A couple of murders, the county fair, horses and a school bus demolition derby combine in this well written mystery featuring Zoe Chambers, rural S.W. PA deputy coroner and paramedic. One of my favorite series which keeps getting better both in character development and twistiness of the plot. Highly recommended!

Fair Game is the eighth book in Annette Dashofy’s Zoe Chambers Mysteries series. The storyline is well plotted, the three-dimensional characters are well developed, and there are lots of twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. There’s a lot going on, including several subplots, in this engaging fast-paced book. Fair Game is a great read; however, it’s a little edgier and contains more adult language than most cozy mysteries.

Zoe Chambers is a paramedic and deputy coroner for Monongahela County, Pennsylvania. She loves horses and owns a farm where she houses her horse, Windstar, but is currently living with her boyfriend, Vance Township’s Police Chief, Pete Adams, while trying to make her house livable. Zoe’s second cousin, Patsy Greene, is showing her horse, Jazzel, at the county fair, and convinced Zoe to do the same. Both Zoe and her EMS partner, Earl Kolter, volunteered to man the ambulance and provide medical services during the weeklong fair. While staying at the Vance Motel, Victor Hewitt overhears a death threat coming from the room next to his and reports it to Pete. Pete starts looking into the matter, but when he receives a call from a Parson’s Roadhouse waitress about an abandoned car, he goes out to investigate and discovers the body of a woman, later identified as Vera Palmer. While Pete tries to find out what happened to Vera, Zoe is interacting with several people from her days in 4-H, some encounters pleasant and others not so much. She befriends the troubled son of an old nemesis and fellow 4-Her, and finds herself trying to console Vera’s husband, Jack, who’s helping at the fair. There’s a gruesome discovery after the annual school bus demolition derby, and Pete has another death to investigate.

The eighth book in the Zoe Chamber mystery is a gone one as Annette Dashofy has another clever story. There 3 different themes running through and all brought skillfully brought together as one tale.
Zoe is at the fairground to show her horse and is reunited with her 4H pales. Zoe is concerned rather a 4 after is being abused by his Mother and is determined that he is reunited with his biological father. Pete finds a dead woman along the river and is busy trying to determine the cause of death. He also learns a traveler who over years someone plot in the death of a male. Both Zoe and Pete are concerned about what will happen if they marry. Pete has a ring and wonders if Zoe will finally say yes to the question.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND SERIES.

FAIR GAME by Annette Dashofy | A Henery Press Mystery. If you like one, you’ll probably like them all. (Goodreads)

Review:

The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and it was these descriptions that pulled me into the story right from the very beginning. I could picture in my mind’s eye the fair going on, the midway, the games and the food booths. It made me want to go a a county fair and experience these things in real time.

The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy exciting read. The mysteries are well plotted and move along at a steady even pace. There is more than one dead body found, and that means even for clues to sift through. This was not an easy mystery to solve, which is how I like it.

The characters are well developed, well rounded and three dimensional. Zoe has a heart of gold and wants to help everyone that she meets. Sometimes this gets her into trouble, but that is who she is. Pete is a great Police Chief and he wants Vance Township to be as safe as it can be. And that includes Zoe, his girlfriend and the love of his life. When these two work together, there is not much that can stop them When I get to spend time with Zoe and Pete, I am a happy camper.

I very highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. It is definitely one of my very favorite series and when a new book is released, I savor it like a great meal. I am so looking forward to the next one.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book provided by the publisher, Henery Press, and Edelweiss, which I greatly appreciate.

Fair Game is the eighth book in Annette Dashofy’s Zoe Chambers Mystery series. Zoe Chambers is a paramedic and deputy coroner for Monongahela County, Pennsylvania. She loves horses and owns a farm where she houses her horse, Windstar. The house on the property is not liveable, and Pete, her boyfriend, jokingly, but truthfully, calls it the money-pit. Zoe’s second cousin, Patsy, has convinced Zoe to show her horse at the county fair. She and her partner Earl are manning the ambulance and medical tent as long as they are already there for the week. Zoe knows a lot of the horse people as well as many who were in 4H with her when she was younger. When one of the parents turns up dead outside a local bar, Pete is convinced it was not an accident due to overindulging in alcohol. When a second body turns up, they are frantically trying to find the killer and the connection between the two deaths.

This is a wonderful series with great, realistic characters. I love Zoe and Pete. They are both intelligent, caring, loyal and somewhat emotional. Both of them have baggage that they are trying to come to terms with, yet it makes them the people they are. I like that Zoe has a profession that is related to law enforcement. She is not an amateur sleuth like many cozies have, but she is involved in solving the cases due to her job. She also does not take a lot of chances that put her in danger, although she might still have situations that are not safe. I enjoy the relationship between Pete and Zoe and am so glad to see it moving forward. The police in this series and book are not bumblers, they actually do solve the cases with some help. The storyline is well plotted, with a lot of twists and turns that kept me engaged and reading quickly. There’s a lot happening in this story, yet I never felt confused or lost. There were a couple of subplots that added some mystery and red herrings to the major storyline. I call this series a smart cozy mystery. It is a bit edgier than others I have read, yet I would still consider it a cozy. I definitely recommend this book and series to those who love mystery stories as well as cozy mystery aficionados. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book upon request. The rating, ideas and opinions shared are my own.

Fair Game is book eight in the Zoe Chambers Mysteries. I have previous read books 2 (LOST LEGACY) and 3 (BURNED BRIDGES). A lot of stuff has transpired since I last ventured into this world. Needless to say, I had a bit of a struggle getting adapted back into the setting and remembering who was who and what was what. I was about halfway in before I felt like I had my footing again.

The mystery is very intricate since there is more than one victim and lots going on including someone ripping off the fair for its cash box. This story really did need the expertise of Zoe, Pete and Wayne to follow all the threads to a victorious conclusion.

I have to admit I had no clue who the culprit could be and until the successful retrieval of one victim’s phone, I don’t think any of them (the three searching for information) had a clue either.

This book really keeps you on your toes and checking your score card. This is not a simple two victims one culprit story. I felt sad but then again satisfied that justice had been found even though victim two was such a butthead.

You kind of know what is coming from the beginning since Pete is fingering this velvet box he has locked in his desk. But the ending is so sweet and I was glad to see it all fall into place for Zoe and Pete. I kinda wanted to slap Zoe upside of the head and scream, “answer the man!” I look forward to future books to see where it all goes from here. Great things are ahead, I think.

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank Edelweiss, Henery Press and the author for allowing me to read this title.

Zoe's latest adventure, #8, takes place at the 4-H sponsored fair Coerced to show her horse, Zoe's able to be on EMS duty too with her her partner Earl. Zoe makes major life decisions when faced with an offer to sell her horse.

There are many new characters mixed with series regulars to keep thing rolling along in a multitude of side directions. I loved the school bus derby.

So much to learn about owning and showing a horse and this is lovingly explored in this series as Zoe's passion is part of who she is.

I am looking forward to Zoe & Pete's relationship reaching a new level too.

I volunteered to read an ARC from Henery Press through Edelweiss. Release date May 14,2019

ATTENTION KEEPER!

FAIR GAME (Zoe Chambers Mysteries #8) is an ATTENTION KEEPER! Dashofy is on the top of her game with this latest installment of this fantastic series. She includes her main characters of course but adds new characters that you won’t soon forget. Her plot is complex and will keep you guessing until the very end. Her setting is the Monongahela County Fair complete with the 4-H Horse Club Members and Competitions as well as other Adult Horse Show Competitions. There are all the aspects of any County Fair such as the Food Booths, Exhibits and Games of Chance. They also have Tractor pulls and such but the Big Event is the School Bus Derby. Zoe has to be there to show her horse Windstar so she volunteers to work as an EMT for the majority of the week. She is also the Deputy Coroner and has no idea what all that will entail before this week is out. Dashofy has presented her readers with a dynamic novel that draws you in quickly and keeps you reading late into the night! I was provided an ARC of this novel by Henery Press and Edelweiss. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.

Annette Dashoffy brings us one amazing book after another with her Zoe Chambers Mysteries. I didn’t think any book could match Cry Wolf, but if it has an equal, Fair Game is it. Fans of the series will love, love, LOVE Fair Game, the eighth book in one of the best series around.
If you have never read any of the books in this phenomenal series, start it now. Once you read one Zoe Chambers novel, you will be a fan for life! I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series but whatever it takes, check out Zoe and the gang.
The complexity of the plot had me hanging on until I could not keep my eyes open at dark-thirty in the morning and my first thought when I awoke a few hours later was about a plot point that had not yet been resolved. Ms. Dashoffy creates multidimensional characters with strengths and weaknesses that create a link between the reader and the people of Monogahela County.
Be prepared to be touched with both joy and sadness throughout the tale. An old friend brings great news and a new friend gets the ultimate in bad news and Zoe is right in the middle of all of it. Be assured that there is enough humor and horses to keep us balanced but you might want to have a few tissues for those happy and not so happy moments.
I was thrilled to be approved for an advanced readers copy from Henery Press via Edelweiss and I am more than ready to share my love of the book and the series. The Zoe Chambers series is among the best mystery series out.

Zoe Chambers is a paramedic in rural Pennsylvania. She owns a farm that needs work before she can move in, but it is where she houses her beloved horse Windstar. Her cousin Patsy is showing her own horse Jazzel at the county fair, and has convinced Zoe to do the same. Because of this, Zoe has volunteered to work her shift at the fair, which will allow her to do both.

Below are extensive references to the plot of the story, and I have added them in spoilers for those who have not as yet read this book:

I loved this book. The story line was intriguing, and there were plenty of subplots that wove themselves in with all the threads beginning separately and twisting together slowly. Starting with the beginning thread - a man reporting a possible murder - it began a chain of events that deliberately initiated this thread and made for a riveting tale that keeps one engrossed in the tale.

Zoe's wrestling with the decisions she needs to make in her life coincide with the decision that Pete needs to make in his. While Pete's is almost immediate in the story, it takes some time before we get to Zoe's. But we find that both of them are wondering about the path their lives will take if changes are made; and we also see that both of them - without actually speaking to each other about it - are committed to the fact that whatever decisions are made, they aren't willing to do so without considering the other person. It's done so well that you would think the author was actually on speaking terms with both Pete and Zoe (which, of course, Ms. Dashofy is indeed); and it attests to the fact that she knows her characters well and their actions and reactions to any situation.

The same can be said about these characters regarding the deaths of two people; Zoe and Pete have very different reactions but it all winds up in the same place. Yet Zoe has more on her plate by far, and she's trying very hard to do the right thing while questioning her own judgment. It's a dark place she's in, and not one in which I would want to find myself.

I love Zoe and Pete, and even Wayne. You can easily tell that he value's Pete's friendship and his input. Zoe and Pete are intelligent, caring; while Pete can keep his personal life out of his professional one, Zoe differs in that she allows her emotions to enter into her actions. Never does it infringe on her professional status as a paramedic/coroner, but it attests to the fact that because chosen a career in which she helps others that she is also willing to help others in her daily life. It makes for two very dynamic people who are very different externally and internally.

The story was taut and written well; the mystery itself was quite different and believable; while there were a few red herrings strewn about, the ending came as quite a surprise and was both sad and bittersweet, making one wish the outcome could have been different while understanding just the same. Yet there was still another surprise to come that gives us something to look forward to in the next in the series. Highly recommended.

The Zoe Chambers mystery series is serious and, at times, rather dark. Zoe Chambers is an EMT and deputy coroner in Vance Township, PA. Her boyfriend, Pete Adams, is the Police Chief for Vance Township.

Zoe is a country girl and has always been crazy about horses. Pete is a city boy and has had to learn more about the country life than he ever expected to by way of his job. They currently live in town, close to Pete’s job. Zoe has a run-down horse farm that is currently more of money pit than a home. She is able to stable her horse, Windstar, there while she slowly fixes it up.

The perspective of this book, as the previous ones in this series, alternates between Zoe and Pete. Their jobs necessarily cross over many times in the investigation of crimes.

The setting of “Fair Game” is the county fair. Zoe is there to show her horse, though it is somewhat unexpected and certainly unplanned for. The crime that is being investigated, early in book, happens elsewhere but the friends of the victim and the later principle suspects have centered at the fair.

The crimes in this book are also centered around the fair and around 4H. Zoe feels compelled to investigate, not only because of her job but because the people involved are anywhere from acquaintances to close and dear friends.

In addition to other fair and carny activities, the book covers a school bus demolition derby. Turns out that this is a real thing and, when not involved in a murder mystery sounds to be fun to participate in and to watch.

I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Edelweiss.

Let me just say that this is one of my favorite series, because it is set in a fictional area very close to my home.

See, I live in Charleroi, PA, which is a few miles from Monongahela...and this book is set in Monongahela County, which is somewhere near Pittsburgh. Believe me, when I started reading the books, I had to get out a map and check. Was I missing something?

I love Zoe and Pete and with every book I read (and I have missed a few on the way) I feel like I'm getting reacquainted with old friends. Zoe is smart and a very real character. She's a EMS worker and deputy coroner, even though her stomach as problems with autopsies.

I love how well developed the characters are and how likable they are as they work to solve the case or cases. In this instance, two cases that seem like they could be connected and they slowly start to seem connected. From the death of a woman that seems like an accident but has too many coincidences to the murder of judge at the fair.

I loved the setting of the county fair..and could easily envision everything that was happening.

This is the first cozy-ish mystery that really left me emotionally gutted. See most of the time, there's a definite bad guy. Sure there is at least one baddy, but when it all comes out...readers, be prepared to possibly shed a few tears for what happened.

OH and not to worry the end will turn your tears to smiles.

This is a series that mystery lovers will want to check out.

Zoe Chambers is spending the week at the county fair, showing her horse and working in the ambulance. However, it’s not the relaxing week she’d hoped for as she keeps seeing people from her past in 4H, people she’d rather forget. Meanwhile, Pete Adams is investigating the mysterious death of a woman who vanished after a drunken night out. Except her friends all insist she wouldn’t have gotten drunk. So what is really going on?

Fans of the series know to expect plenty of twists, and that’s what we get here. Even though I knew something that was coming later on, I was pulled into the story and enjoyed watching everything unfold. Zoe and Pete continued to shine as our co-leads, with us spending equal time in their third person points of view. I was also happy to see Pete behaving in a way I could support in their relationship here. The rest of the cast are all strong, and that included some supporting characters I was happy to see again. These are a little darker than the cozies I typically read, but as long as you know that, you’ll be fine. As I was reading this book, I realized how much I love the sense of community these books have. If you are looking for a fast-moving plot with characters you’ll love, this is the book, and series, for you.

The county fair is the setting for Annette Dashofy’s mystery Fair Game. It is part cozy and part police procedural. Fair Game is a page turner with two murders and several viable suspects. Complications keep arising as EMT and deputy coroner Zoe Chambers has duty at the county fair where she is also showing her quarter horse. Some of the crimes occur in neighboring jurisdictions so her boyfriend Pete Adams, police chief in Vance Township, Pennsylvania, as well as several other law enforcement colleagues are called in.

Threads include 4-Hers, a family with a child in rehab due to a horse accident, Zoe and Pete’s romantic relationship, abusive boyfriends, teenagers attracted to the carnival, and a school bus demolition derby. Zoe tends to see the best in people and her intuition sometimes gets her in trouble. She is smart, fearless, and caring and those characteristics make her a heroine you will root for. Chief Pete Adams, a thorough investigator who loves Zoe and is supportive of her and her passion for horses and her work. He wants the best for her as she struggles to overcome a less than perfect past.

I would like to extend my thanks to Edelweiss and to Henery Press for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love the Zoe Chambers novels and how readers get to learn about things like horseback riding, 4-H, police work, and the coroner's office. I love the idea of the mystery taking place at the county fair. There is so much going on in the book but it did keep my attention. First, Vera Palmer is found dead on the side of the road near a restaurant where she had dinner with her friends. When the fair is full swing and the school bus derby is done, another character is found dead. Were the two related or not?
Did one person commit both murders? What was their motive? A lot of good questions and it's hard to find some of those answers. I love the characters of Zoe, Pete, Wayne, Abby, Franklin, and the members of the Vance Township police department and the fire department. There are two mysteries in this book so I had to keep each one separate in trying to find out the answers to the murders. The one thing I will say again, Zoe moves in to situations before she thinks and before she calls Pete, the police chief! She is always getting herself in trouble for this reason! But I guess Zoe wouldn't be Zoe without that trait! The only reason it took so long to read is because of things happening in my life.

All my reviews for this series mention the painstaking effort that Dashofy takes to write her realistic rural procedural mysteries. In Fair Game, research took on a fun aspect as the author not only visited rural fairs, she worked in them as a teen. This reader wanted to jump into the fair food court to scarf the funnel cakes -- they were so close to reality.

The suspense is three pronged in episode eight for Zoe and company. One: Will her desire/need to decompress from the previous few months be compromised by an high school crush? Two: Will helping her friend with the 4 H events get in the way of her EMT responsibilities? Three: she knows all about grief -- will this help with a heart broken teen? Oh yes and who put the body in the bus for the demolition derby?

Previous interviews with Dashofy told us there would be 10 books in this series. At book 8, the romance between Pete and Zoe hits one of the key moments in a couples life. He proposes. Sorry no spoilers .. from me.

I mentioned seasonal in my tags. It doesn't matter what time of year it is for the reader, Dashofy brings them right to the feeling of the season. It may be April but I wanna go to the FAIR.

Highly recommended especially for teens as they play an important part in Fair Game

This book takes Zoe to the county fair for a week, where she is working with the ambulance service as well as entering her horse Windstar into competition as well. While there, she finds herself in the investigation of a mysterious death of an acquaintance from her 4H days.

Fair Game takes place through most of the book at the county fair which gives us a chance to see much more of Zoe’s love for horses and learn about her time in 4H and we get to know more about Zoe and Pete and this weaves in alongside of the mystery story line very well.

I love that this book was “on location” because Annette has a genuine style and attention to detail that really draws a reader into the story (one of the things I really like about her books). Not only picturing in your mind what you are reading, but you can hear all the sounds of people, the games, hear the sounds, smells and feelings that go along with horses and Demolition Derby, wonderful carny foods and everything else at a county fair. It really brought back memories of yearly visits to the county fair for me. This is a five star from me, and a must-read addition to your reading list!

"Fair Game" earns 5/5 Blue Ribbons...Clever and Engaging!
Zoe is back! I am an eager fan of Annette Dashofy's Zoe Chambers well-crafted series, and this book did not disappoint! Although more a "cozy with an edge" including some adult language and situations (all good...no blushing), it is a book well worth reading. It's a county fair and very welcomed distractions include horse shows, 4-H memories, and all the entertaining trappings, but murder, too? Annette has created an intriguing murder mystery with overheard threats, one tragic death, and another gruesome discovery, and the search for answers is treated realistically with intelligent characters using official and unofficial skills, dead ends, misdirection, and a nail-biting ending. This is the eighth book, so obviously much has transpired in experiences and character growth; newbies may feel overwhelmed...but, don't overlook starting here. You will be totally hooked!

FAIR GAME by Annette Dashofy
Visiting the fairgrounds with Zoe and friends was a delight! I’ve never seen a school bus demolition derby, but now I feel as if I have, along with the horse shows, 4H contests, and midway games and rides I have enjoyed IRL. Pete is such a perfect partner, concerned for Zoe, who promises to stay out of trouble, but who cares so much for so many others that . . . well, did we really expect her to keep that promise? The mysteries are compelling and delightfully twisty, the relationships are tricky and heart-warming (and breaking), and the writing flows beautifully. Fair warning, FAIR GAME pushed all distractions aside and took the main stage. I did have to take a break to sleep, but less than 24 hours from downloading it, I arrived at the most satisfying conclusion. This is #8 in the series, and like a greedy child in the food court, I’m already wanting to know . . . when is the next one?

Paramedic and deputy coroner Zoe Chambers is spending a week at the Monongahela County Fair showing her horse Windstar and manning the ambulance. Zoe sees old friends, rivals and mentors from her 4-H days. Meanwhile, Vera Palmer is found dead the next day after she went missing from a girls' night out at the diner. Vance County Police Chief Pete Adams has to figure out what Vera did during her final hours. Then Pete joins Zoe for an evening at the fairgrounds where the annual school bus demolition derby concludes with the gruesome discovery of a dead body. The victim is Cody DeRosa, a former 4-H in town to judge various horse show events. Are Vera and Cody's deaths linked?
This was a good read with well-developed characters and plenty of suspects.

What a great setting for a cozy mystery! I felt like I was right there at the Monongahela County Fair in Pennsylvania. The author brings us all the sights, sounds and smells with great descriptions.

Zoe Chambers definitely put both her paramedic and deputy coroner skills to use during fair week. She also is at the fair with her cousin Patsy and they both show their horses.

When 2 murders occur Zoe and her boyfriend Police Chief Pete Adams go into high gear to solve them.

There were lots of characters, suspects, and other small back stories that added to the suspenseful twists and turns. I didn't guess the suspect until the end.

There were many fair events that added to the books enjoyment such as 4H horse shows, tractor pulls and school bus demolitions.

A first place, blue ribbon winner of a cozy mystery that readers will enjoy! You will be glad you visited the fair!

I became an Annette Dashofy fan after reading Cry Wolf (Zoe Chambers Mysteries #7). Zoe Chambers is a fun heroine. In this installment Zoe is at the Monongahela County Fairgrounds hanging around the 4-Hers and their animals. I enjoyed this setting since I was in 4-H when I was young! Zoe has the chance to get reacquainted with people from her 4-H days while she and her EMS partner, Earl Kolter, are on county fair duty. Meanwhile, in Vance Township, Zoe's police chief boyfriend Pete Adams is busy trying to solve a murder. Dashofy did a good job of weaving this story together and wrapping every thing up at the end. There are some surprises along the way and I am ready for (Zoe Chambers Mysteries #9) Under the Radar.

This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Each book is very well written with a wonderful plot and great characters. In the latest installment Zoe is at the County Fair to show her horse and is also working there as a paramedic with her partner Earl. Zoe was in 4-H when she was younger and is reunited with many people from her past including the 4-H leader that encouraged her love of horses and helper her become the horsewoman that she is now. There are a few mysteries in the story that Pete is working on and Zoe is trying to keep things together at the fair ground. The mysteries always keep me guessing, but I also love the characters. This series gets better with each book.

As always, Annette Dashofy hits is out of the park in this latest book in the Zoe Chambers series. I only had one small issue, and that was with the sudden shifts in scenes. Sometimes they were so abrupt it took me a second to realize where we were and which characters were the focus. Maybe it was the formatting of an e-book, but usually there’s at least a physical space to denote a change in scene. Regardless, it was an action-packed story full of twists. And you can’t talk about this series without mentioning the brilliant job Annette does with her characters - characters so wonderful and real, you feel like you could be best friends with them.

As always with my reviews of Annette Dashofy’s books, I will tell you up front she is a friend.

This entry is as strong and engaging as the others. The setting of much of the action – a county fair – is fresh and the overall rural setting of the series is a great change of venue from the big city home of most books.

Annette again provides plenty of twists and turns as Zoe and Pete chase down the killers of a well-loved woman and obnoxious man. Zoe and Pete take another step forward in their relationship, too, which is much more realistic than the rocket-launch pace of many stories.

There are two more books in this series I’m anxious to read. And I hope many more after that.

Another very well written Zoe Chambers novel from Annette Dashofy! Recurring characters continue to develop and new characters are well written and rounded out. The mystery was very good. I wasn't able to figure out whodunit until the reveal which is pretty unusual for me. And there is quite a surprise at the end. My only criticism is that I thought there was a little too much detail on horse showmanship. It's just not my cuppa tea. All in all, a great read and I'm very anxious to where Zoe and Pete go from here. Well done!

This is the first book I read in this series and I'm very happy I requested this ARC because it's a very good book.
The plot is fast paced, full of twists and turns, the cast of characters is well written and fleshed out.
I think this book it's a bit darker and the language is stronger than the average cozy mystery.
I look forward to reading other books in this series.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to Henery Press and Edelweiss for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Annette Dashofy's books never disappoint. This most recent of the Zoe Chambers mysteries has a little bit of everything to keep the reader glued to the book: bad guys, good guys, murders, romance, and good old-fashioned detective work. Fair Game, like Annette's other books, is filled with love--that special kind of love we share with friends. "Family isn't about blood, you know. It's about heart."
