This book provides a very strong outline of how to navigate the often ambiguous jungle of project management. Keep in mind that this is an overview that does not delve too deeply into any one topic, like Project Scheduling or Project Evaluation, for examples. There is enough content to give you a really good "heads up." This book can also serve as an excellent refresher of your critical moves.
Once I reorganize my notes in electronic form, I plan to fill in the bullets with other notes from other books. Under the Leadership chapter, I'll cite "How Nasa Builds Teams" and those ideas on how to better recognize team member's preferred communication methods and learning styles.

The importance of project management becomes obvious in situations like this present time, when countries endeavour to vaccinate their respect populations from the Covid-19 virus. Most of us will never have to management our projects at this kind of level. However, with whatever project in our mind, knowing principles and tools of management will give us confidence our project will end in a satisfactory conclusion. The author writes in a very accessible manner so that most people can understand the points he is making. After he has clarified what a project is, he indicates the importance ofg having a clear picture of what you want to achieve, how to plan, making your money work for you, leading the team, turning the plan into reality and the all-important evaluation and appraisal. For me, the stand out message was the importance of SOC (strategic outline case) in determining whethe a project should go ahead or not. A very helpful introduction to project management,
Average book, learnt about few online services and new terminologies and best practices but felt that title was misleading.
However it covers all basic processes of fundamentals of Project Management like how to deliver a successful project from start to finish, Communicate effectively with people at all levels, Manage changes and control scope creep, Identify and deal with risks and Work with common project management methodologies.
Enjoyed it but would not recommend to a project manager as it lacks the details and depth and mostly written stuff is daily routine work for most of the project managers.
A useful read - easy to read and full of helpful advice. Lots of common sense stuff, just skimming over the top of many areas of project management and people management and communication. Interesting to get it all pulled together and just read through it though.
More like Project Management Overview..not secrets ;). There's a lot of terminology that I'm not sure is completely clear if you're new to PM, good overview on the subject. Cheers!
