Trina had spent the last three years in a perfect relationship with Brandon. Now after planning the perfect wedding with the man of her dreams, everything she had hoped for their lives together was on the brink of coming true. That is, until the day of the wedding when a very important guest didn’t arrive... the groom himself, Brandon. Now Trina is left to pick up the pieces of her life and figure out what went wrong. Why did Brandon leave her at the altar after everything they had been through? Trina wants answers and she won’t rest until she finds them. Her heart won’t let her.
Left at the alter took a right turn and then a sharp left. I wanted this to be a well-designed get back story but..... It was something different. I guess, I'm good. Shrugs...
Well written with realistic situation. I felt bad for Trina as her life went into a downward spiral after Brandon's unexpected and trifling announcement. Good explanation of the stages of pain Trina experienced. I can say Trina had a wonderful support system with her mom and friends, especially Antonee. Looking forward to reading more stories from from this author
Stewart has quickly become one of my go to authors!!! “You Left Me At The Alter” is another success! I could not put this story down! I read it from beginning to end the moment my pre-order popped up on my Kindle. Trina’s story has so many layers. I loved the format and plot of each chapter, written in the stages of grief Trina was going through. This book was just enough to hold me over until Stewart pens another page turner!!! I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!!!
My first read by this author. I enjoyed this quick read. It wasn’t saturated with sex. It’s about character development and how you’d handle yourself and the situation you’re in when you’re at your lowest.
I think so many of us can relate to this story. I went through every stage of grief with Trina. My story is similar but it didn’t go as far as engagement but finding out that your boyfriend is cheating on you can sure having you doing some of the things Trina did.
I understand why Sydney didn’t tell Trina what she knew. She wouldn’t have listened. Especially since Trina was already approached by other women about Brandon.
It’s amazing that through the fire and ashes, Trina still got herself through it all, with the support of family and friends, to become an example and leader for others who were hurt.
I would have liked this story to be a little more in depth. I've literally took an hour to read it. The story was good and I enjoyed it and liked the happy ending
This was a great read! The way it was sectioned off was completely relatable. Not many people know that major life changes and loss that is not just due to death can cause the symptoms of grief. Having experienced this type of grief in my own life (not this situation) I know how hard things can be. It was very comforting in the way it was written. You feel everything she feels, and despite what happened she still had personality. I've seen a lot of books lose the personality of a character when they are stuck in depression. Absolutely great read and highly recommended. Good job!
I felt bad for Trina in the beginning. But she pulled the wool so far over her eyes, that they blinded her ass! 🤯The red flags were flying high, and she ignored every one of em, trying to keep her man! 👀 Then she became delusional and annoying. Ughhh….. 😤 No one could get through to her, momma, friends, nobody! It took getting called into the office at work for her to begin getting her ish together. I was certainly happy when Trina regained her senses and started her glow up. Antonne huh? Good look! 👍🏾
Just got done reading this. Yes it's a quick read, but only because I found myself devouring Trina's story. Tanisha really has a way of creating dialogue that makes you feel like you are sitting right there in the midst of these characters lived. I found myself so enveloped in finding out what happens next. There's so many emotional rollercoasters! I think a lot of people will be able to relate to Trina. I loved the way here story went from the depths of depression to finding her light again. But I'm mad at that cliffhanger! Lol. I can't wait to see what happens next...
Trina and Brandon were in a relationship for three years. Trina began planning a wedding with the man of her dreams; Brandon. The wedding day arrived at most brides are late for their wedding, but the groom was late for the wedding. Brandon never showed up, he left Trina at the altar. Trina wanted answers from Brandon so she can have peace.
Trina experiences probably every woman's worst nightmare, getting left at the altar. The story gets right to the point, and I enjoyed following Trina on her journey of healing.
I love how the author took a relationship that didn't work to take the chance to teach the readers about mental health and grief. Also the importance of having a good network of friends around you. I read it in no time and it was a good read. Leaves the reader feeling uplifted and more knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
I thought this was going to become a tale of a woman scorned, seeking vengeance. It was so much better than that. The author brilliantly uses the stages of grief to show the development of this young lady who was left at the altar. It was ingenious to mention the employer's benefits which included free counseling. Taking advantage of this possibly saved Trina from spiraling out of control. Loved this book and the positive message it imparts. Great read and I highly recommend it as an uplifting story.
Going through broken relationship we need family and friends to help us see our self worth.
I just finished reading this book, it moved me. I had being in a slight situation in the past I was not left at the altar but he left me for a younger woman, I feel her pain. Glad she found her purpose and love. Many women go through relationship like this the lies, betrayal...... Ladies get a copy of this book
Trina really went crazy for a minute. So glad her boss help her out of getting the help she needed. Trina Mom happily in love. Antoine really love Trina. Brandon should had been the man and told Trina the truth.
This book moved me it was so real and inspiring. Don’t give up on Love because your love has left you. When you open your eyes love is staring you dead in your face. Beautiful story I do want to read more about Trina and Antonne. Great story Tanisha Steward!
Very well written with no grammatical errors which made the read all the more enjoyable. I couldn't phantom being left at the altar and commend Trina for only damaging Brandon's vehicle only once. He got off very easily in my opinion. Walking through the stages of grief was perfect as the end of a serious relationship is an emotional death. Loss of star was because this story, albeit great is not a traditional psychological drama. Other than that, excellent read and message.
This book was really good. I really felt bad for Trina she had her heart broken and found out that she was the mistress all along. She went through hell a d high water over a man that didn’t even want her. The cute thing was her momma knew all the time who wanted her but Trina was too wrapped up in Brandon to see that she had live all in her face the whole time. I hope it’s a part two to this book. I wanna see if Trina and Antonne can really get together and make a go of it ....
Wow. This book started off having me in fight mode. How dare Brandon? Trina ignored so many signs but Brandon would have paid me back for every penny I spent and got his scalp pulled back. What in the world.
We women go through so much heartache when we don’t listen to our gut. I’m so happy to see that Trina engaged with counseling and had a great natural support system.
I really enjoyed this book, "You Left Me At The Altar!" Although a work of fiction, the story is spot on regarding the callousness of some men and the dirt that they nonchalantly do with total disregard for another's feelings. Thank you for this excellent story. It would have been just a little bit better had Brandon and India's relationship crashed and burned! 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
This is a cute short story about a woman who was left at the altar. Her evolution from the hurt and humiliation mirrors the five stages of grief. She has a tremendous support system of friends, family and at work, something most people don't enjoy. Although it wasn't especially believable it was a fun read with an empowering message about self-worth and self-acceptance.
I enjoyed this book. Brandon was wrong for how he did Trina. Trina was looking for love in the wrong place, not realizing love was in front of her the whole time. I’m glad things worked out for.
I get what this book is about and the message you're sending. However, I would have loved for Brandon to get his karma some kind of way. His car wasn't enough for me. Great read though!
It’s not really a psychological drama. I can see how she moved through the stages of grief though. Some parts were so, sooo cringey and others were bad, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly great. I probably won’t read it again.
It was well written. I was sad. I laughed. I talked to the book (lol). I wanted more from the book, but the story is complete. Hood that makes sense. Good story/book.
What a great story! This story is a perfect example of how ones' testimony could be a blessing for someone else. As a result of Trina sharing her story, many were touched and encouraged. You won't be disappointed.
Turning pain into positivity. The situation that left Trina devastated became an impetus for renewal. The story was motivating and real because you experienced the good and bad choices that were made. The outcome could have gone either way but ended up revealing true friendship and support.
Love can be quite damaging and dangerous. Be careful of your significant other. Some smiles are tricky and misleading. Need a part two about the main characters. Definitely will read other books from this author.
Story had me in the beginning. Lost me in the middle. calling it a psychological drama I was expecting a little more drama. It’s a decent read, but the ending was quite the letdown.
Wooooo! Another fantastic book that I read in a few hours. If you need escape that is empowering and encouraging grab this book. It reminds us to pay attention to the signs, take care of our sisterships, and don’t be blind to what’s in front of us.
