A man's journey through life is not easy, but the wounds do not tell the whole story. Healing, transformation, and significance can be yours when Jesus is the goal. In Be Strong, the author reveals his own transformation and the birth of an international ministry, Marked Men for Christ. This book will give men of faith the encouragement they need to overcome their past and their wounds to move forward in strength with Jesus at the center. The book also includes a 21-day devotional.
So I finally had a chance to download and read this book [Be Strong: The making of a marked man], yesterday/today. It's a terrific read through the story of the founding of Marked Men For Christ and personal journey of a Co-Founder / friend Steve Spice Spicer. A clear, concise and inspiring telling of the process of healing and responding in faith to the call to serve. Fun to remember the elements of this story, as I can say, I was there and witnessing this journey unfolding for the past 24 years. It’s real, the truth and is what it says it is. I’ve witnessed tremendous good. Healing and strengthening has been the fruit of the work in this ministry, in myself, and in the men who have taken the step into a Phase 1 MMFC experience to encounter and to be healed and strengthened in faith in Jesus. Encouraged and Strengthened by a Marked Man for Christ
Encouraging and uplifting read on the life of a man I admire and a ministry I greatly appreciate. Spice gives his best in being authentic about his story and journey in loving his wife and family and serving others especially God’s men. Explaining how wounds can hinder, our back story can explain, why we are the way we are but that Christs words and healing power can transform our pain so we do not transmit it and can live out a godly mission loving and serving others. Wow what a powerful read and story definitely a must for any Christian man and men who need healing or encouragement.
This was a great book and I highly recommend it to anyone who can get a copy. I really appreciated how vulnerable Steve is, because through his wounds it shed light into some dark parts in my life and allowed me to re concentrated some efforts to bring those to the Lord. I have the joy of knowing Steve personally and have been on a Phase 1 experience - both personally and the experience is the real deal. My only regret — not going sooner!
