The Restorers

Rate this book
Two years after divorce, Reily Watters lacks direction. A 556-mile canoe and kayak expedition on the Susquehanna River offers diversion he can’t pass up.
But when a real estate development threatens their river, Reily and his new friends must decide whether to take action, or just keep paddling. Will his convictions be strong enough to make a difference. What will it take to save The Heights?
Can this Odyssey save not only the environment… but restore Reily’s solace through love?
Set in 2004, The Restorers blends the brash wildness of Jack Kerouac with the ecojustice of Carl Hiassen and the riverine peace painted by Mark Twain.

Beautifully told for story of the solace and comfort found in nature. I'm a bit biased having grown up in the Susquehanna river this story takes me back into the muddy waters and makes me smile picturing Pat Reily Paddling on
