This is a story about Carlisle Kincaid a sheltered girl. She is proud and a reckless one. Enter Chase Lancaster, a bold adventurer and friend of Carlisle's brother. He has promised her brother to escort Carlisle to Mexico and see that no harm comes to her. Carlisle has other plans, which include a treacherous betrayal. Chase finds himself longing to be with Carlisle with an irrepressible passion that could explode in rapturous fire. This started in Louisiana at a convent where Chase would fetch Carlisle and transport her to his home in Mexico. At the end they end up in Chicago, Illinois at her brothers home. It's quite a story!
