After getting back from London, Recker and the team are immediately swept up in Vincent and Nowak's feud again. Though they initially refuse in getting involved, their minds are changed when they start getting ambushed. Recker is ambushed in an alley while trying to prevent a jewelry store heist, Haley has his car blown up in trying to track down the suspects, and Tyrell's relationship with Recker is found out, leaving him in a vulnerable position. The team learns it's all part of Nowak's plan to rid the city of all of them, leading them into an eventual final confrontation with her. One that will be deadly.

Can't really say that everyone here was a good person but the nastiest got their just rewards. Screw with The Silencer and you get to assume room temperature very quickly. MS Nowak thought she could just take whatever she wanted, even thought she could buy someone's alliance. But money just doesn't do much for those whose integrity has such a high value.
This story illustrates that creativity sometimes trumps brute force. You can pump tons of lead into an opposing force but if you're not hitting anything then it's useless effort. Chris Haley realized this when everything else was yielding zero results.
Plenty of creative ways to write a thriller and Author Ryan seems to have them!
This series continues to be a great read through and through and the character development and interaction between the Silencer team and their supporting cast which makes it an easy read. It was inevitable that there would be a showdown between the rival crime syndicates in the city of Philadelphia and one of them went too far by getting in the crosshairs of the Silencer team. As I mentioned before, that never ends well. Recommended.
A good book that was enjoyable. Also, a BIG rebound after what I thought was a disappointing book 9, which I gave only 2.5 ⭐'s. Back to what make the series good - humor, good story line, and lots of killings.
Another good read from Mike Ryan, this time needing to deal with some unwanted attention from Nowack. The Silencer team having to join forces with Malloy
