Flawed
Sometimes, the best things in life aren't perfect.

Dez was sick and tired of being told to get over it. What happened to her was real, and the memories wouldn't just vanish because she wanted them to. No matter how hard she tried, it never got better, and being touched only made it worse.

All she wanted was for it to stop.

Some girls dream of falling in love, fairytales, or other crap. Her? She longed to get lost somewhere no one would ever find her. In the code, the cables, and the dusty places that most people tried to avoid. The kind of places where someone couldn't accidentally brush up against her skin, reawakening the horrors she fought so hard to forget.

Then he offered it all to her.

No touching, no questions, and no unrealistic expectations. Chance's smile was charming and hollow, covering a ruthless business owner and the only person who'd ever dared to look deeper than the ink covering her skin. He was willing to give her everything she asked for.

There was just one catch.
None of it was perfect.

Challenge Accepted
Nothing will get in her way. Not even him.

The last thing Riley needs in her life is a man. Especially not one who thinks he's better than her. With her neon dreads, a few tattoos, and a chip on her shoulder the size of the draft horses she loves so much, Riley insists she doesn't care about anyone's opinion but her own. She just didn't expect this guy to be so…

Sexy?
Understanding?
Amazing!

And yes, Void is everything she's ever wanted. He's also her competition, and if she wants to save the family farm, she can't get distracted by his ripped body, sultry smile, or those sweet words that are quickly destroying the anger that got her this far. Everyone else may be playing a game, but Riley?

She's playing for keeps.

He just wasn't the challenge she thought she'd accepted.

Virtual Reality
Online, you can be anyone you want. If only real life was that simple.

Kate's determined to learn how to be an independent woman. For too long, she's let herself be pushed around - sometimes literally - by men. For the first time in her life, she finally has control of her own decisions.

Too bad it's never that easy.

Her goals are simple: get a job and build a life she can be proud of. That's it. The problem is that no matter how much she tells herself she's better off alone, she can't help but feel something for the deep voice she talks to every night in her favorite game. Knowing he lives on the other side of town isn't helping. It wouldn't take much to fall for this guy. He's perfect.

So is the man who works across the hall.

He's not her boss. He just owns the company she works for. Not only is he rich, charming, and sexy, he's also real, unlike her gamer guy - and for some reason, he's taken an interest in her. But falling for him would be a bad idea. After all, they work together. Still, no girl in her right mind would refuse someone who looks that good in a suit.

But she's not the only one with secrets.

Some things are supposed to remain online, yet when her job sends her to a gaming convention to represent the company, she knows it won't stay that way. Secrets are about to come out. Unfortunately, the ones that will hurt the most aren't hers.

The Gamer Girls series features strong women and the men who love them.

Everything I needed this week.

Auryn, prior to this week I had read everything you published on Amazon, with the exception of the Gamer Girls series. I always bypassed them, even though I love your writing, because I'm not a gamer. I figured that some game knowledge or skills would be required to understand the books. I was wrong. While there is game jargon you were quick to define it for us newbies. I'd love to say that my favorite part of the books were the characters, the emotional connection, or even the powerful message the book sends. While I loved every second of my read and I strongly recommend that everyone read the series at least once, my favorite part was your dedication in Flawed. You wrote " None of us are perfect. No matter how hard we try, that is a goal which will always stay just out of reach. It's ok. It doesn't matter what you suffered through, the journey was yours, and it made you who you are today. Stop fighting it. No character ever became memorable because of an easy life. The best ones are forged with pain, anguish, and broken dreams. Embrace it. Be proud of it. We are all Flawed – and we are not alone." I needed to read that this week. I needed that reminder. You have no idea how much. Thank you Auryn Hadley for your words. Thank you for taking the time to write such powerful and moving stories. I'm eagerly awaiting your next book, whatever it may be about.

Kauryn

Kitty and Auryn pried my chest open and squeezed my heart with this one. From executives to horse ranchers to game developers, from sad times to happy times to sexy times, this series has it all. And these Gamer Girls are strong in so many ways. And so are the men that stand behind or beside them. I’m proud to call myself a HUGE fan. Thanks Auryn and Kitty for making a series that shows characters overcoming so many different yet similar obstacles.

I didn't think I'd like this series because I can't stand "gaming". But boy, it's just sweet love stories with lots of overcoming stigmas and villains. What more could a reader want!

Brilliant series

in not a gamer by a long shot, but each of these stories was intelligently written with compelling characters. The sexism, abuse and bigotry are something women deal with in life to varying degrees. These female characters have dealt with a variety of life's difficulties, with Sex going through the absolute worst. This is a series I did not expect to enjoy, but have fallen in love with.

Beautifully Flawed

A quote from within succinctly describes why I enjoy these authors and their work so much:

"Because you're the only person I've ever met that's more f'ed up than me. Because we talk the same language." He flopped back on the grass and looked up at the stars. "Because this shit f'ing world keeps trying to rip me apart and make me dissolve into nothing, and I've never met anyone else who can understand the way I have to fight that every single f'ing day. Except you."

These books come with trigger warnings, and the ugly parts of real life, and emotions that span all of human experience, and I love them for it. This is my second read of the series, as I read many as they were released and I wanted to binge since it's complete.

The first book reminds me, in so many good ways, of Tabitha King's One On One. (Love that book so, so much). Misfit, misunderstood, abused, self-medicating waif of a girl throws attitude to cover her fears, meets giant of a man, calls him a god, eventually falling for each other. They both have and respect each other's skills in a similar field, building the other up and a group of fierce friends. Threats still loom, and sex is come by honestly, not easily insta-perfection when tab A meets slot B for the first time.

The second book focuses on relationships, with a heavier hand on the gaming experience. Some familiar names (Cynister 💖) return from the first to expand and build on the world. The theme from the first continues here and in the third book - down on her luck female, rich hot guy, threats, but with a gamer twist, and horses.

Book three takes the same idea of the first and second, flips up characters and trauma within, yet remains engaging. Each book is set far enough apart from the previous so that it doesn't feel like a summer going beach read, but natural progression of life. The world continues expanding, with a growing list of characters that go by real and gaming names - can be tricky to track, or can just feel like online from ages ago.

If your deal isn't open-mindedness, if you don't do well with triggers, if geekery confuses you, this may not be your thing. I'm enjoying every page.

Better than I expected

Wow so good I could put it down. Ok so I am not tech savvy or even play video games. I was worried, I would be lost with this series. I was so WRONG. I have never played many video games cuz less face it I suck at them and don't understand it. So I try then quit I am pretty good atleast I think so at an old one called Tekken (like mortal combat) sorry spelling maybe wrong on the name. Anyways I am fairly new to Kitty's books (a month= so far 3 series and 2 books in) and super new to Auryn's books. But I love the strong females characters and the great guys involved whether love interest or friends. The ladies are strong characters cuz whether it's words, fist, attitudes, or survival they get up when knocked down and keep fighting however they need too. We have all been there ladies in someway or know someone who has even if its by haters or life. Whatever We just need to believe more that we are strong no matter what life throws our way and we should quit hating on eachother and stand together united! Ride like a girl and girls do it better, just like Cody (Falling for the Bull Riders series)! On a BIG side note Kitty Cox plz dont leave us ladies hanging for more of Cody and her crew I think they have more to say and do. Also I know, I would love more Dez, QQ, Lithium and Rhaven soon too. Also I love how these books have someone from another of her series pop in and out. Deviant Games and Rhaven had a camo in "Jump back on" (Falling for bull riders book 3) plz keep doing your work ladies (Kitty and Auryn)! I am Falling hard for it all...

This is how women feel in underrepresented sports.

These stories are well written, romances that perfectly capture the struggles and rewards for those willing to play as their genuine selves in the minority - whether that is gender, race, socioeconomic, neurodivergent, or people with disabilities. The focus is really on women in gaming, but the experience is so very similar in so many specialty organizations and up and coming sports/esports. Please keep writing these stories so they are heard.

Small note for the authors (tiny spoiler ahead): pick a softer metal for jewelry for those around large animals; if your hand gets smashed between them and a fence, you can snip off a gold ring quickly with farm tools without further damaging a hand or losing a finger. Steel and titanium are more difficult to cut (not impossible, but harder when there is a swollen finger in it), and I think the characters involved wouldn't mind silicone or a tattoo for safety.

Still love this series

I love, have read and reviewed every book in this series individually but figured when I reread it that I should use this one and review it too. I am a reader and I am a gamer and both my world's collide perfectly reading these books. I find myself rereadi g it quite a bit. The characters and their growth are amazing. Add to that the story line that is smooth and makes you read till 4 am before you realize your alarm is going off in an hour. Or the way the story progresses easily and you see the characters how up throughout the series.

I will say that this may have some triggers. There is talk of rape, abuse, drug use, violence, attempted suicide, and flaws of every kind. But I will say the series is worth the read ( and the reread.)

Read this coz I want to read the Flawed Series since one reviewer recommended that I would enjoy it more after reading this series but I don’t think I will be able to continue after these three books. Hopefully I now know all the characters and can just continue on to the series I actually want.
However for anyone who would like to read a series (assuming the books I’ve not read follow the same trend) that has no angst, MF couples (one of the books has a transgender main character so this lumping is incorrect unfortunately I don’t know how to categorize that couple, apologies) that clearly communicate, cinnamon rolls who are loaded and some pretty “flawed” characters oh and if you are a gamer well then this will be a treat.

Gaming IRL

First, this isn't for everyone; it is dark at times and discusses difficult topics, including rape and suicide (though mostly in the first book). If that isn't an issue for you, read these books!
I will read anything by Auryn Hadley, and will now be checking out Kitty Cox's other novels. The books were very well written, pulled me in, and were responsible for more than one way-too-late nights. The issues they dealt with are serious, but didn't bog down the books themselves.
I am looking forward to the next books in the series.

What I love about this series is how relatable it is.

You don't have to be a gamer to understand, love and relate to this series.

This series is about everyday women from all walks of life, tackling real life issues and finding their perfect partner online and in real life. None of them are perfect, they are all flawed but perfect for each other.

These women are strong and badass in so many different ways, and prove they will keep getting back up if they're knocked down.

Cannot wait for more of this series!!

Go on, just trust the authors ...

Nearly everyone who has reviewed this series of books has said, “I’m not a gamer, but ...”

Really, why is that important? I’m not a millionaire, I’m not a cyborg, I’m not an alien, I’m not a secret agent, royalty or a spy.

I read to enter a new world and experience what it is like to be in the head of the characters!

Kitty Cox and Auryn Hadley do a great job of helping me escape, and live a different life for a while. Oh, and get a damned good book hangover!!

Sooooo good!!!

I downloaded a sample of this book a while ago and forgot about it (my TBR list is LONG!!). Damn I wish I’d read it sooner! I could not put this down! Took me 3 evenings (I desperately tried not to read during the working days!) to read all 3 of these and I can’t wait for more. I loved the FMC in each book, and wanted more of each by the end, but loved the next just as much. This was real, deep, moving and incredibly well written. I know nothing about gaming and I loved this. Read it. ;)

AMAZING BOOKS! These are a must read!

So far this is the 3rd series of Auryn’s that I’ve read. When I finish all of hers I will be reading Kitty’s next. So far I love what I see. I’m a MASSIVE reader. And it’s so rare to find authors this good. I look forward to trying out solo books and I can’t wait to read more of Auryn’s books and I dread when I’ve read them all. My only complaint is that they can’t write as fast as I read. The stories are amazing and I’m praying there is one for Jason. There has to be lol. Kudos ladies. You guys rock!

Gamer Girls 1-3

If you have not picked up this series yet, you are missing out! The BEST contemporary romance I’ve read in a long while, interesting characters, developing plots, cohesive storylines, and best of all: beautiful love stories. All told with Auryrn’s particular flare and flavour. She gives us strong women and sexy men who love them - what more could you ask for? But I want a shot of something good for every time I read the line “she’s breaking the rules”

Nice story! ... But unfortunately, all too real

Loved dez' story. Heartbreakingly real. Qq's story was good, but got confused when void was brought up in this book, too, but in a different way than the first book. Would love to see how void went from agt raige's guess in the first to the relationship in the second? And I loved Kate's story and the end of book 3! Excited to go read the next one!!

It’s the first book for me!

I was immediately sucked into this series by the first book. Dez is by far my favorite character, however the way the second and third books are written the tie in factor with the KoG feels rushed and leaves me feeling as though more of that story line could be elaborated upon. Either way the characters feel real as well as the games they play. Going to check out the 4th book!

impressive and inspiring

I can’t get enough of the world that Kitty Cox and Auryn Hadley have built. The characters are real, and inspiring, especially for us gamer girls. Trigger warnings and all that, let go and immerse yourself in their beautiful writing and provocative story telling.

Each book has strong female characters who you can’t help but root for. And the friendships they find are like second families. I can’t get enough. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Five Stars

This is an author that I can’t get enough of. I know nothing when it comes to gaming and now I want to go out and buy some FPS games. This starts with Destiny’s story and is very intense. It lightens up over the next two books but I have a feeling Fragged will be pretty hardcore.

Nicely done

I'm a sci-fi/fantasy glutton, and I prefer my romances paranormal. And I've never given a 4 star rating to any romance novel before. But this series was fantastic. It had strong, solidly developed characters, was very well written, and the only problem with it I have is that I don't have the next book yet. You go girls.

Was good

I liked the main concept of the book. The discrimination that women face be it work or leisure. The first book was touching and I gave that one 4* rating. The second was rather confusing and went on forever - 2*. The third was ok and so got 3*. I do wonder why the bad guys are still out there. No closure.

Gamers

This KU library selection is a great beginning to The Gamer Girl series. The writing duo of Cox and Hadley are seamless, possibly the best I've read. It's impossible to tell where each begins or ends. And while each book is a separate story involving a different couple in the gaming community, book three pulls them all into the storyline. I can't wait for more.

Surprisingly OK

As a mostly Sci-Fi reader I wasn’t sure of this trip into contemporary romance, but AH is one of my favorite authors so I decided to give it a try. I found the first story extremely gripping and the other two quite readable; enough that I will be looking for the follow-up when it comes out.

This series is amazing!

Even if you aren’t into gaming there is something for you in this series. The authors seem to be able to catch the essence of humanity, the good and bad, and bring it to life. The themes are deep, the characters rich, and the story riveting. I can’t wait for the next book!

Yes!

I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed these two authors working together. The heroines are all flawed, human and relatable. Being a gamer chick.. I connected on a spiritual level. Will be recommending to a lot of my gamer gal pals. Thank you for putting this work out there for us to enjoy.
