Well, this isn't my first time reading this but it's been like 5 years so I decided to give it another try.

I have lived in Memphis my entire life... so it was nice to see that she got most of the slang right, except nobody said mane and everyone here says mane, and she hit on some key places, which was nice.
My issue with the book is it felt lazy. Jaabiri, which is an ugly name tbh, is too perfect and Ivy is too hood and ignorant for some Prince charming type of crap. Let's be real: chicks leave their kids at home to club ALL OF THE TIME. I frown upon it because to me, that's a trash move but I know it happens. Those chicks don't strike me as the type who want or deserve a prince charming.

The end made me gag it was so sweet and unrealistic 😂😂😂

Ivy would have been a better character if she had just hustled on her own and took care of her kids... on her own. Why did she need a man or just have to have one after all that? Sends a stupid message to her kids and a stupid message to the readers.

There is drama there... and it is worth reading but be prepared for the most predictable "turn a hoe into a housewife" story of your life!

Naughty Girls by Alisha Yvonne is about the complicated relationship of Ivy, Storm and Candy. Ivy is a single mother who is trying to get herself together and get back custody of her children. She lost custody because she left her kids home alone and a fire started . To make matters more difficult, she must free herself from a pimp named Storm.
I enjoyed reading Naughty Girls because it expresses a lot of drama and shows the sacrifices that the characters must make to better their lives.
Alisha Yvonne is an owner of Imagine This! Books Etc., a bookstore in Memphis, Tennessee. She is president of R.A.W. SISTAZ, a Memphis chapter book club.
I recommend Naughty Girls to all teenagers, ages 14 and up, because they won’t be able to put the book down. It will play in your head like a movie and keep you glued to every page.

there will always be a problem i will try to over come but all it takes is power and that is so stand on your won two feet and never give up and fight for what you want but not in a way of physical but in a way of handling the situation in court.
