Frustrating Leighton
Holt the ME is a socially awkward, highly distrustful kangaroo mouse shifter who takes one look at Leighton, who seems to like him, and knows he's being played. A man like that doesn't fall for the big-eared weirdo that spends more time with dead people than live ones.
Leighton, a harpy who has never done anything the easy way takes one look at the cutie with the oversized ears and evasive attitude, and feels something he's never felt before. But if he's going to get the cautious man to take him seriously, he's going to have to break down some walls.

Great series
What I truly Love about the series is each book focuses on one couple, yet so many people are involved and there is always another couple Who are struggling to figure out who they are to each other at the very end. The alligator shifter is a new one, but at the same time Jensen and Oakley has to find their way to each other. And the mystery continues, I write the dates down on my calendar when the new book is coming out so I do not miss it. The Author JD light keeps me going, with this series, training days and the chosen series

I loved this. Holt and Leighton were so cute together, especially when Holt was always so stoic towards him, and of course I loved all of the characters. I just love me some, Bennett. It was fun having Thompsyn and Bennett (from the "Chosen" series) back in the story again. They really had me laughing out loud. The plot was compelling, and the romance was adorable. I just can't get enough of this series. It always holds my attention and I find it very entertaining. Exceptional. =)

Wish these were longer
Holt was awesome as he ignored and otherwise irritated Leighton. I wish that we could have been able to see more of his actions as well as Leighton's antics as he tried to get noticed. Also, Bennet showing up on the island was just delightful and I sort of hope that Davis gets to cameo here as well at some point.

Cute and Funny.
I loved this book. It was cute and funny just like any other J. D. Light book. Leighton and Holt were fun to read and get to know. I loved the dynamic between the two. I love the interaction with all the other characters. I especially loved seeing Bennett and Thompsyn again. The laughs were non-stop. I can't wait for the next one.

Lovely read
This was a fun and lovely read.
I really loved Holt, he was amazing and his attitude and self-protection made for a fun read.
I really loved he connected with Leighton and how they fall for each other. The story around them was interesting, especially as the plot thickens

I love this books so much! The insta love is great and them soulmates makes them so much better! Holt & Leighton are super cute together, even though holt was so mean to lei at first lol! I love the connection between the characters & their friends as well! I just love this series so much! 😀😀❤️❤️

This story is awesome No It's disability made me kind of dad but I was so glad his mate helped him discover that they were mates. The serial killer is still on the loose but they seem to know what they're looking for now.

Brilliant
I loved this book so much especially when Thompsyn and Bennett visited. I forgot how funny and loveable the pair was. I just wish this book was longer as i felt it was cut short

I glared at Ridge. He'd blatantly ignored the cutting motion I'd been making the whole time he was telling that story. Holt did not need to know what he was going to be marrying into. I needed to charm the man into thinking we were a way better family and lock that down, before I let him see what a true mess we were. "
This book is the perfect example of how mates are perfect for each other. Holts demeanor would probably push away most people. It takes a personality like Leightons to take on that challenge and see beyond what he wants the world to see.

Damn, this one was cute! I adored Leighton's character from the previous books but him and his mate were so much fun!

Honestly, Leighton is the perfect example of the only kind of single father I can tolerate as a Hero in romance: has adult children born via surrogate with no sexual/romantic relationship with that person, and he never married.
