While this episode focuses on Kat's further training/apprenticeship as a Watcher, the story begins to move in a darker direction. Additionally, the relationship between master and apprentice begins to solidify into firmer partnership. Once again Jon Cronshaw provides a very entertaining story. If you are a Ravenglass Chronicles reader, this episode will have you thirsting for what's next. I received an Advance Reader Copy and chose to provide this review.
Our MC needs to hone her skills in order to become the Guardian they are hoping her to be. The hermit card speaks to her budding growth and hopefully more self assurance and confidence. Exposure to more ugly truths about the world she lives in. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
*3.5 stars* Was good! I’m sure I’ve said this before but this series is good to pick up and put down when needed. It is easy to stop and read something else and then come back to the next book in this series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Soo I finally did some research and figured out why the books titles are what they are…. Only took me half the series haha. The titles are based on tarot cards and their meaning. Which makes more sense. I personally was not familiar with tarot cards which made understanding the titles a bit more difficult. Kat now had her first mission and she is being exposed to the cruel outside world that she has never been aware of. Although a very dark series in my opinion the series I feel is finally taking shape.
Kat is determined to prove herself as a watcher but something unusual is happening. They find out what has happened to their friend Max and the two children and who is the cause. Lots of unpredictable moments and they need to leave to report what is taking place. Another great story in the series.
