Don't wait, read it now... do the homework later if you must, but read this now!
My book sat on my shelf for a few months and I really wish it hadn't. Now my copy is marked up and highlit like one of my grad school textbooks.
This is a must-read book for all Black women living in America during today's tumultuous social-political climate, yesterday's climate, or the one that will likely be here tomorrow.
Ms. Arrington's voice is touching and inviting; she speaks to you like you are one of her own-her kin. By the end of the book, it's clear that you are just that--family. In fact, it's almost uncomfortable to read just how much a complete stranger can believe in you and want your success as badly as she wants her own.
In her book, she briefly mentions a trip to Africa, which brought tears to my eyes-- as if it weren't clear before, that segment of the text draws brilliant light into the reason behind the creation of this book. Certainly, Karen did not feel Miss. Black USA had touched every single Black woman, and this book was her answer!
Your Next Leve Life, brief as it is-- fills the call to motivate, build, and rebuild each and every one of our desires to go beyond, chase our dreams, and live bigger than we ever imagined.
