‘Mission accomplished. Job complete and buried’ – a new Case Lee thriller!
Idaho author Vince Milam retains as much mystery about his background as he imbues in his supernatural mystery thrillers. From his resume, only the following offers a few facts: ` I live in the Intermountain West where soaring mountains and vast high deserts give a person plenty of room to think. I've lived and worked in over twenty-five countries around the globe, am a certified Wellness Coach, have a coterie of dear friends and family that provide succor and support, and have an old dog that is also a best buddy. I have an affinity for characters of all stripes, and strive to bring out the uniqueness of my literary protagonists.' And now he adds, “I have incorporated personal experiences from my two-plus years sent in Brazil – working half that time in the Amazon rain forest, and the other half in Rio. I believe my experiences add depth and realism”
And so in Book 4 THE BRAZIL JOB that before posed question - `can a man so positive in this manner of approaching life grasp the darkness of evil?' - and the answer, fortunately for his readers, is an `absolutely Yes'. Vince ‘s manner of conducting a suspense filled thriller with overtones of Spirituality is refreshing to say the least. His language grows more eloquent with each new book and his ability to retain memories of the early books of the series enhances this story – but the book is quite easily a stand alone novel, so well crafted has Vince made the plot.
The story is condensed as follows: ‘When a rogue scientist disappears with an earth-shattering discovery, a man with special skills is sent to find her. Will he succeed in time to stop a global disaster? Former Delta operator Case Lee is contracted to extract a lost Swiss bio-prospector from Brazil, where he learns the scientist has vanished with an incredible organic substance that has the potential for genocide. Case is plunged into the pursuit of his life through dark rain forest and the gritty slums of Rio—where victory is defined by staying alive against ruthless spies, an underworld of drug dealers, and deep-shadow conspirators.’
One of the many aspects that make Vince such a successful novelist is his spectrum of characters he deftly create – ‘An intense figure stared my way, eyes dark and menacing as he spoke Farsi into his cell phone. Sitting two tables away, his presence painted this find-the-lost-scientist contract with ugly possibilities. I lowered my sunglasses and locked eyes. He paused the conversation, turned his head, and ended it with his voice considerably lowered. Game on.’
Vince Milam is now recognized as one of the major writers of suspenseful novels writing today. Polished to a fare-thee-well, this novel is his best yet
