Bad Creed #1

Bad Apple

Rate this book
Senior year is supposed to be the time of your life. Keyword: Supposed.

But I’ve just been shipped off to a new school. Sentenced to hard time deep in the heart of Hicktown, USA.
I left everything behind—my friends, my girl, my band, my ambitions.
Besides graduating, I thought there was nothing left to strive for.

Then, I meet her...
Pretty. Preppy. Popular. Basic.
Most importantly, daughter of the enemy.

And now I have a new vision...
Rip away her crown.
Knock her off her pedestal.
Wear her down until she’s stripped bare.
She has no idea what’s coming for her.

They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and the Creed family tree is full of bad apples.
But me?
I’m the most rotten of them all.

Note: This is a full-length novel that ends on a cliffhanger. Book two will be releasing before the end of the year, and can be pre-ordered at the release of Book One.

This series deals with subjects that may be uncomfortable for some. This duet in particular contains flawed characters that may be hard to swallow. In other words, if you are a safety reader, or have disliked “Bully” stories with crude anti-heroes in the past, this may not be the book for you.

Gemini has a passion for all things romance-related.
Particularly... angst-charged, forbidden, slow-burn romance.
Bad boys are her thing!!! Along with tattoos, motorcycles, sexy southern hard-working gentlemen... who are mixed with some hidden vulnerability and alpha-hotness, of course.
She has a desire for her heroines to be uniquely themselves. Her favorite part about writing romance, is creating the journey her characters endure while falling in love.

She's a southern gal through and through. Born and raised in Western North Carolina, not far from a little university known as WCU. She is the mom of two perfectly imperfect children, and wife to a husband who sometimes counts as a third child.

She has been reading romance for much longer than she should be able to admit, stealing books from her Mom's book collection at an early age, and returning them unnoticed. While romance is her favorite genre to write, she also dabbles in some poetry for her own form of therapy and self-expression. When she was in 3rd grade, she entered a poetry contest between all the kids 3rd - 8th grade in 4 different schools, and won! She was named Queen of the parade in her small-town.

When she isn't reading, writing, or editing, she can be found enjoying time with family which typically includes whipping up something delicious to eat.

*This review is going to be on the short side due to a hand injury and me typing with one finger. 🙈*

Lured in by a blurb promising one of my favorite tropes, I went into Bad Apple with high hopes. It was my first read by Gemini Jensen, and thankfully, I wasn't disappointed! New adult bully romance is one of my favorite subgenres, so finding a new author to provide me with my drug of choice made this angst whore happy af.

The author's writing gripped me right away, and the hero had me from his first rude introduction. Ransom Creed is a gigantic asshole which is obviously a big part of why I like him so much. I wasn't able to see why the heroine, True St. Clair, did at first though, and it made me worry a little bit about whether I would enjoy their story or not. That wound up being all for nothing, because after a while, I started to feel their connection and undeniable chemistry. One intimate scene in particular almost brought a tear to my eye (which usually doesn't happen in those kind of scenes for me.) Lol

Ransom and True's story is a slow burn. If you hate that type of romance, you may want to bypass this one. However, I'm not much for slow burns myself, and I still enjoyed it. I can deal if I'm invested enough in the characters, and that was definitely the case was here.

I recommend Bad Apple to fans of bully romance with a dash of mystery, angst, asshole heroes, and slow burns!

What an awesome enemies to lovers, bully romance!

Gemini Jensen is a new to me author but I’ve been inhaling all bully romances recently and this blurb hooked me!

Creed, Creed, Creed. What an asshole. I loved him! 😂 I have a problem, I know!

True, I had a harder time connecting to, especially for the first bit of the book. As the book went on and I started to see the chemistry that True and Creed had, I started to connect more to her. A love to hate, push and pull that I just couldn’t get enough of. Beware, there is a cliffhanger!

If you love a good bully romance then check out Bad Apple.

I was so excited when Gemini slid into my DM asking me if I wanted an ARC of this. There’s so much to say about this book, but I’ll let you read it for for self. I LOVED it. The chemistry, the suspense of not knowing what’s going to happen at the end., and the push and pull between True and Ransom. More than once she snatched my wig. Not only did I fall in love with True and Ransom, I fell in love with all the side characters too. Well done Gemini, I can’t wait until the second one.

4.5 stars from with with this book that left me wanting so much more with a bit of a HUGE twist at the end! Even after reading the blurb, I am not sure if I was completely ready for the punch that this book packs. Ransom Creed is the definition of a "bad apple".... or is he?

Jensen creates an interesting story that hooked me from the very first page. There was never a dull moment for me in finding out what came next for True and Ransom. There are definitely a few times that my jaw dropped, not expecting them to happen.

All in all, if you like bully NA romances and don't mind a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of the book, check this out ASAP! I haven't read Jensen before, but you better believe I will be! <3

PS: Thank you to Gemini Jensen and Give Me Books for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!

❝ Your dreams are at your fingertips. ❞
I’m a HUGE bully romance fan so of course, when I saw the blurb for Bad Apple the first book in the new Bad Creed Series, by Gemini Jensen I was immediately interested. True and Ransom, I mean come on?! Even their unique names drew me in! Jensen is a new to me author so to say I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this one would be an understatement. Looking for a high school bully romance full of conflict, angst, passion, and hate?! Well then you have come to the right place, Bad Apple has it all.

True St. Clair is the typical popular girl of Warren High. Queen of the school, captain of the cheerleading team, envied by all, dating the Ken to her Barbie, and the Sheriff’s goodie two shoe daughter.

But when the “Bad Apple” shows up, everything changes.
❝ They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, but in this case, the entire tree was full of bad apples. ❞
Ransom Creed is the epitome of a “bad apple” . The total bad-boy package with the tattoo’s, piercings, and a tongue so sharp that he can cut you down with it in a heartbeat. After being shipped off from Nashville to the middle of nowhere land with his Gran and his cousins. Although Ransom isn’t well known around town just yet, his family is. The Creed’s have made a name for themselves and people know to stay the hell out of their way.

Unbeknownst to True, Ransom has it out for her. She’s the daughter of the enemy and he hates every single thing that she and her family stands for. So Ransom makes it his personal vendetta to make a mockery out of her. Knocking her off that pedestal that she’s been placed on top of for so long.

❝ Ransom freaking Creed. Bully; tyrant: enemy: where good girls go to die: and my eventual downfall… ❞
True has no idea why Ransom hates her from the very start. There is a familiarity to him when she looks in his eyes but the animosity, she has no idea where that comes from.

There has to be more then meets the eye here but is True really ready to find out?

The more time Ransom spends around the Princess, the more he sees that she’s not the girl he thought she was. But he has a duty to his family to make the St. Clair’s pay for what happened to his Dad and his Uncle.

Can he just forget all about the history between his family and her’s?

You guys, I have to be honest here. At first, I really wasn’t sure I was going to like this one. It started off pretty slow and was kind of just your typical bully romance, besides that this time around it’s the poor kid picking on the rich kid not the other way around like it so often is in bully romances these days. BUT then all of a sudden, I was stuck. I could not put it down! Every interaction between True and Ransom was so unpredictable that it kept me flipping pages to find out if this was THE encounter that would change the entire dynamic between them. I wanted to know why he hated her family name so much, what happened to his Dad, why the Sheriff had it out for his family? WHY, WHY, WHY?!

Now, although I really enjoyed this book it took me a little bit to figure out where exactly the story was going. The storyline is a little all over the place. There is just sooo much going on that sometimes I was a little confused on which and whose story I was reading. It seems as if the author had a few different storylines in her head and just decided to go ahead and put them all in one book. Which is fine since she is planning on a Creed family series, I understand character introductions and all that needs to be made. But I’m hoping with book two, things are a little clearer.

The secondary characters made this book so much MORE for me! Especially Ransom’s family. Their dynamics aren’t the norm for sure and I loved it, and them! Maverick, Slade, Huxley, and even Indie are fabulous characters that are way MORE than just secondary characters so I’m really happy to hear that there are more books coming in this series. I can already tell I won’t be ready to say goodbye to the Creed family after the second part of this book.
❝ I’m their trophy. Their accessory. Essentially, I’m their Stepford Daughter. And I loathe every minute of it. Every day I live is a lie. ❞
I wasn’t really sure about True in the beginning, she seemed like the kind of “I’m better than you” type of girl I wouldn’t like. But then, the real TRUE came out and you realized that all we really knew about her until then was the surface stuff. The stuff that her parents and everyone else expected her to be. Not the real True. The real True is a kick-ass chick that’s hard NOT to like. When she did what she did for Huxley, I knew then she was a friend I would love to have. Which is exactly the kinds of heroines I like to read about.
❝ That’s right, Princess. Sing for me. ❞

Ransom Fucking Creed, my oh my that boy! The fighting, the smirk, the cockiness. He is a bad boy through and through! Half the time you want to punch him in the face and the other half when he opens up and shows those sweet little parts of him like when he went to run that bath for her… *SIGH* Yea the other half you can’t help but see him for who he really is and fall a little more in love with the guy.
❝ Our connection is as strong as nature. It’s an unavoidable undertow, a pulsing energy that pulls me right back in no matter how hard he pushes me away. Impossible to ignore and hopeless to avoid. ❞

The chemistry, the animosity, the push and pull between Ransom and True. I mean how can you not get sucked into the hate/hate dynamic they have going on?! The steam didn’t completely pick up until around chapter nineteen but there were a lot of “little steams” along the way if ya catch my drift, that made it all worth the wait! 😉🔥

Just when you think you have it all figured it, be prepared to be knocked back on your ass! There’s another twist that I never saw coming. I can NOT wait to see where this story is going because that cliffhanger, it just changed up the ENTIRE book and I NEED to know what happens next with Ransom and True in Bad Things like I NEED my next breath!

❝ I’ll be waiting, Bad Apple. ❞
Like I said this is my first Gemini Jensen book but I am really looking forward to checking out more of her work! If you are a YA/NA, bully romance fan than I most definitely recommend checking out Bad Apple.

**** *** *** **** *** *** ***

ℂ𝕠𝕟𝕗𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕆𝕗 𝔸 𝔹𝕚𝕓𝕝𝕚𝕠𝕡𝕙𝕚𝕝𝕖’𝕤 𝕆𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕝𝕝 ℝ𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bad Apples is an excellent bully romance! I WISH I could have given it 5-stars but the general all overness of the plotline affected my rating. As well as how long it took for things to start picking up (around chapter 18-19) but once the story picked up, it took off! I most definitely recommend to YA/NA, bully romance readers!

🔥🔥🔥 Again, it took quite a while for the FULL ON steam (chapter 19) but there were quite a few “little steam” scenes along the way that were SPICY and INTENSE! There are only a couple FULL steamy scenes but they are HOT… especially the second one! 😍

🌪🌪🌪 Cliffhanger Warning: There is most definitely a cliffhanger! Now it’s not a HUGE drop off of a cliffhanger, but it will still have you pissed off that it ended there and ready to get the second book into your hands immediately to find out what happens next!

Note: An ARC was given by the author in exchange for an honest review.

So.

The writing -Confusing as heck. Too many plot lines going on and surprisingly this isn’t a series, as I’m just left with too many characters to remember and have an account of. The main hero and heroine are just lost somewhere in this cluster of plot lines.

The cover -Delicious. That’s all.

The summary- Typical bully romance summary. Was I expecting anything? Nope. So it was okay.

The romance -Can’t tell, barely at 22% when I DNFed.

The personalities -Typical as well. There’s nothing relatable to them, just something you would expect. The emotions are hard to guess, it’s like a switch with them, you can’t tell what emotion they are feeling and when and for what. Lost. Completely and utterly lost.

So not a high recommend as it has confused me beyond point to give it a convincing high rating.

So yeah, not one for the books.

Until the next page,

Review by Jen Skewes

Gemini Jensen is a new to me author. When I read the blurb for Bad Apple I knew that I needed to read this one. An enemies to lover/bully romance is one of my favorites books to read. The best part is knowing how much you should be hating the hero, but the author does such an amazing job and you end of loving him no matter how bad he is. And Gemini Jensen did just that. Bad Apple is the story of the good girl cheerleader and the bad boy, bully alpha male who are enemies from the very beginning.

True is starting her final year of high school. She is a cheerleader who people look up to. Always feeling the pressure to be perfect, both from her family as well as her peers. She has the perfect boyfriend, a great best friend, and looking forward to her final year of high school. Until the tattooed bad boy name Ransom Creed walks into her class. The creed family is known in her town as the family who causes trouble. True has dealt with the three Creed siblings at high school, but Ransom showing up in her class was completely unexpected. He is one of their cousins and has just moved to her town. He hates her and seems to have some vendetta against her, but she had no idea why. Based on the way he treats her and bullies her, she should hate him, she should be running from him and by no means should she find him attractive. But regardless of how much of a jerk he is, she cannot deny how hot he is. Will she find out why he hates her? Will the growing tension between the two of them finally come to a head? And when it does, what will happen next?

I really loved this book. True is the typical cheerleader who people look up to, girls want to be like her, and she just seems perfect. When first meeting her I was a little unsure of her, but you soon see that there is so much more to her. I honestly felt bad for her, knowing how much pressure she was under, how much her parents expected of her and to deal with this bully at the same time. I loved her character, her ability to not back down.

Ransom was a complete jerk, but I loved him. He has not had an easy life and he is just angry, and you can understand why given his family life, losing his dad and his mother being the way she is. But deep down I think there is so much more to him under all of the anger and bitterness.

There was this push and pull between Ransom and True that I loved. Ransom pretending, he doesn’t care yet will do anything to piss True. The tension between them just kept building and building and I wanted for that moment when it would finally explode. And when it did I loved it!!! I waited for that moment and when it came it was perfection!!!

Bad Apple is filled with angst, a bit of suspense, a bad boy hero who is both dark and angry, chemistry that is off the charts and a storyline that had me from the very beginning. The writing was fantastic. I will warn you that this does end in a cliffhanger. There is still so much more story to tell and I cannot wait to see what happens.

From the first page, I was hooked. Bad Apple was such an exhilarating book. There was so much heat, hate, and passion. This book had me gripping the edge of my seat, while waiting with anticipation of what was going to unfold. Every interaction between True and Ransom was unpredictable and real.

This book was nothing like I expected—in a great way.

True is a senior that has everything. She’s the head captain of the cheer team, daughter of the Sheriff, envied by all her classmates, and dating Mr. Popular. Everything she has is put to the test as a new student joins her class.

Enter the “Bad Apple” himself…

Ransom is the epitome of bad boy with his dark appearance, piercings, tattoos, icy glare, and quick tongue. He was ripped away from his life, his friends, and band. After being shipped off to a small town, he decided to set his sights on knocking down True. After all, she is the daughter of his enemy and he has a family name to honor.

Jensen did a wonderful job at describing everything. Her writing has the ability to put you right there, in the characters shoes. My absolute favorite descriptive part was about Ransom’s eyes. “...eyes the color of deeply frosted grass—like the first frost of the year just touched down, the pale green barely peeking out from beneath the thick, icy layer as it catches the glint of the early morning sun.” Jensen’s attention to detail is enthralling.

The ending of this book will keep you on your toes and jaw to the floor. The cliffhanger had me ready to dive right into the next book.

Thank you, Gemini, for the chance to read this treasure!

✨ DREAMY’S REVIEW ✨

If you’re into twisty, enemies to lovers bully romances with a dash of suspense, Bad Apple by Gemini Jensen is FOR YOU!

Jensen held my attention through and through with Ransom and True’s story. They held me interest with their many layers and I enjoyed their growth throughout the book!

And can I just mention how much I enjoyed the secondary characters? LOVED.

I cannot deny, I FLOVE assholes! My obsession is so real!! So Ransom Creed was right up my alley! He was one of the biggest reasons why I couldn’t get to the next page enough! There’s just something about him that I could not stop loving!

Even though I couldn’t exactly see True and Creed’s chemistry at first, Jensen was able to tell their story and I couldn’t help but fall in love with them!! Truth be told, True is lucky ;)

There is a cliffhanger at the end that left me with my jaw dropped! So if you’re into delayed gratification and bully romances are your jam, pick up this book right now! It will surely not disappoint!

Gemini this book is everything a girl could dream of in a bully romance. Ransom and True's story is one true heartbreak for high school kids. Bully is always been a real issue in school, but usually it is the popular kids bulling the other kids. In Bad Apple the roles are reveres all because of family history that was passed down to the children but never told 100% of the facts and just assumed the other party knew the history of it. Ransom holds so much animosity towards True's family and herself that she has no clue her dad had any part in. Where it ends has me crying for the next book to be out today so i can pickup where it left off.

Gemini I love this book and I am on pins and needles waiting for the next one to come out to see what happens!

New Adult, Contemporary Romance, High School Bully

First Person, dual-POV

Book #1 of the Bad Apple duet, beginning of the Bad Creed Series

Dethrone the princess. Rip that cushy pedestal from beneath her toned little ass and ensure when she falls, it's hard enough for her to break something.

by Ramson

Addictiveness: 5/5  This book hooked me from the beginning until the end. it kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would come next.  As addictive as chocolate!!!

Character: hero 5/5, heroine 4.5/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 5/5, real 5/5 Characters were multidimensional, with interest layers to them. They have shown personal growth throughout the story and they were easy to connect and understand.

Ransom was bad. He has had a tough life and has been holding a grudge for a long time. At the same time, even though being a bad boy, Ransom truly loved his family and made everything for them. Life has made him tough, but family has kept him grounded and with lots of redeemable qualities. He has shown personal growth and I'm expecting for him to becoming an even better version of himself on the next book.

True was good. Even though she was never completely herself because she was a consequence of her upbringing, True was aware of her faults and was searching for a way out of the place she was stuck on. She was sweet, caring, loyal and trying to fit in. I'm certain she will becoming something amazing on the second part of the duet.

So many interesting characters... I love all the Creeds and their friends. I also like True's best friend and would love to read their stories.

Villains… maybe one has been created by the end of the book, but mostly the conflict in this book is between the main characters and a past that they weren't even part of.

All characters were easy to love, connect and understand.

Cover: art 4.5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5  I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. I love how this cover has being made for this particular story. We can see Ransom at the cover with his cigarette and beanie hat, even though I've missed the piercing and gauges. I like the colors and font used here. The title is perfect for the story and very meaningful. I would easily buy this book by its cover, without needing to read the blurb!

Freshness: 4/5 This was a bully romance with an original concept. It didn't feel like all of the others out there, even though it didn't bring anything exceptionally out-of-the-box. As fresh as ice cream.

Plot: believable 5/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 3/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 4/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 4/5, twists 5/5  Good opening and cliffhanger at the end. I love the conflict and how it was explored. I think the subplots were well created and they have added something special to the story. I wasn't expecting all the twists and turns this story hand and was pleasantly surprised. The pace was great and kept me at the edge of my seat. Very high level of enjoyment!

Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 4/5  I loved it. Not only their chemistry and attraction were believable but their hate/love relationship was well developed. The author created an amazing background for the characters and the smut was hot. Passionate love!!!

Writing Style: 5/5 Crafty writing! Amazing plot with incredible characters. Believable romance with mouth-watering steamy scenes. Clean, cohesive writing without any major loopholes. Interesting cliffhanger that kept me curious for what comes next!

I don't really know. I have truly enjoyed the story and would have read the second book right now, if it was already out.

If I have to be really picky I must say I was a bit confused with True's reasoning for her relationship and her impassivity towards her life.

The author was very crafty writing this book. She didn't created crazy conflicts leaving the bullying as simple as a family hate. She managed to keep the story interesting by creating well written subplots and by offering unexpected twists to the story.

I can't wait to read the second part of the duet!

32.5/35 STARS –  4.5 STARS (between 31.5 stars and 33 stars)

Addictiveness: 5 Character: 4.5 Cover: 4.5 Freshness: 4  Plot: 4.5 Romance: 5 Writing Style: 5

Action 3.5/5

Angst 2/5

Darkness 0/5

Humor 1/5

Romance 5/5

Suspense/Mystery 3/5

Would I recommend? Sure. If you like high school bully romance, this is a great option.

Would I re-read this book/series? Yes. I'm certain I will be rereading this book as soon as the second one comes out.

Would I read more from the author? Yes. In fact, I'm really looking forward to.

You may read this because you like the bully romance; you SHOULD read this because you enjoy easy to love characters; you MUST read this for an amazingly constructed plot!!!

This is my first Gemini Jensen book! The cover.... I mean the blurb got me hooked! 😂 I’m lying y’all she definitely had me hooked on “this duet contains flawed characters that may be hard to swallow” .... i mean now i wana read it even more!

Oooo Ransom is such a douche but I’m totally digging it! True and Ransom are like fire and ice and get along even worse. The back and forth is definitely entertaining and even though he hates her there is definitely some attraction going on there!

This book definitely had me hooked from the beginning! True and Ransom was the definition of crazy with a side of hotness 😂 there was never a dull moment while reading trying to figure out what came next between these two!

OMG get ready for the twist at the end! Holy hell I cannot wait for more! This was seriously good! I loved it and it’s a definite 5⭐️ read for me!

Holy Freakin' Cliffy Y’all!! So this book is so BADD ASS!! That is the main characters are BA’s themselves! I am still trying to wrap my head around it and just totally not DIE of impatience while I wait for the next book, because of that cliffy. This book had so much mystery going on in it. There was LOTS going on. We did find out a couple of little nuggets at the end, but I feel like Gemeni has barely scratched the surface for all that's going to be uncovered in book two. I will also warn that in my opinion this book was a very slow start. Then when it finally picked up speed it was balls to the wall.

So fair warning, you won't get many details from me. #SpoilersSuck! I will just try to convey how good this book was without actually telling you much. Like I said I feel like we got a lot of information but not a lot of information yet, if that makes sense?

Ransom Creed. The Alphahole you are gonna love to heat. Handsome Ransom. This guy is total bay boy. The boy that inspires ladies naughty dreams and daddies nightmares. Hes moody and broody. He has recently relocated to his new home from Nashville and he is not happy about it in the slightest.

“They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and the Creed family tree is full of bad apples. But me? I’m the most rotten of them all. “

From the first glance he had of True St. Clair, Princess Basic B*tch herself, he loathed her. It was decided, he would be her tormentor. He would break her and ruin her and leave her in a puddle of nothing.

True St. Clair was perfection from those on the outside looking in. She was beautiful, popular, captain of the cheer squad ,girlfriend of the starting QB, loving devoted parents. I felt so bad for her because no one knew the struggles she was really going through. Then, enter Ransom Creed. She doesn’t know when it was she ran over this guys puppy ,she certainly doesn’t remember doing so but... She just knew this guy hated her more than anyone she had ever met in her life. A loud, wet fart during the pre-offering prayer at church would be more welcome than she was anywhere near him
.Now he was viciously mean and cruel as could be to her, but she still couldn't help her growing attraction and fascination towards him.

“It’s almost as if we’ve been playing some warped game of dodgeball…Ransom being the ball—really more of a ticking time bomb to be exact—and me staying as far away as I can get.”
She suspected he was feeling the same and it accounted for some of the hatred. GAH! The push and pull between these two. They had sexual tension for dayss!! I loved watching the way the dynamic of their love/hatred was changing throughout the entire book.

“I sold my soul to the devil for one night. No—two. For two nights.”
I cannot wait to see what happens in the next one. HURRY UP!!!!

My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
⭐⭐️⭐⭐️- I am looking forward to the next book. I just have to know what happens. This book was bully romance magic and and definitely a departure from the typical bully romance.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥- Panty Chucker! SAY NO TO DRAWERS! Cause dis book is Hotter than biscuits and gravy, Y’all!! NO LIE! Hot Daaammnnn!!

Bad Apple is the first book in an all new duet by Gemini Jensen. A new author to me, this book caught my attention from the cover and the blurb alone. Classified as a bully romance this book was pleasantly surprising and enjoyable to read.

Jensen has created quite the lead characters for this story. Two very different characters but they are so perfect for one another…even if they don’t want to admit it. Their chemistry is off the charts!!!
Ransom Creed is the ultimate bad boy to the core, and he’s got everything a bad boy should have going for him: Hot Body, Tattoos for days, Lip Piercing, Fighter, Rocker, and let’s not forget a complete a**hole. He’s also got the need for revenge running through his veins.

True St. Clair is the all-American girl stuck in a small town. She’s the daughter of the local sheriff, great student and captain of the cheerleading team. Raised to be prim and proper by parents who are more concerned with appearances, True feel trapped and isolated.

When Ransom finds himself uprooted from his life in Nashville and living in the small country town his dad grew up in, he’s set with one goal in mind… getting his revenge on the St. Clair family. Now attending Warren High with True, he makes it his personal mission to torment her at every turn. However, what he doesn’t anticipate is True and her strong spirit, that will not break easily.
I really liked this book. I felt the characters were interesting and had depth to them. The storyline kept my attention. It surprisingly had quite a bit of suspense which had me guessing throughout the story as to what was to come next… and that ending!!!!

This is a book worth checking out! I am impatiently waiting for book 2!!! Cannot wait for the conclusion to Ransom and True’s story!

Wow! This book is so, so good! This is part one in the Bad Creed duet and wow what a way to start! The book is told from True and Ransom’s POV. True St. Clair is the current Queen Bee at her school, popular, head cheerleader, dating the football teams captain and what’s more she’s actually nice, yes a queen bee who is nice to her peers. But on the first day she runs into Ransom Creed, the schools new bad boy. He instantly dislikes True, no sorry instantly hates True.
True has no idea what she’s done or why he despises her so much.
It’s true that the Creed family and the St. Clair family have a lot of bad blood between them but even so considering Ransom has only just met her he shouldn’t hate her as much as he does.
Ransom goes out of his way to torment True. And the things he does to her will have you really disliking him. But the chemistry between them is off the chart. Even when they supposedly hate each other you can feel it simmering away beneath the surface.
They shouldn’t want each other, True should want her boyfriend and yet she can’t stop thinking about the boy who torments her.
And as for Ransom he has his reasons for not liking True. Reasons only he knows but in his mind there valid reasons for hating her. And yet he can’t seem to stop thinking about her. And no matter how much he tells himself he hates her and he’s not attracted to her at all she still consumes his thoughts.
The book ends on a cliffhanger and it’ll definitely have you itching for the next book to hurry up and come out! I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Hes been conditioned to hate everything about her. From her looks to her personality to who she truly is.

She doesnt understand his hatred, his determination to bring her down from the pedestal her peers placed her upon.

Is there more to this than meets the eye..?

What an utterly amazing read that reminded me why I love the bully trope.

So much passion and anger, conflict and desire amidst violence and controlled behaviour to thrill you like it did me!

Ransom so highly strung and volatile, Dark and angry. Oh such a delicious bad boy!

True's the girl who reveals so much, when she says nothing at all. Her words hide her honesty yet no one sees this.

Two characters who have endured so much, bring to the table not who they are, but who the actions of others have made them.

I've not read Gemini Jensen before and this book has certainly been a fantastic introduction to her.

I'm left wanting more of the drama and angst of True and Ransom. More of her words and most certainly more of her books!

First Gemini Jensen book and wow! This one blew me away. I am a super bully romance fan, when I heard about this book I knew I had to have it.

I can honestly say Creed has to be the biggest Alphahole Bully I've ever read in a book. This guy takes A**hole to the extreme. But I absolutely loved every second of it. The little soft moments here and there we got glimpses of were my absolute favorite parts of the book.

Then we have True, which I'm not going to lie I was not a fan of at the beginning of the book. But she grew on me as the book went on. I left as if she became more relatable.

If you are looking for a Hight School Bully Romance this is the book for you! I highly recommend this one you wont be disappointed in it. Bad Apple checked everything I look for in these type of books off my list.

Warning this book does leave you with a cliffy!!

I love a good Bully Romance and this book was everything and more!! I can't even figure out where to start with this review!! I will say I did expect the same thing like most books, but I mean I was wrong. So very wrong!! Gemini took characters and made you fall in love with them! I mean I actually fell for these two! I wanted everything to go right for them... when their hearts broke, mine broke! I can't wait to read more!

I was so lucky to receive an arc of Bad Apple! I loved the excerpt and thought it had a ton of potential. I love the bully romance genre! I was hooked right from the beginning and couldn’t wait to see where it would lead. It’s different from any bully romance I’ve read before. The two main characters have amazing chemistry and I love many of the side characters as well! It starts off slow, setting the scene, but it’s captivating and as the book goes on more and more is revealed. Yes it ends in a cliffhanger and oh man it is quite the cliffhanger! I can not wait for the next book to come out! I have so many questions and thoughts running through my mind wondering what is going to happen and how is everything going to work out?!?! Thank you so much for the arc Gemini! I absolutely loved it! Can’t wait for more!

I don't usually read books that end in a cliff hanger until the second book is out - mainly because I'm way too impatient!! This time I decided to. Yes it ends in a cliffhanger but not one that leaves you angry with the author!!
Bad Apple is a fabulous story!! It is a 'bully' romance but it also has some very sweet parts to it. Ransom really is just a kind person but hides it well. And when his kindness appears? It has you wanting him to behave like this all the time!!
True is strong and can handle all that Ransom says and does to her. I love her!! Personally I think she is enjoying it as she can push back and not hide her personality unlike she does with her parents.
Just amazing!! I can not wait for book 2 - is it ready yet?!!!

Holy craziness! I need the rest now!!! This book ended on a total cliffhanger! And I need to know what happens next. The start was a bit slow because there is a bit of back story to come with it. But totally worth it! Ransom and True are fire fire fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥..... they sizzle right off the page! The hate that comes off Ransom is so strongly felt, but we all know its a very thin line between love and hate. And I am thinking that we have only scratched the surface of what made this rivalry come about in the first place... we have bits and pieces but I feel like the is going the a HUGE bomb dropped and it is going to desecrate everyone in its vicinity!

I don’t know the last time I was this confused leaving a book.
This is a romance.... kind of. Somewhere. Maybe?
Honestly, I’m not really sure. It seems like one is developing, SLOWLYYYYYY, but it really is taking its sweet time to do so.
I am very caught up in the story of True and Ransom, watching their characters develop into who they will eventually become.
I also need to solve the mystery, and continuously turned the pages, hoping to get my answers.
Anxiously awaiting the next!

What an introduction to the bully romance trope!! I have been nervous about reading any of the books of this type because I usually don't like the alphaholes that much. But I'm reading any and everything that Gemini Jensen writes, so I knew she would make this book great. And she delivered it spectacularly!!
I don't want to give anything away but you need to meet Ransom and True. I need the next book like yesterday and I can't wait for more about all of these characters.

DNF at 10%
Heroine is pretentious
First day meeting with badboy she's already blushing and facinated with badboy even though said badboy bullies her
Lastly heroine has a boyfriend, yet she's all over her bully 🙄

This was my first book by this author and it did not disappoint me. And will not be the last book either. The mixed emotions and mystery will have your head spinning at times. And other times you will want to smack Ransom and True. I really did not want to stop reading last night because this book had me so intrigued. I can not wait for the next one. Do not miss.
