Despite the stress of dealing with a stalker, Jessica and her husband are happy to be involved in the wedding of one of their oldest friends. However, in the midst of bliss, tragedy strikes, and not even Dr. White's husband is immune to fate's cruelty.

My review: I previously reviewed just books 1-6. After reading this book I decided to buy all the remaining available books in one box set, so essentially on this post I am only reviewing books 7-24. As I was reading the books 1-6 I thought that once you read the first story all other stories could be read independently from each other as individual short stories but as I continued to read I realized that even though these were called books they were really just chapters in a really long book and should definitely be read in order. The stories, while they each have a beginning, middle and end, they are all very much connected to each other as well. The author brings back characters from previous stories, entwines them yet again in the ongoing saga that is Dr. Jessica White and her husband's life. I could not put this book down. Each of these stories are fantastic. After book 24 there were three novels written that also follow the same story line chronologically. My plan is to read these three books before continuing with Taken! 25. As of now there are also Box Sets 26-31 and 32-37 released in ebook and paperback form. I am giddy with excitement. I highly recommend that you read Taken! Box Set books 1-6 as soon as possible, you will not be disappointed. It is available for free on Amazon or iTunes.
I love this series. Each book is a short story that builds upon all the others before it creating a story as a whole that is entirely fascinating. In books 13 thru 18 we learn a bit more about HIS family. He is more determined to have children with his wife Jessica, and not to make the mistakes his parents did. I find it incredibly interesting that although social situations make him nervous he continues to become a social person because of his wife whom he completely loves. You also find that family has a strong meaning to him, perhaps even more than he suspected.
"HE" is old world in his manners, his beliefs in taking care of his wife and family, and he can also be cold, and ruthless. This latter aspect should warn the bad guys NEVER to threaten whom he loves.
Really new character introduced is Samantha Ryan who is an innocent looking doll with a MAJOR character flaw. I look forward to learning more about her!

My one complaint would be the stories are too short. They are really well written and the characters are.easy to love. I just want more of then and more depth to the stories. Dr White and her husband never lack excitement and intrigue.
Man the more I get into this series the more I love it... you think dam can we get one that they don't have to fight someone off lol... I'm actually thinking maybe her hubby (will they ever tell us his name!) isn't the bad guy......well not impulsively anyway lol....;-) on to the next one!
I love this series and the characters. This series has everything love, danger, passion, fighting, and hunting bad guys. If you want some good fast paced reading this is the book to read.
I just can't seem to be able to stop reading this series. It is well written, keeps you wanting more. I can't wait to read the next set of books in this series.
As with the prior books, this book is a series of short stories featuring Dr. Jessica White and her nameless husband. The final story ends with a cliffhanger, however, which would usually end it for me. Fortunately the series is available through KU, however, which is the reason I'll be continuing on to the next book.
