Linda Ford grew up devouring books and making up stories in her head—often late at night when she couldn't sleep. But she hadn't planned to write. Instead, she dreamed of running an orphanage. In a way, that dream came true. She married, had four homemade children, adopted ten and lived (at times, endured) the dream.
Writing first took her to non-fiction human-interest articles for newspapers and eventually a non-fiction book about tuberculosis set in the 1930s and 1940s (Touched By The White Plague). But romance had always been her first love and she turned to writing love stories. She is multi-published in the CBA market.
She lives on a small ranch in Alberta, Canada, where she can see the mountains every day. She and her husband continue to enjoy their children and grandchildren.
Well this was another great read ! Linda Ford has a way of making you love her characters.
Alex is a young new preacher just arriving in Glory, Montana . There to help Preacher Kinsley. Clara and her brother Louie are living with the Kinsley's also helping out with the household. Clara is running from a tramatic past that she must come to terms with . Alex comes from a long line of preachers, he's hoping to make his family and God proud. These two have a lot to deal with along the way to finding love and healing.
This story is of how different people have to learn to get along in this world of overbearing people as well as those who love to make things hard for everyone. The story of rape and hurt by a man who was supposed to be her stepfather, and the verbal abuse by the people who act like they are something they wish they were. The preacher and his wife who run the manse and take in those who need help regardless of who they are. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
Linda Ford has written several books set in a town named Glory, Montana. The minister, Jacob Kinsley and his family settle in the area where five of his daughters are married off, but the work keeps piling up. Preacer Alex comes help him for a few months, but runs into two children whose mothers try to protect their sons from violent abusive men. Linda Ford has a deft hand at characterization and story telling. She also has the skill to weave God's word into people's lives including those of us who are the readers.
This is a well written story and the plot was well thought out too. I love the inclusion on previous characters and events. Their is adventure, excitement, bits of humor, romance and the hope of a happily ever after. I sure hope there is at least one one story in this series about the preacher’s son that disappeared years ago and is still missing. Very enjoyable read.
This is a very emotional healing story. The hero is beyond wonderful. The heroine is struggling with a dark secret that has her broken. I would warn that if you have trouble reading accounts of rape or incest this work may not be for you. However, it does show the process that rape victims go through to forgive themselves and healing only God’s unconditional love will provide.
This was another great story. Clara and Louie were staying with the Kingsleys in the Manse (church home). Alex Keystone was a young preacher, who had come to assist Pastor Kingsley with his duties. Clara and Alex developed feelings for each other but had many obstacles to overcome. You will receive a blessing from this story.
This book brought tears to my eyes and smiles to my lips. And watching as each daughter Begins her own life. Make sure you read This series in order. Linda Ford is a very talented writer!!! (would love to see more of Alex and his wife as they begin in the Black Hills)
A moving story of tragedy, love, forgiveness and acceptance. Alex arrived to be a second preacher and though he has vowed never to marry, once he met Clara he wasn't sure he would keep that vow. Clara however has a couple of serious secrets she feels will keep them apart forever. Can they get past all the trouble and make a life together?
Linda Ford has certainly been blessed by God to be able to write such wonderful and interesting stories, while reminding us of God’s love and faithfulness. You don’t need to be religious to enjoy her stories. They are full of the good things in life as well as the tragic and hardships we all face in life today.
This book broke my heart. I cried. I have enjoyed all the Glory books. Looking forward to the last 3. Dear Linda Ford I have many of your series and books. Some in paperback. Lot on kindle. I am refreshed by the scripture and usually sing with the hymns. Thank you so very much. You are amazing.
This was another phenomenal western love story like the previous 6 books in this Series and is exceptional with two young people's story of them falling in love forevermore. How great is that in this western romance novel. Thanks for the great read!
I've loved reading Ms Ford's story, it's about the adventures of a young woman who is hiding in on plain sight. The author has gone the extra it's takes to make sure her story contains it all!
Clara is on the run with her little brother (or is he) Alex has come to help at the church. He has no intention of falling in love however....Clara wins his heart. She harbors a dark secret. Can she tell him? Can he help her?
This story holds a message for our world today. A message of love for all people, and how God expects us to show His love to all regardless of race, color or creed.
I am still amazed at the open hearts of the preacher's family, even as adopted girls shared this love. I also liked the fact that love shines through this young preacher. Book 7 continue with suspense and trouble, keeping me reading. 'It is Well With My Soul'.
God is so good to all. I love how the author shows the pain that people go through but is able to show God's faithfulness and healing. Loved this book and all the previous books. Great reading.
Another wonderful story. Linda Ford weaves such great love stories between men and women together. Only she fills the stories with the amazing love of most, God's love.
Half native American and blessed with a little boy. Clara seeks peace and refuge to escape her past and finds a welcoming family and a visitor who captures her heart.
Once again Linda Ford writes a sweet story with great characters. The content of book deals with life issues and reflects the heart of God in dealing with the problems.
