Take the journey, find the lock that fits the key and get some damn answers.
Get from point A to point B. Stick to the mapped-out route and take shelter at the pre-planned times. It sounds simple enough, now if only we’d factored in getting attacked by djinn and having to take a detour through The Wilds.
With obstacles at every turn, the last thing the fangs and I need on our arse’s is a new breed of Feral, but it looks like that’s exactly what fate us about to throw at us.
This trip is going to be anything but dull, but with the Fangs as back up, I may just make it to the Bunker in one piece and finally get some answers.
Whoever said road trips were fun can go suck it!

Have you been searching for a new RH series? Action packed? Kick ass Heroine? Do you love steamy scenes and drool worthy guys?
yes I said
The perfect combo! This book has it all! I couldn't be happier with this sequel book 1 had me pretty much jumping for joy and hallelujah this one kept up the pace!
The blurb here doesn't give you much but this picks right back up where 1 left off. Eva is setting off to find the cure for the feral wolves and vamps, along with 3 of the vampire/shifter hybrids. Ash - the silent troll hybrid, Jace - the one in the dog house and Logan - the succubus asshole. Nothing is easy in this alternate universe where humanity is basically wiped out. They soon run into trouble and pick up extra company and help on their way to the bunker they hope will have the answers. Eva has the mysterious key to solving the feral problems and save the world in general.
We get multiple POVs, Eva remains the focus but I particularly enjoyed Tobias's chapters! Least we forget Eva has agreed to feed the 3 hunks ....so the smexy moments were off the charts but we also get the lovely-dovey sweet moments now too and I just couldn't cope *sigh*
Which brings me to a very important announcement
Yes I read an ARC - Therefore I read him first ergo
There I licked him OK!!
Debbie has a certain feel to her harems and this one is no different. Forget those thoughts you had in book 1, the reason for harem #1 "shortage of women" we're moving onto reason #2 "magical bond" oh yes baby my favourite
with only 3 books in this series I'm now revaluing my stance that good things come in three's. Or is it bad things come in three's? Well I've always believed in the power of a trilogy but boy have we got a lot of ground to cover in book 3. And some great new characters aren't going to get a lot of air time. Which sucks
I shouldn't really be sad its almost over when it hasn't happened yet but there you have it! If that's not a good endorsement I don't know what is.
Surprisingly, I finished it in a day. Couldn’t put it down.
LET US PLAY A GAME CALLED: Guess Who?
As in guess who the fuck is in Eva’s harem. Because apparently, it’s any walking supernatural with a swinging dick.
She must be outright bangin’ hot because I’m not gonna lie: Female to female, Eva, I’ll give you my honesty: You are a TOTAL cuntmuffin in this book.
CLING TO HUMANITY SWEETIE!!
More secrets revealed! *gasp* New information! *deceased* SEVEN MEN?!!
Now you’re just being selfish, Eva with the good hair.
I mean, first it’s Tobias. Then it’s the quiet one. The fiesty one. The one with issues. The nice one.
NOW WE ARE AT BOOK TWO AND TWO MEN HAVE JOINED. (Just imagine the potential in book three, who else will be added in?)
Sage: the genie. (I’m trying really hard not to picture him as the genie from Aladdin, or not sing “genie in a bottle” by Cristina Aguilera when Sage enters stage left) Elias: the royal Vladul who apparently has good intentions.
Debbie you’re doing a shitty job at introducing these men.
SEVEN??? At least one has got to go. I’m still debating if Noah is even in the picture. That is entirely too many penises for her to handle.
Great read. Great cliffhanger, Debbie. (Damn you) I cannot wait for book #3.
Okay so I didn't like this as much as the first book. There was a lot of traveling from point A to B to C- which was a little boring, however, we did get more world building-and I am glad we got some answers about the cure and Eva's part in all of it.
I guess my only problem with harem stories like this is when the romance feels like the h/H is sort of "collecting" lovers over a period of time, or continuously growing their numbers.
At first I thought It was just going to be with the four guys we met in the first book, and I thought 'good, they all seem like they are cool with sharing and they will grow to have a closer relationship' but then we get Sage and Elias thrown into the mix and it seems a bit much.
So if the stories continues as it has been it will be Eva/ Tobias, Ash, Jace, Noah, Logan, Sage and Elias? Probably another one of the races thrown in their too? Fey? Claw? I don't even know.
But I do enjoy this dystopian world with fantasy creatures, and really want to see where the story goes. Also-- thumbs up for Eva's character- I like that she always keeps her shit together, is badass, and levelheaded
I...um....I'd take an Ash for 300 Bob!! ...ok so It's 5:30 in the morning and I feel like an idiot....but once 3 hit I said there was no point in sleeping and the book was more important...but now I am sad because the book is gone and I have no more. Such cruel punishment!!!!!! If I could figure out how to post memes...this would be a very long and annoying post. Annnnnyywaaays this was awesome, I think it was short but not really sure because I tend to read sort of fast. But worth it soooo damn worth it. I love how it went from "oh well um you're the only chick...so it makes sense right?" to "loooooky you have special blood and bond with my heart thingy so I love you". No that wasn't sarcasm, that was my lack of sleep trying to say what was in mah head. NO JUDGY FROM YOU! I love Ash but as the story develops you have to start really liking the other guys as well...even if one acts like a child sulking. I'm scared about what will happen with Tobias, I think maybe he actually might be the key to saving her in the end. Like her bonds with her guys on a supe level and all that shit. 3 Fay, Vuldal, Djinn, Human....makes sense right? Cause that's what she is made up of!!! Ok just read over this and realized how crap it was as a review but still read the damn books.
This is a re-read. I feel like this is going along nicely but I feel that too much needs to happen in the final book and I'm not too sure how things will go. I don't know who she will end up with or how the cure will go.
This was a well thought out book. Lots of different supernaturals. Lots of action. It defiantly has the end of the world survival feel when reading it. I just didn't completely click with it. At the end of the day if the world went to pot I'll be one of the first ones killed lol. The group seems to have different ideas about the cure and who should get it and when and I'm wondering if the cracks will get bigger and if it's interfere with the final outcome?

This is a review of book 2 to 4 of the series FOR THE BLOOD.
Actually the series is finished after book 3 and I would say that book 4 is kind of an Epilogue book, where we get to see what happens to Eva and her men after the conclusion. And I'm really glad that Debbie wrote this short (87 pages) book. Because I needed this closure. At the end of book 3 one things stays unresolved and this is the topic of book 4.
Back to book two and three. I like Eva a lot. I didn't realise that I needed a Heroine, that was raised to be selfish and to survive at all costs, even if it means to kill the people who are on your side or to leave them behind. Eva's morals are grey. But luckily there is Tobias, who is in her head and who grounds her. He is the opposite: He puts others first and he would never leave somebody behind, even though he understands Eva's decisions. They both are in love with each other so Eva also grounds Tobias.
Eva doesn't even know why she has to put herself first, but in the second book we do find out, why Eva has to survive.
Trouble with the book is that as a woman in STEM I want to know more about the Genetics. How did they make hybrids like Nate, Logan, Jace and Ash? How are they created and how can they survive the dual nature of their DNA. This part send me spinning, because genetics is so difficult and here it sounds so easy.
I loved the whole series. I liked that even when I thought I can see how things turn out, they turn out unexpected and very different then I imagined. Debbie lead me on and that's why the series was refreshing. My guesses were pretty often wrong and I enjoyed that too!!
I recommend the series and I'm glad we did a br with the #cakeeaters. Also it became part of a challenge our Gamemaster Helen sent up. Thanks for that! I like that Eva
The love interests are starting to heat up a little and every intimate interaction left me craving more and not necessarily because they hadn't already done it all. She has had sex with 2 of her guys now but those encounters felt a bit more tasteful than the usual smut I read😅 but still teasing somehow. For instance, one scene cut off after the FMC had orgasmed but before we got to the sticky messy fluids clean up part that is really never sexy no matter how well written it is.
Ash😍 is the sweetest💖most protective❤️lovable💘 guy ever, and I don't know what it says about me when my current fav can't talk🤐 I keep wondering if I would still like him as much if he opened his mouth and said something dumb😂. But you can tell he's understanding and a kind soul who would never hurt the FMC so I think I would still love❣️ him.
Things are heating🌶️🌶️🌶️up with Logan and our girl, could he possibly care more than Ash? He just might be a big scaredy cat because he's been hurt before 🥰🥲.
We didn't get much interaction with Jace and Noah in this book but I looked forward to learning more about them.
And we have some new additions➕➕, I won't spoil the fun but will say that I'm already loving the dynamic!
The story has been progressing well and while we're learning more about this strange world🌍 and the humans/supes🧛🫅🧌🐺🧟🧞🧝🏃in it I didn't have any issues understanding WTH was going on like with book 1 and the "Subject 14 Incident".
I don’t know why but I wasn’t overly impressed with this book. Of course it was her blood all along that was the cure, a little cliche and so very obvious. I think the author tried to lay subtle hints about things but instead they played out as 100% obvious. The heroine also finds out not only was she “created” but she is also the embodiment of multiple supernatural genes in a human shell. Her father having a clone hidden away in one of the secret bunkers on their route also wasn’t a surprise but her short left expectancy sure was. She’s basically told now that soon her body will fight amongst itself, each piece of her fighting for dominance and she probably has about a month left. Add to this the two new guys she meets along the way and she still has yet to save her bff and first love Tobias. Nothing like pressure from that time limit on your life lol. I appreciate how kick ass she is but I do find it a bit had to belive she never realized how powerful, fast or balanced she is compared to other humans. But that could also be due to the fact aside from Tobias she’s never really been around any in years. I don’t know how all this will conclude but I’m looking forward to the many battles ahead.

Yall idk, this book feels hella messy. How did she go from not liking anybody (apart from her love for Tobias that I don’t understand), to wanting to fuck literally everyone she meets? Eva in this one definitely feels different to Eva in the first one. I feel like we‘ve just had a bunch of new characters thrown at us without even developing the original ones.
This has made me realise that I prefer the RH series formula where the MC will gain a new man per book, the focus will be primarily on them. (Not that the other men wont be there, but the romance aspect will be focussed on one at a time)
I’m glad we had multiple POVs, that made this more fun. I don’t think I particularly like this series, but I am very curious to see what happens next. I think I’ll just carry on until I can’t stand it anymore since it’s only a short series.
Like a bag of chips, when you can't eat just one, this series won't let me quit.
Spoilers below...
Eva is knows her origins and it isn't looking good for her. They know what the cure is and how to go about getting it out. The next leg of their journey sounds difficult, but that's what makes the story great.
I still love Ash so much. Jace has changed and isn't as happy and fun as he was in the first book, but I think he loves Eva. Logan is still an asshole, but it's clear he is all about Eva now despite his abrupt foot in mouth tendencies. Sage is wonderful and I love him too. Elias? Wow. Didn't see that coming, but I like it.
This series is something. So glad I started it for the BR with the RHR folks.

I admit, it feels like there are too many people in the 'harem' and it is starting to feel weird. But, the story itself is good. Win some, lose some, I guess. Still like the book.
Another good book in the series that advances the storyline quite a bit - there's some twists and revelations about the cure, Eva herself, the three fangs, and we get new friends onboard. There's an adorable little boy with a teddy bear and creepy plants. Brings to mind that old SNES game, The Zombies ate my neighbors, blending with that fly trap plant on Little Shop of Horrors. Noah is hardly there since they leave the bunk behind to keep traveling, and along the path they learn much.
There's a troubling twist about Tobias and no telling how that will go. I liked the introduction of the characters, but it does seem that the relationships (besides Ash) are developing almost too fast and losing some of their spark because of it
With only one book left, there's still a lot to resolve, plotline and relationship-wise. I think it would be better to have four books to have it not seem so rushed.
This is getting ridiculous, and fast. Despite being a sucker for RH romance, watching Eva collect potential love interests left and right is making me kind of uncomfortable. We're at what now - seven? What the Hell. Basically every male character (and even a female one) is instantly smitten with Eva upon meeting her, and I just can't.
I do love Ash, though, and I am quite enjoying the story so far. Despite all its flaws (and there are many), I'm invested enough to one, give this book 3 stars, and two, continue with book #3 right away.
I liked it but but the characters still felt immature, almost like a YA story. The depth of the why's and how's didn't mesh and the RH felt forced and not all that romantic.
Noah move aside Elias is here and he’s here to stay. (Noah come back)…. LOGAN YOURE IN!!! Ash you’re too good I honestly take you for granted but thanks for the crumb of stability in this story. Sage - the jury is out you’re kinda annoying with the whole righteous act. JUST BANG ALREADY. Sheeeesh. Jace you’re boring give me something hunny come on. Tobias…. X? Let’s see what you got dude bring me something other than tears and weakness.
I am so confused who is in the harem. At the start of the book we got a new player, he is definitely part of the team now. Then we have separate chapter from the point of view from the bad guy, who keeps complementing her and maybe wants to kill her. Is he gonna be apart of it to ?
Ash is on board and Logan is in the waiting room. Tobias hasn’t really been mentioned in a while, so I don’t think we are bothered about him anymore. Jace just blushed at some random girl, so he might be out of it now and fall for her. Noah’s in a bunker probably murdering someone, so I have now idea. Every time she describes a guys features I’m like is he joining to 🫣
I may come back to it, cause I really liked the first book, but nothing seems clear in this one. It didn’t need to be as clear in book 1, as all the relationship were just beginning, but now I kinda need clarity. Who do I hate. Who do I like. 🫠
Okay first off I have to say that these covers are stunning. Second, it is a Debbie Cassidy story and I am hooked automatically. She has become one of my go to authors for a good read guaranteed.
For the Power picks up where For the Blood leaves off, Eva is on her quest for the cure, with the help of the guys. The storyline is at a good pace, with plenty of action and suspense. There are some twists and turns along the way. Some I could see coming and some I could not.
The relationship front grows amongst Eva and the guys. She is getting to know each one more, maybe one or more alittle slower than the rest. There are some issues to overcome, but the outcome is worth it.
We do get some answers here, and I am itching to know what happens in For The Reign. I am eagerly looking forward to the third book, however I am mixed because it is the final in the trilogy. Don't know if I want to let go of Eva and her men yet.
This second book is definitely giving more then the first. Finally we understand all the technicalities given before without further explanation, finally we get to the cure, finally we know more about the Vladuls because I was literally blank about them before 😅 I loved knowing a bit more about each men, I'm also happy to have at least another badass female representative with Kira.
I could be falling for all these boys at this point. Logan and all his angst has me tingling the most, to be honest; but God Sage, I love him. And Jace... I'm waiting for you to come out of your shell. I can't wait to see the reunion with Tobias in book 3, and the development with Elias, who is the most powerful, but perhaps the softer of them all.
Little prediction: I suppose to save Eva all of them are required somehow with their different DNAs.
Alright, so everything that I didn’t understand in the first book, was definitely explained in this one. Although, I still think both of them are too short!! Seriously, I just want to read forever about Eva and everything and everyone in this awesome story. Can’t believe I have to wait until march for the third book 😫
Well this is a series that will have you on the edge of your seat literally! Carrying on from book one this second book is full of action, danger and the twists and turns, well they just kept on coming! I love the FMC and as for the ending well I can't wait to read what happens next!
FOR THE POWER was a nice continuation of the For the Blood series.
I enjoyed the reveals we got in FOR THE POWER. Eva learned some major information about herself and she handled it pretty well. In fact she handled it better than the men in her life which is understandable.
Speaking of the men in her life. I feel that the progression of the connections and relationships are coming along nicely. It has felt natural and wasn't just thrown out there or rushed. I have enjoyed learning about all of them and look forward to learning more and watching their relationships grow as they work towards their mutual goals. I still feel like I would be OK if Tobias didn't get saved and join the harem. Everyone meshes so well at the moment and it works. I'm not sure if it would have the same feel if he joins the mix, but I might change my mind if it ends up happening.
So far, I'm enjoying the world and the storyline. There are a lot of different players coming to light and I look forward to reading more.

2.5. I’m done with this series. I love the concept of a post apocalyptic setting for a romance. However all the relationships, even the more established ones, feel very unsatisfying right now. There are so many men in her circle but I’m confused if there is going to any future relationship or not. I can’t tell if they are just there or if the author is trying to build something. Super muddy. I read some reviews of the next, and final, book and it doesn’t sound like it gets much better. Over and out on this one.
... Well that was disappointing. This sequel should have been an opportunity to expand on the world building and bring some depth to Eva and the others, but it just fell flat. It all just came across as superficial and unconvincing. Won't bother with the next one.
The whole series took me about 2 days to finish. Been a long time since I enjoyed reading a book so much I finished it so fast.
For a rh it's pretty good. The story line is great. The characters are amazing. I've already read the next book. I'mma gor write the next review now. Tata peace
