When a victim with no ID is found murdered, Detective Jackson believes it’s another hate crime. He rounds up members of a local white nationalist group, but his task force doesn’t have enough evidence to hold them.

Soon after, another woman dies of what looks like a possible suicide. Yet a witness claims the victim had argued with her estranged husband right before. The team has to split up to investigate both deaths, and the detectives are pushed to their limits.

When they finally identify the first victim and a reporter reveals a shocking detail from a prisoner, Jackson realizes the crimes are connected. But without any solid evidence, he has to extract a high-stakes confession from a suspect with everything to lose.

I write the bestselling Detective Jackson mystery/thriller series—a four-time Readers Favorite award winner—as well as the Agent Dallas series, the Extractor thrillers, and provocative standalone thrillers. My 30 novels have been highly praised and have sold more than a million copies.

I reside in Eugene, Oregon where my many of my novels are set, and I'm also an award-winning journalist who earned the Grand Neal. When not plotting murders, I enjoy standup comedy, cycling, social networking, and attending mystery conferences. I've also been known to jump out of airplanes.

Book 14...if you're here...you already know it's going to be great. Another wonderful book by LJ Sellers. A Crime of Hate was a pretty fast read…but it had been quite a while since the last book, and I was hungry for it. As always, the crew worked wonderfully well with each other. I always like reading about the romance triangle. Looking forward again to the next book...whatever it may be. I'm already guessing that personal relationships will be an interesting side of whatever crime story it holds.

Another Page Turner

L.J. Sellers is an author of unusual pace and power whose near faultless writing delivers top class reads time after time. Maybe the climax here was a bit far fetched, but even it was, it worked.

THIS IS A DEFINITE 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 READ!!

"A Crime of Hate" is a non-stop mystery; full of twists and turns and lots of action!

Jackson is at the hospital visiting an elderly man, Pham, who was assaulted by a masked man - a white nationalist. Then Sgt. Lammers calls him - there's a dead person and he goes to the crime scene. When he gets there, Evans and Schak are already on the scene. It's a Vietnamese woman with no ID and her head was hit repeatedly. Was this a hate crime?

There's been another death and Evans and Schak are at the scene - a woman was found dead in her bed - her name is Jola Shaffer. Was it suicide or murder?

Are the two women connected in some way?

What happens next is mind-blowing! I did not see who the killer really was - I was taken by surprise!

L.J. has written another thrilling mystery! It had me on the edge of my seat! I can't say enough about the characters she's created - they all care about each other - and I care about them too.

This is book 14 in the Detective Jackson Mystery series - if you haven't had the opportunity to read the series - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT - you won't be disappointed - I promise!!

A terrific series

This was another intense, complex, and suspenseful thriller with many surprising twists that you certainly won't see coming.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

For the author: I just thought I'd let you know that there's been a few editing errors throughout this series. For example, from the beginning it's been mentioned that Jackson had a late model hot rod, but the year and make have changed several times. (68' or 69', GTO or Mustang) In regards to the same car, it was stated that he'd sold it, but the reasons why keep changing as well. (For the son's adoption fee's or the daughter's doctor fee's) There were a couple of other things, but these were ones that were included in almost every book and keep changing. Just thought you would like to know.

A really fine mystery

LJ has done it again. Mix detectives Jackson and Evans with a motivated news reporter and dirty family politics and you have the makings for a great mystery book. Did I mention that there is more than one plot here? Good reading.
