She's a medium. He's a skeptic. A hidden treasure leads them on a dangerous adventure.
Willow Nightingale helps ghosts cross into the spirit world. She accepts the task to rid Mark Stryker of the spirit haunting his house, but they discover the ghost is linked to a three-hundred-year-old pirate treasure. When Willow and Mark race to find it, they discover they aren't the only ones after it. They must rely on each other and the ghost of a pirate if they're going to survive.
I enjoy writing and reading action/adventure, thrillers, romantic suspense, and fantasy.
I grew up reading Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton, and the Bourne books. I write seeking to create that level of action and intrigue but with female heroines. The love the quote, ‘She needed a hero. So she became one.’ My novels have empowered women overcoming powerful obstacles and the strong men who support them.
This is book 2 in CB Samet’s Romancing the Spirit series. Books 1-6 have been combined into a box set (ebook & audio). These are short, closed door, paranormal romantic suspense novellas. While there’s a single mention of an MC from book 1, each stands alone and either could be read first.
Mark needs to get a ghost out of a house he’s flipping and hires Willow to communicate with the spirit. I loved the evolution of the relationship between these two as well as the treasure hunting adventure a ghost pirate send them on. For such a short story, Samet develops a lovely romance balanced with suspense. These may be easy to read - but it doesn’t mean they’re lacking in any way.
Another delicious instalment. What’s better than romance, ghosts and mystery? Nothing I love better on a rainy day and this book was a fun romp. I love this series!
Romancing the Spirit Series: Sadie's Spirit #1 - If you loved that movie with Reese and Mark, you will enjoy this story. A spirit set with a sense of humor and a regret for throwing away the love of her life because she thought he was tetched in the head. Well, after what happened to her, she learned a few things. Good storylines and good characters made this quickly read book hard to put down. While a murder occurred, the story has a lot of humor and hope. The author has talent for storytelling. 4*
Willow's Windfall #2 - A delightful, too soon ending, romantic story with a bit of intrigue, danger and discovery. Two wonderful characters, several baddies and a 300-year-old pirate, along with the true meaning of treasure, make this fun read hard to put down. Sappy, but I love it! 5*
Cassie's Chase #3 - A darker story, especially following Willow's but with light parts. Good storylines, both sad and happy, with a wonderful surprise near the end. Good characters and a well done sweet romance. 4*
Phoebe's Pharoah #4 - This is an OK story but I did not care for it. Good characters but I found some of the happenings false. I'm not convinced by anything written about much of this story. Lacks experience or knowledge. 3*
Vanessa's Valentine #5 - Shame this story is set in Texas since it is obvious the author is unfamiliar with Texas. Some of the dialogue is off and cleaning the car so quickly of blood; must have been specks. I did not care for this story. The writing style is a bit choppy, not smooth and I'm not convinced by anything written about much of this story. Lacks experience or knowledge. 3*
Autumn's Angel #6 - This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it. Plenty of humor that fits well with the storylines. Good characters and dialog that keeps the reader interested. I like Joy and the way she was done. Devlin is also well done. A quickly read and entertaining read. 4*
Allison's Alibi #8 - This is a fun series to read. Yes, there murders and suspicions and investigations but there's humor and romance. Cash is great in his role and Alison's father is perfect in his role. The storylines are interesting and I did not put the book down until the last page. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Gracelynn's Genie #9 - I love this story! I have read three others of this series, but this is my favorite, so far. All three characters are fun to be with and Constance is my favorite. Her sense of humor and caring heart just endear her to the reader. This is a quickly read but entertaining, interesting novella. The storylines, the characters and the dialogues are just easy to get lost in and too soon the story ends. Finishing the story leaves the reader in a feel good, happy state. I found this book on Booksprout. 5* Romancing the Spirit Series end.
The story was a charming little story. A very fast read. But very well written in the sense that you have a nicely filled in story that has a complete beginning, middle, and end. So many short stories do not anymore. (This is just too short for me to call it a novella). If I have any complaint it is that there is enough content in the story that it could easily be expanded into a full length novel and I would really like to read that.
A fun, quick read that you can easily devour in one sitting. A ghost that needs to cross over, a treasure that must be found and a client who needs the help are all perfectly matched to solve a mystery. Romance, fun, humor, and mystery. All the required ingredients for a well-written novella that you don't want to miss. I received a complimentary copy of this book, here is my review
Cute story perfect for a bedtime read about a medium hired by a skeptic homeowner to rid his fixer-upper of a menace ghost. Willow becomes close friends with both the handsome homeowner and ghost to get them all out of trouble when the area mafia attempts to collect what they feel is their 'due'. Entertaining short and clean read perfect for the Halloween season.

Mark hated hunted houses and Willow hated hospitals so these two are mean to be together. After Mark discover that his investment partner had brought and immediately prior to taking off with their shard company's funds. Mark needs to sell the house in the next six months.

Loved this! I love the spirit aspect and ghosts haunting but along with that mystery and adventure, the romance that develops along the way between Willow and Mark. Their connection is undeniable and only gets stronger the closer they get to the treasure they're looking for.
She helps ghosts cross over and he does not truly believe in it all. He has a ghost and he wants it gone. The ghost is a first and has hidden treasure. Will they find the treasure? Will others try to get it from them? See what will happen
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a new author for me so the first in the series that I have read. I thought the story flowed well, had interesting characters and was very well written. It held my interest and I will look at reading the rest of this series now. I and voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.
