Taken! #6 [part 24B]

Kidnapping The Devil

Rate this book
When a kidnapper calling himself "Jack" kidnaps seven-year-old Samantha Ryan, Jessica and her husband join forces with the FBI to get her back safely.
While Jack is a ruthless killer who has successfully kidnapped children before, he has never abducted anyone like Samantha, who herself is responsible for several murders.

Complications arise from the start, and when an overzealous FBI agent forces Jack's hand, the cold-hearted criminal commits a horrific act that enrages Jessica's husband and sends him on a quest to exact a unique style of vengeance.

Action

I just started reading the series. Its constant action with an intriguing story line, of a man who could be very bad but uses his skills both physical and mental too help law enforcement agencies take on some very bad people and make them pay for their actions. And thank you Mr. Kane for using KU now I can keep reading the whole series.

This COULD have been a great book. But it's not a even a book, it's barely a novella. Reading a good book is like viewing a beautiful painting full of nuance and color. A good book is like unveiling a movie in your mind.. This thing was like looking at a poorly drawn black and white cartoon, that isn't even clear or funny. NO character development besides the main character. NO discription of people places or things. The plot could have been great, but this thing was not.
Rather like a high school kid putting minimal effort.

What an exciting read! The characters were excellent and the story riveting. I would have liked a little more "finish" in the ending. What happens with that girl and her grandparents? And her relationship with Mr. White. Is there a sequel?

Kindred Souls

Each book in this series is riveting in its own way, and the story of Dr Jessica White and her husband "Mr. White" continues to evolve. This is another single story, vs the short story sets in the first books. A child introduced in a previous book is kidnapped by a career criminal, Jack, and his gang. But the child is smart and resourceful. She has skill sets most people never attain. And she has befriended Mr White, who has promised to rescue her. But a cocky FBI agent forces the typically predictable Jack into a new course of action, changing the nature of the 'game', and all bets are off.
It's good this series is available on KU, because there's no stopping now.
