April 7, 2022This is one of those picture books that’s all about the illustrations—and it’s one children will happily look at for hours.
Each page has such detailed images, with details pointed out for kids to search through and find. It’s almost like Where’s Wally a hundred times over, with so many things to discover on each page. I would have LOVED this book growing up.
I do think the paperback version I read was a little bit too small to fully appreciate the illustrations. I don’t know what other editions there are, but I’m hoping some come available in a larger size, so children can fully appreciate all the details in the images, and have an easier time spotting all the things they are tasked with finding in the pictures.
However, this is a fun, very Australian picture book for kids of all ages.

È la storia, illustrata, di una vacanza vista dal punto di vista di tutti i membri di una famiglia. Un mondo in miniatura tutto da scoprire. Per lettori dall'inglese sufficiente e dall'occhio fino. Io personalmente l'ho scovato nella mia libreria e mi sono curata di farlo avere a uno dei bambini più astuti che conosco.

The wonderful, humorous illustrations really tell the story in this book. This authentic story of a family vacation from told from different family members' perspectives is sincere and funny.
