Robert and Claire Rothman lived a quiet life on a secluded farm. However, their peace came to an end one rainy night when their home was invaded by three robbers. When the chaos of that night ended, the robbers were dead and Robert Rothman was a wanted man. Robert Rothman, sixtyish and timid, seemed mild-mannered, but Robert had been keeping secrets from his wife for decades. In Claire Rothman, Jessica sees a woman much like herself, and begins to wonder if her own husband has been hiding his true self behind a mask. When Jessica discovers the answer, she knows her marriage, and her life, will never be the same.
I love Mr. Kane's books and this one is no exception. I like fast pace reading and any time I need a dose of blood pu.ping action his books are my go to.
A little far fetched but enjoyable reading. Eliminating two serial killers in one short story. Interested in how Mr. White is going redeem himself to Jessica.
just like Jax and Tara on SOA her doubt is creeping in...I sure hope this turns our better for her then it did Tara.... lol.....well at least the last of this will be out in march so he isn't making me wait til Sept like Kurt is lmao!
A shift in the leading loves dynamic only keeps the reader ready for the next one. The pivotal point has just occurred and it's not looking good. The case is too close to home with differences the reader can see but of course the doctor does not
This is another great addition to the series and a KU library read. Jessica and her husband are called in on a case by the FBI. The suspect has been married for years to a woman who had no idea of his secret activities. But Jessica sees too many similarities to her own situation to be truly comfortable. She isn't the only one to see similarities, however, and not only their present is placed in danger, but also their future. The book ends with a teaser for book nine. I can't wait to dig in.
