She lives in the mountains of Pennsylvania at the family home, Wanderer's Rest, with her husband and her mother.
Jamie's published work includes A Burning Bridge, Anything, It's Witchcraft, Storm in my Teacup, See You in Hell, Anarchic Flux, and The Tarot: A Quest for Wisdom.
This book is well written and really easy to follow, I have been struggling recently to find books that don't focus solely on the religious side of witchcraft, Jamie doesn't but she does write about how you could include a religion if you'd like, this book is primarily based on the craft of witchcraft which I loved, it also has a great 3 part appendix documenting herbs, stone and colours there are even some spells at the end. Will definitely be referring back to this book throughout my journey.
I found this book via Tumblr while researching secular witchcraft for a podcast episode and I'm glad I found it. I really liked this! I found it super useful, completely lacking in judgement and with a lot of personality. Personal stories from the author were never irritating or inappropriate, but really added to the overall tone.
This is obviously the first book Mr./Ms. Weaver's written and it could use some editing (affect vs effect) and a little aesthetic polishing (justify the text!) but I really hope to read more from them in the future. Good job!
I am well past the beginner but this gave me a few ideas I haven't thought of. It also from re-invigerated my love for the craft and practice more each day. I was in a rut and this helped me out.
It has been many years since I practiced witchcraft and I have forgotten the little I once knew. This was a helpful starting point to get me back into the craft
An interesting and enlightening read for any beginning witch! I found this book easy to read and requiring no reading between the lines. You can feel the authors passion for witchcraft and the knowledge being shared.
