Lauren has made a new life for herself in the small town of Slightuckett. With Emma her lovely pet by her side. She use to be a trauma surgeon and now she is a doctor at the local clinic.

Marc seems to have an accident with his Harley and she comes out of her house to try and help him. The bike is totaled and he has a few broken ribs and a bad knee. With no where to stay she offers him her couch.

When a few days turns into weeks they decide to have a friends with benefits until the Ex shows up and things get complicated. Can Lauren save her self and her heart?

I loved this story. This is the second book I have read by Jolie and it won’t be the last. She has a way of keeping the reader turning the pages. It is not just the sexy scenes but the characters themselves. Lauren draws you in and Marc with some twits has you on the edge of your seat to see what happens.

You will feel you are on the beach with Emma and Lauren. This is not your typical MC romance it is secondary. The book was so great I read in one sitting.

I voluntairly reviewed an Arc of this book.

Eh, it was ok. I listened to the audio book and I didn’t really like the narrators voice for Marc, made it comical for me. It was also slightly cringey. I understand that it’s a short story and things happen ‘fast’ but I feel with the background she sets up for Lauren, how the book proceeds is quite unrealistic and made me roll my eye a few times.

Liz and Carter are some of my favorite characters. They each are dealing with loss and it effects their lives. He is dealing with PTSD and Liz death of some family members. She just works herself to hard to forget. That is until she meets Carter in the coffee shop. Can he deal with the PTSD and learn to love and can Liz share her secrets?

The author does a wonderful job on the story and PTSD. The characters pop and the plot is great. You will be wanting to know how it all ends.

Running away from an abusive husband Dr. Lauren Stanton runs right into the arms of a bad boy biker of the worst kind....why? Because he has the ability to reach a place she never thought existed anymore, or before for that matter. Marc makes her feel a passion unlike no other, but will he be able to protect her from her Ex who is still hell bent on getting her, or will she lose him in the process?

I received a complimentary free copy of this book for review. Loved every minute of it. It shows that some should not be as judgmental about appearances as not all bikers are bad boys, well okay so some are bad boys with a good heart :-) Enjoy

Story wasn't believable.
Though the plot was excellent it didn't work for me. After the trauma that Lauren had been through, she needed to learn to trust before she put her body into harms way. It just didn't ring true that she would have unprotected sex with an Alpha male less than 24 hours after meeting him when she was still flinching if any man came near her. I never felt an emotional connection between Lauren and Marc, only lust and I therefore felt distant from the couple and couldn't identify with them.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own. There were a number of editing issues in my ebook but these have hopefully been addressed in the final published copy.

This is a very hot short read that was really sweet. Georgie has been playing it safe for years doing what she's told, running errands, writing fluff pieces, all to prove she's a team player and get a real writing position at the local paper where she works. When a biker bar opens up in their small town, her closed minded editor sends her to the bar to write a condemning piece. Instead she meets a wonderful man that excites her and encourages her to be herself, her real self. This is the story of how love changed her life. The only thing I wasn't fond of was what happened at Mickey's and how that misunderstanding was never straightened out. Otherwise, it was really good. I hadn't read the original novella that became this book. It's certainly not what I expect from your typical MC romance. This book covers a lot of ground; heartbreak, abuse, deceit. At times, it reads more like a thriller than a standard romance novel. However you classify this book, it kept me turning pages, desperate to find out how it would end. After everything she's survived, Lauren is such a strong woman. I'm in awe of her ability to carry on her day-to-day life. And Marc has so many different facets to his character that even now that the book is over I'm still pretty sure we don't know him yet. I look forward to seeing what the author has for us next.

Excellent romantic suspense. Marc is all tough guy yet he is the salve to all of this doctors wounds. Lauren is very brave, most of the time, but she knows she is tiptoeing through life on borrowed time. Very well-written story that touches on a very sensitive topic yet brings hope and new life to a woman that spirit has almost been completely broken by a man that "loved" her. The emotional element is there but not overdone to point of sucking all the happy moments out of their story. Marc is just amazing, he is upfront with her, very patient and compassionate. They just click and I think because he accepts her, as is, she is revitalized to live life outside the cage instead of inside her personal prison.

I really liked Liz and Carter. They're such complex characters, it was easy to get caught up in their world, in their push-me/pull-you drama. They both have deep emotional traumas they're dealing with but neither is making much headway towards healing on their own. Together, they might be exactly what the other needs in order to find peace. There were a couple of threads I would have liked to unravel further, including the whole Hell's Seven angle. For a MC romance, that aspect played a very small part of the story.

Biker’s girl has been published before under the title Rebel. It tells the story of Georgie, a journalist in quite a conservative small town. As you can imagine, she is bored out of her mind and secretly yearning for something that makes her heart beat faster. Who can blame the girl? We all want to feel a little bit of adrenaline rush through our veins and make us feel alive. Enter a sexy as hell lonely wolf on a sweet ride. Georgie has had his fair share of woman and everything that entails living on the road. Nothing quite surprises him anymore until Georgie. Honestly, I thought it was a little cliché seeing the bad boy falls for good girl thing. Nevertheless, I let it go because Charlie was quite a charmer in his own particular way and Georgie reminded me of my desire to let control go and be wild and brave for once.
I also loved the little insight we get from the journalism world. It makes us realize how difficult it is to have your voice heard when the ones above you don’t share your opinions. Georgie has her own right to tell the world her experiences, believes and the ones of those she interviewed. However, there is no room for those in a place full of prudes. I do believe there is a time and place to share certain things and she had all the right to do her sharing.
Now, the plot was quite fast paced. Fair warning, this is no erotica! No matter what you heard or think about the title. There are some pretty sexy scenes, which should be expected from a biker romance. There is also a fair share of drama. I couldn’t help but hurt when G and C experience difficult situations but I was more than overjoyed when they were laughing and flirting. In fact, I was more than happy with the ending. I assure you, the readers will too.

This book is a bit fast paced. Georgie is a beautiful young journalist in a small town. Charlie lives his life on the road riding his bike across the country. When a new bar opens in town Georgie is asked to go check it out and write an article about it. That is where Georgie meets Charlie. He is taken with her right away and she is shocked that he genuinely seems interested in her. When Georgie writes her article and it isn’t what her editor wants it to be she is sent back to try again. When once again Charlie is there she confirms that she can’t do what her editor wants. When she tells Charlie about her situation he invites her to come with him. When once again Charlie doesn’t write the article, her editor wants she finds herself without a job. Now she has a choice to make. Either find another job she isn’t truly happy with or go with Charlie. While I wouldn’t consider this book erotica it was still a great book. Georgie goes through a bit of a transformation during the book. While Charlie and Georgie don’t know each other all that long before things really get going the have an instant bond of sorts. This book isn’t very long but packs a punch. Great job Jolie can’t wait to read books by you in the future.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Freedom of the Road.
Georgie's editor sends her to the opening night of a biker bar with instructions to write a hostile article but Georgie finds the bikers warm and friendly and instead writes a positive piece. Her article is torn up and she is sent back a second night; Georgie is not too disappointed as it gives her the opportunity to connect with the sexy biker she interviewed the night before. They get on so well, she invites him home and they have lots of (unprotected) sex. After her second submission of a positive article she is demoted to crossword writer and the hatchet job given to another journalist. When this piece is published no one at the bar (save for Charlie) believes she is not behind the story and a fight, which doesn't do the bar any favours, breaks out. After Georgie quits her job, Charlie invites her to join him on the road. An enjoyable romance, though unsure where the 'mystery' in the strap line comes in.

This sweet little novella plays like an Ode to Bikers, and it does it well. Georgie is sent to learn about the MC for the purpose of writing a negative story, but everything she sees leaves her with nothing but positive memories. She and Charlie have a bit of a rocky road before their immediate chemistry draws them past the misunderstandings and together they find what's truly important in their lives. A short but looking-far-into-the-future HEA was very satisfying. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Very exciting and adventurous read. It goes to show that you know who your real family is when shit hits the fan. Charlie and Georgie were characters who met at the right time for the right reasons. Meaning that gang life was never longterm for either one of them. I liked the author's roll through way of approaching this story, and concluding everything off in a roundaboutness to make it thorough.

This was a very compelling read from the very beginning. The author brings you right in to the suspense and action and includes a dog, Emma, who is the heroine, of course😉. Marc is immediately attractive and, just as Lauren does, the reader trusts him completely. Quick read finished in about an hour and left me searching for more Jolie Day!

Good Read

This was a really cute story, but it was not erotica. I am not complaining because honestly I don't really care for erotica very much, but I digress. Charlie and Georgie were cute together.

It was okay but a real stretch from reality, and not in a good way. The author's writing style felt stiff and jilted, further detracting from the story. On a high note, it works for a quickie.
