Consisting of interviews and lovely black & white photos of seniors over the age of 100, the book is disappointing because of its lack of information. Apparently the author had a standard list of questions and never strayed from it. How could he not ask the woman who was born and raised in a sod house what it was like to have 9 people stuck in one of those during a Nebraska winter? It was the first question that popped into my mind, but alas, Jerry didn't seem to think that way. One star for the text and one star for those fascinating, craggy old faces. They deserved a better memorial than this.
