When Suzanne, Jake, Momma, and Phillip decide to buy an old house and fix it up, they soon discover that the neglected property is being used as a base for an illegal operation. The more they dig into the old house, the more they realize that there are more problems with the fixer-upper than just wiring and plumbing, and they must investigate the case or risk losing everything.

Jessica Beck loves donuts, and has the figure to prove it. It's amazing what people can convince themselves is all in the name of research! For each recipe featured in the donut mysteries, a dozen more are tried and tested.
When not concocting delicious treats, Beck enjoys the rare snowfalls near her home in the foothills of North Carolina.
A clever new plot for such a long series. These books continue to surprise me. Once I start these books, I don’t want to stop. There is plenty of suspense and plot twists that keeps you guessing who the murderer is until the very end. I can’t wait for the next one!
It's been awhile since over read this series. I like how it's from Suzanne s perspective. I also appreciate the issue with Phillip. We went thru it a few years ago. Thank you Jessica
Characters are still believable and fun to spend the day with. It has quite a few twists but as always the author keeps the story alive and lets the reader keep guessing until the end
