Bible has a couple of inches on the edge with lines for note-taking. Every few pages has this space taken up with the artistic presentation of scripture. These illustrations are gorgeous and reflect the essence of each individual scripture.
The Bible also comes with sticker tabs for each book of the Bible, if you want to have the books of the Bible marked in this way. All this to say, this version of the Bible is meant to be engaged: written on, highlighted, and covered in stickers. Have at it! Mark it up and make it your own!
The Bible also comes with a sturdy box carrying case which is helpful for being mobile. It is also small enough to carry around with you! The cover itself is a gorgeous felt floral pattern with a woody brown felt binding. Visually appealing without being obnoxious.
The back of the Bible has a table for understanding biblical weights and measures in comparison with our modern weights and measures, an index of the 9 scripture artists and which scriptures illustrations they created, and 5 pages of lines for note-taking.
It has been a joy engaging with this visually stimulating and artistic version of the NIV translation Bible and I look forward to utilizing it and learning from it in the months/years to come!

The NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls has all the attributes I have come to expect from the Beautiful Word line – an attractive cover, a sturdy feel, convenience, plentiful illustrations, and a reliable translation.
About the Bible: The Teal Leathersoft Over Board cover is attractive, modern, and likely to appeal to girls. The built-in bookmark makes it simple to find one’s place. The lay-flat binding allows the pages to open fully for coloring. Included in this gift pack, are four colored pencils: red, yellow, blue, and purple. A few more colors would have been nice, but there also sticker pages and tips for Bible art journaling.
About the Illustrations: The NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls boasts over 600 verses illustrated in ready-to-color line art. The illustrations offer variety: flowers, items, shapes, lettering, and plenty more. The pages without illustrations are lined for taking notes or jotting down thoughts.
About the NIV version: A thorough preface addresses why the NIV version was chosen, the revisions that have occurred since the original product, the translation philosophy, and the formatting. I like that the translation has been updated to become more gender-inclusive. For example, Genesis 1:27 reads: “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
While there are footnotes that provide clarity on the text, the NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls does not include any commentary or devotions. I especially like this because the Bible is intended for young people. Not having the commentary allows the girl to focus on the text and omits the denominational/societal biases that sometimes accompany commentaries.
Final Thoughts: The NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls is a gorgeous Bible suitable for tweens and up. I plan to pass this on to my daughter when she is older, but I might have to acquire one for myself!

THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I’VE EVER READ!!! I decided to read the Bible from front to back for the first time. I’ve been a Christian since I was a kid but I thought it was about I read every book in the Bible 😊
This is the most important book you will ever read . May his words be written in my heart for eternity! For anyone that has been turned off from God because of not perfect humans behavior , God loves you come as you are! The world may reject you and spit you out but Jesus won’t ! I’m willing to bet my life on the truth that is Jesus/God . HE LOVES YOU, he is not mad at you . He just want your heart , he didn’t come for the righteous but the sick ! You’re never too late to come to the lord , he has been waiting for you!

NIV, Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls is a perfect gift set. The set includes: The Beautiful Word Coloring Bible, stickers and four good quality colored pencils. The Bible is hard cover and leather bound. Within the pages, there over six hundred verses to color. The back includes a few pages to be used for note taking and several reference pages. There is, also, an attached ribbon bookmark to make it easy to mark the last place read or current coloring project.
I am giving NIV, Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls a very well deserved five plus stars. My daughter has already gifted a set for her friend’s birthday and looks forward to start using her own set. I highly recommend it!

First off, the NIV, Beautiful Word Bible is so pretty! The hardcover is softened by a gold colored Leathersoft texture with a floral spine that spills onto the front and back cover.
I’m a huge fan of the single column design because it gives the pages a cleaner appearance and provides ample space in the margins for notes, journaling, or creative artistry.
The 600+ illustrated verses throughout the book (some in the margins and others full-page) are colorful, youthful, and inspiring. This truly is a beautiful word Bible in both appearance and substance.
This NIV Beautiful Word Bible is suited for any age who can read 9.9-point print size.

This is my favorite edition of the Bible I’ve ever owned. The pages are beautifully edged in “gold.” There is plenty of room to write in the margins (wide, lined space to write) while still fitting into an easy to hold Bible. There are extra pages for Notes in the back. It includes 2 ribbons for marking your place that are beautiful. This is my first time reading the Bible cover to cover. It is a wonderful book and a completely wild ride. Learned so much and look forward to re-reading again and again.

May 28, 2025Not great on the kindle since you can’t see the color. But layout is nice I wish it lended itself for better use on the scribe. Notetaking etc. but then again I don’t think the scribe’s technology is there yet either.

The NIV, Beautiful Word Coloring Bible for Girls is gorgeous! In addition, it comes as a gift set including stickers and four coloring pencils.
The leather-soft-over-board cover has a youthful floral scheme, and the lay-flat design is so convenient. It contains a presentation page for gift giving, a table of contents in both the traditional order and alphabetical order, tips for journaling and coloring in the Bible, the Old and New Testaments in the classic two-column design, and an attached satin ribbon bookmark.
I love coloring Bibles, allowing readers to study God’s Word in an artistic way and encouraging them to delve deeper into Scripture. The wide margins contain coloring verses, line art, and ruled journaling space, and 7 additional ruled note pages are included in the back of the book.
This lovely NIV Bible is targeted toward 8-12-year-old girls, but I feel it’s suited for any age who can read 8-point print size.
