The box set Rogue Extra is the best of both worlds: it features a controversial character from the Rogue Series--Danny Boy, drummer Shay's trouble-making brother--and also continues the stories of main characters Gavin, Conor, Shay, and Martin.
LOOKING FOR TROUBLE
My brother may be the world-famous drummer for Rogue, but all I've ever been is a disappointment. Until now, that is. Now, I'm finally trying to improve myself. Even going so far as to subject myself to therapy sessions.
But then she enters my life and stirs up the past.
It won't be easy to resist the temptation she offers to go backwards. But I've got a dog named Roscoe, a therapist named Ms. Patterson, and an unexpected, but welcome, new band of brothers backing me.
All I need to do is stop looking for trouble.
FELICITY FOUND
I am a fortunate person. I have had great disappointments in life that have been overshadowed by even greater blessings--that includes my husband, world-renowned rock guitar god, Conor Quinn, and our two beautiful newborn babies.
So, why does everything feel so off?
When Conor comes home late one night to find me in a ... rare state, all he wants to do is fix me. But the methods he and my therapist-turned-friend use may cause more harm than good.
All I want is to find a path back to that stability I've always craved. That journey won't be easy, but I have to believe it will be worth it.
ROGUE CHRISTMAS STORY - A Novella
When Gavin agrees on the band's behalf to have Rogue perform at Rio's massive Réveillon festival at Copacabana Beach on New Year's Eve, he'll need Sophie's help, and maybe even a Christmas miracle, to get everyone on board.
The band members, convinced to make the most of the unexpected gig, take their families to Brazil for a trip that includes incredible sightseeing, a romantic surprise, and bonding like only the men of Rogue and their better-halves can.
PROBLEMATIC LOVE
So, what happens after I finally stop looking for trouble? When I actually get the girl?
It's not all rainbows and sunshine, I can tell you that. It's messy and complicated and full of mistakes. Because I am who I am, even if I've come a long way.
My Amelia tells me I'm problematic. No truer words have ever been spoken. And yet, I won't stop trying to prove to her that problematic is really just another word for exciting, and that we can make us work.

Outstanding! There are so many feeling coming at me right now that I’m hoping to put my thoughts into words as a book review is expected to do. Lol This is another book in the Rouge series and this time we have Rouge’s drummer Shay’s brother, Danny Boy, in the spotlight. He has been known as the screw-up and has negatively affected anyone whose life he has touched but then again drug addiction will do that to you. You feel that no one should love you including yourself.
With the help of Ms. Patterson, his therapist, who is helping him one step at a time to deal with his past and then most importantly help him re-route his thought process and come out a better person that not only the ones around him see but that he sees in himself.
Just like every addict, he has to fight this battle every day and try to keep the temptation at bay…which is hard for Danny Boy to do since Jules has come into his life. Danny Boy had been warned about Jules and how there is always an ulterior motive in what she does even to the point of using Danny Boy to get close to his brother’s bandmate, Gavin, whose marriage she tried to destroy. Danny Boy does see Jules as what she is and that is toxic but they both fall back on sex to make things a little more bearable.
Throughout this time Danny Boy has felt more than just a therapist relationship with Ms. Patterson but will that help or hurt Danny Boy with him trying to get his life on track? Will the rest of the guys from Rouge give Danny Boy another chance because they all know he has used up every chance they had given to him in the past only to be badly burned by this drug addict?
The book will teach you that standing by someone dealing with drug addiction can be better for some than the tough love route since everyone is different. Looking For Trouble gives you all the guys from Rouge and if you haven’t had the fortune of reading the prior books in this series…do it!! If you are a rock romance fan you will be happy you did.
Felicity Found
For me this is one of those books that you take your time reading because you don’t want it to end. Yes, it was that good! We revisit sex god and guitarist extraordinaire for the famous rock band Rouge, Connor Quinn and his strong personality childhood friend who hung with Connor and Gavin and later became Connor’s secret high school friend with benefits, Felicity.
What made this book especially good is that now we see how real life is affecting this newly married couple and parents to two children under the age of six months. Felicity is struggling mentally and postpartum depression is affecting not only her but those she loves. She knows she’s losing herself and the husband she loves. Add to this the constant flirting and sexy as h*ll husband that she no longer feels worthy of. Connor has also been side swiped by devastating news of his father, which he keeps a secret from Felicity, all while being in the recording studio nonstop trying to get their next album ready.
This is definitely a must read book but the first five books in this series should be read to get the full effect of the entire goings on. You won’t be disappointed because all of these books are five star books which are written by an author that puts depth to all of her characters and has you wanting for more.
Rogue Christmas Story
I can never get enough of the guys from Rogue and what better way to get you in the Christmas spirit than to visit all the guys and their families on their Christmas work/vacation. It was a great look into their lives yet again bringing some Christmas spirit to the forefront.
I love the Rogue series and was so happy to see this book and I cannot wait to read more on the guys and their families. Great rock romance!!
Problematic Love
I finally have Danny Boy and Amelia’s story and it couldn’t have been more perfect for such an imperfect couple. I mean what physicist would date their patient especially one as damaged as Danny Boy was and still is. That’s what makes this story even better because the author didn’t wave a magical wand and everything stopped being bad, she made the story real. Addiction never stops and pasts are always there it’s just how you learn to live with them that make the difference.
Danny Boy and Amelia’s story is one of true love and coming out of the darkness and learning how to actually live a life “normal” people do. I loved how everyone from the Rouge family played such a huge part of this story because I can never get enough of them and I only hope this author will continue to give me the stories I crave from this series.
Make sure you start with book one of this series to really get the true story of the Rouge guys and the women who love them. Each and every book will add just another piece to your heart making it seem full with each one.
Series Reading Order: Tangled Up In You Playing At Love Hitting That Sweet Spot Finding Rhythm Looking For Trouble Felicity Found Rogue Christmas Story Problematic Love
All of the books were great! The characters were well written and I fell in love with each of them, except for the ones we weren't supposed to like 😉, from the very beginning! I couldn't put the books down!
Love this series SO much and now the Extras are together in one! If you have not read the Rogue series (starts with Tangled up in you) DO SO NOW! It’s hands down one of the best RR I’ve ever read! And, the following books might more sense. Although these are all great on their own too! Enjoy!
Looking for Trouble This was Danny Boy's story and written differently than the other books in the series. It is in the first person POV of DB as he finds his way to sobriety and facing reality for the first time since he was 18.
DB had always come across in the other books as a free-wheeling dipsh!t with no filter and an inability to consider any consequences to his actions. As an addict with an enabling brother beholden to him from his neglected childhood, he never had to face anything of substance except scoring the next substances that would numb the pain. So great to see him grow into a better man!
Felicity Found A Rogue extra that delves into Felicity's honest fears of failure as a wife, a daughter and now a new mother. During an overwhelming time of juggling life with two children under 6 months, raging hormone fluctuations, the pressures of keeping it together for a sexually demanding husband and constantly comparing oneself to the seemingly perfect Sophie, Felicity falls but ultimately finds her footing again.
Conor brings in those panty melting smiles with the swoony lines one minute, and then you just want to throttle him the next. Swoon, throttle, swoon, throttle... Yup, that's Conor alright. We watch him tread through uncharted territory, trying to take control over a situation that was entirely out of his control. While intentions are good, they don't always pan out the way you want them to.
Throughout the book you can feel both of their internal struggles of trying to be what they think the other needs even though they only want the others truth; even if it's ugly. It was beautiful, but at times your heart cracks as they expose their vulnerabilities to one another.
Rogue Christmas It's always feels like hanging out with old friends. This snippet gave us a peak into each character and showed their growth and maturity as they all took a trip to Rio for a festival. This author always paints to most real and seemingly accurate descriptions when they are on location.I love it!
It's not a stand alone so if you have not read the others, which starts with Tangled Up in You, and I highly recommend! Some things might not make sense in this or would make more sense if you knew some of the back story. I love all of the books in this series! One of the best series in the RR genre out there.
Problematic Love Once again Lara Ward Cosio has delivered a fantastic window into the inner workings of our Danny Boy and his attempt at a “normal” relationship with Amelia. This Rogue extra gives us a glimpse into Amelia’s inner struggles to make peace with who she was (and what she did) and what she wants to be while trying to figure out if there could be something more with this enigma we call Danny Boy. Daniel has his moments, but Danny Boy comes out on several occasions. Although his epic f*#k ups are tame in comparison to his past life as an addict… he still finds a way to get pissed drunk and make an a$$ out of himself plenty. Amelia gives herself to him but they hit an impasse when she struggles with wanting a life that Danny Boy can’t give her… and Im glad that she did not settle for less than what her heart truly wants in life. You feel his pain and understand why he feels the way he does… and you can feel her pain in making that tough decision. Partnerships are about compromise and willingness to love each other despite the idiosyncrasies – and boy does Danny Boy have a boat load of idiosyncrasies …. Loved visiting with the rest of the band and watching them fall into line with their new lives, kids and all. How life’s priorities change as you grow, love, and build their families. This Rogue family is something special and I am glad that both Danny Boy and Amelia found themselves included – both together and individually.
My only wish…. More windows into the other members of the band. The first 4 full length books had a nice weaving of alternating perspectives and POVs from each of the band members – and while the books individually focused on each couple, Lara weaved in the members from previous books a bit more intricately. That was something I did not realize how unique and special it was until I read the books for the second time. I love every one of them .. . the characters, the stories, the vivid descriptions of where they are and what they are doing. If you have not started this series yet – DO SO NOW! Starts with Tangled up in YOU and I promise you – you will not be disappointed!
I just finished the full 8 book series!! It was wonderful. There wasn't one story that I enjoyed more than the next!! I loved the fully story of every character!! You are a wonderful author and I look forward to you writing another series!! Thank you for sharing these stories!!!
The entire Rogue series has just been a truly amazing series. A huge “Congratulations” goes to the author, Laura Ward Cosio, on the amazing work that she’s done over this series of novels! This is truly a read for anyone; it is beautifully and well scripted!
Wow, an amazing series of books! The trials and tribulations of all the characters! Tears, anger frustration & laughter in abundance! Don't take my word for it, read the The Rogue series!
This Rogue series was FANTASTIC! I am amazed at how real life experiences could be told, boldly and with the good and bad we ALL experience, in such an entertaining and forgiving way. Best series I have read in a long time.
