The Manning family moves into the old Chambers house on the countryside. At first their children see the ghost of a thin blonde girl. Then the number of hauntings increase... what is the secret about Effy, the ghost? Why did she live in the basement and what about Baily's (Jim's elder daughter) room? In this uncanny story you'll also come across crows which attack people. I really enjoyed this ghost novella. You have everything in there. A family secret, an old mansion, an unsuspecting family who moves in from the city and birds. Nothing spectacular but a solid ghost story that comes along withouth too much gore or violence. I really enjoyed the book and can recommend it!
