He has written and directed six films and been honored at a dozen festivals. He was raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I have always been a fan of Fantasy books but have recently picked up a cowboy/western interest. I went into The Posse with high hopes as it combines both of these genres. I have to say, The Posse delivered on all my expectations. Brett interweaves the two genres with twists that kept me hooked the entire time. It also completely turned the stereotypes of western books on its head. All the main characters in the story are women which was both refreshing and encouraging. It was also a quick read! If you want a fun, captivating, quick story, this is a sure bet!
