3.5 stars, rounded up. Only went to a 3.5 because one of the quotes was repeated twice.

This and one other little book about The Rolling Stones are the only books/gifts I have left from Carissa unread. She knew how much I loved both bands. I’ve been saving them for her birthday and it’s like she’s here giving them to me all over again. I love the Beatles, love their funny quotes, and I miss Carissa so much. Wish we could be celebrating together today but this felt close-ish.

Hardly worth commenting on as it only took me an hour to read! However it's always great to be reminded of the wit of Lennon, the honesty of McCartney and Harrison and the down to earthness of Ringo.

Does what it says on the tin. Includes a good split between the four, showcases both humour and serious musings, even containing two Russian leaders. I had known Putin was a great fan of the Beatles, but I had no idea about that powerful Gorbachev quote-not one that I will ever forget.

There was a repetition of one of George's quotes, but I don't care too much about a simple printing error.

Only real criticism would be that there were only two quotes about how things came to be, namely the Sgt Peppers concept and the origins of Gently Weeps, and that sort of thing is always so interesting that there could have been more of that.

Side-note: It is almost impossible to come away from this reading experience without a belief that Paul felt a fair amount of erotic attraction towards John.

Well, I don't care, I liked it. We had a Beatles fan club with pictures from Sixteen Magazine and Tiger Beat. If someone can't remember where s/he was when Kennedy was shot, or the night the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan... well. Sharpies are wonderful inventions for redacting Putin comments.....if one is so inclined (BTW)

In theory I would’ve given it five stars just because it’s The Beatles... but the book itself got faults; same quote was featured twice and there’s a quote by Vladimir Putin... and it’s just... laughably horrible.

“The Beatles saved the world from boredom”-George Harrison

Great insight into the minds and world of the Fab Four with quotes about the time they shared together. 🧡🧡

Long live The Beatles and long live Rock & Roll!

I knew most of the quotes from before, but it’s still nice to remember them and have a collection of them.
