I knew there was a reason why I was saving this on my kindle. This was just what I needed to get me out of my very recent book funk.
Javier, Javier Could you ask for a more insatiable vampire? I think not. I am in love with this dude. Plus, the guy will have you like....
This book has everything any PNR lover would want: Hot, endearing, & mysterious characters. Intense passion, intense action. Great dialogue. And a plot not only believable, but interesting. This is a quick read but not too quick. You get just enough of everything so that by the end nothing feels rushed. The ending is solid & feels complete with NO CLIFFHANGER!!!!
This is book 1 of a series, but it appears each book will have different characters as the main focus. I for one cannot wait to dive into the other books, cos every character I met in this one, was quite intriguing. I would recommend this read.

This theater harbors four delicious vampires, Javier, Callum, Antonie, and Snow and they are the owners of Vampirerotique. Covet is Javier’s story, as he struggles with his desires for Lilah, who is human and belongs to another who is more powerful than Javier.
This story for me was extreme heat at its finest as it felt like a long seductive and sensual foreplay between Javier and Lilah. Their forbidden love definitely heightens the attraction to the reader as they are aware and tries to prevent succumbing to each other as neither can control their desires. Their moment in the private box at the theater while watching an erotic sexual performance sets the pace for the rest of their moments together.
The climax of the story was just as good when Lilah’s keeper comes to claim her and wreaks havoc on the vampire who dares or try to violate his claim over, Lilah. This moment was exciting for me because there is nothing better than seeing angry vampires in a room together. All these vampires in a room together was such a turn on and I’m eager for their stories in this series. I enjoyed getting to know each vampire a bit; however, I don’t know how old Snow is, but with his temper and the mystery surrounding him it makes me want to know more about him.
The author, Felicity Heaton, created a theater, which made me feel as though I wanted to be apart of it with its erotica performances. Fans of paranormal erotica will surely feel satisfied once they’ve reached the end of this story of forbidden love.

This book is about the attraction between Javier and Lilah
Javier is a vampire who has a deadly attraction to a woman who works in the Erotic theatre he works at. Bad thing is she is human and owned by someone else. To touch her would be deadly to the both of them and scenting them to death.But he cant hold back and things get to much for him.
Lilah is a human who is forced to be a vampire slave/property, she has tried to fight her strong desire for a vampire from the first moment her vampire boss sent her to work at the theatre.
Javier has been away from the theatre for whole month and now he is back he find that his feelings for Lilah are just as strong as they were before he left.Not knowing what to do about it he walks into the theatre and is greeted with some bad news. One of the vampires has been attacked and the woman he craves so much is to blame for it.
When Javier goes to question Lilah but things dont go to plan and things start heating up between them. Meaning the both were in so much more trouble then they were before. Becoming one the two decide to go with how they feel and a big fight scene breaks out between Javier and Lilahs owner. Her owner wanting revenge for what had happened. Javier ends up killing her owner and they then have two face the head vampires for what has happened but things turn out well and the two end up with a happy future.
Over all view:
I'm so stuck for word for this one, the story was amazing, so not what I expected. I expected it to be good but not this good. It had be reading and reading because I didn't want to put it down. The story just flowed so easy and it had such a good story line. The scenes in the book where it tells you about whats happening on stage made my toes curl and strange things happen down below *wink*.
I have outlined the story here but believe me there is so much more to this story. The attraction between the two of them is totally toe curling and belly fluttering. The fight scene is so dramatic with other vampires getting dragged into things. I promise you if you get this book to read then you wont want to put it down. I mean its full of romance, action that has you edging to the edge of your seat with excitement and so many erotic sex scenes it will have you needing to change your panties. *wink*. This was a very interesting new brand of vampire for me. Set in present day, yet it had an almost historical feel with the various levels within the vampire social hierarchy. There are also many rules that must be followed in their world. I truly feel that rules are supposed to be broken. Javier and Lilah feel the same way I do about rules.
The very human Lilah belongs to an aristocratic lord vampire. She hates him and the way he has taken her from one hell and made her into a servant in another. She is thankful that she remains far from him and close to the elite vampire Javier. She works at the Vampirerotique Theatre that Javier is part owner of. She has watched him and lusted after him for two years.
Javier has also watched and lusted after Lilah. He knows that to succumb to his desire will cause her immense pain. He will also be in violation of a very sacred law that is punishable by a painful death that he may not defend himself from. He knows that he should not covet one that belongs to another, but when it comes to Lilah he can’t seem to help it.
The forbidden, the woman who belongs to another, the potential passion and two years of watching from afar has drove Javier into Lilah’s ….. well. I think the fact that they knew there would be punishment for their actions and yet they still wanted one another without care of the consequences made this novella so incredibly sexy. They never once had the thought of “if” we get caught, it was “when.”
There sex scenes are highly erotic. There is a spicy blend of voyeurism, mild bondage, mild dominance and some very intense sex scenes. The performances of the theatre are an added bonus to the flames that Javier and Lilah are throwing.

Vampiric erotic romance. Haven't read a book in a long time where the male lead was so in touch with his sensitive side. Especially a male vamp. Not a bad read if you're in the mood for a highly sexual, yet loving (kinda alpha) male & an attractive good girl who knows what she wants.

This had such great writing and the plot would be much better if there was any buildup or suspense. If the story was longer to build the heat, things would seem 1. More realistic 2. More likable 3. Not as rushed

Oh, hello, hot stuff. Whew. Can Felicity Heaton write the steamy or can Felicity Heaton write the steamy? *fans self* I will freely admit that this book hit all my forbidden love kinks. The strong, silent male who has an instant attraction to his female but has to deny it (for whatever reason) makes my heart go pitter-patter. In this case, Javier is bound by the laws of his kind to leave Lilah alone. To touch her would cause her terrible pain but things happen and the touching starts and ... it was perfect!
I really like this entire world. First off, it's sexy. Sex-ay. It's a Vampire Erotic Theatre, for Pete's sake. There's plenty of sexing to go around. Javier and Lilah have that aforementioned forbidden attraction thing going for them and being in a place where sex takes place very publicly gets their respective engines revving. THINGS HAPPEN! It's pretty awesome.
Fast paced and entirely too fun, Felicity Heaton's vampires are well-fleshed out and will leave you waiting impatiently for the next book in the series.

I love it when an author decides to create an impossible challenge for her couple. Especially when right at the beginning the reader thinks “how will they get out of this?”. Felicity Heaton not only writes strong sex scenes, but crafts a world full of impressive characters.

Javier and Lilah have been ferociously attracted to each other for two years. But, because she is the property of a powerful vampire, their laws and customs to do not allow for their joining. Because of this, Javier has kept his distance from Lilah and has just pined for her from a distance. As, fate would have it, the two succumb to the draw they feel towards one another. After that, their connection deepens.
Covet by Felicity Heaton is a great novella! Ms. Heaton was able to connect Javier and Lilah in such a way that the romance and eroticism were a perfect combination to make the story believable, even in a short amount of page space. Kudos!

This is the first book in Felicity Heaton's Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series and I have to say she is off to a very good start. This series seems to have a darker, sensual vibe to it and definitely more erotic. The story is about a forbidden love between a vampire and a human who is owned by another vampire set amidst the backdrop of an erotic theatre that caters to vampires and their needs.
Javier and Lilah have tried to hide and keep their passion for each other under control for the past two years until it is too much for either of them to conceal any longer. Though this is a very erotic book with some very intense scenes it is a very tender and loving story of two people unleashing and sharing everything with each other despite the consequences, and the consequences are severe. No other vampire is allowed to touch a human that is owned by another otherwise face death. Despite the knowledge of their doomed love they are willing to try and find a means to stay together. The only thing is will they be able to defeat everyone and everything in their way of being together.
I really enjoyed how Felicity was able to develop not only the strong emotional connection that the characters had for each other, but the description of the scenes itself. The author has an amazing ability to make the reader experience every nuance that is occurring in a scene from the emotional components between the characters to the description of the scenery.
Since this is the first book in the series we should get to know more about the other vampires that are part of Vampireerotique theatre in subsequent books. The one I am most looking forward to is Snow. Although he made a brief appearance he made quite an impression and made this reader very intrigued at what lurks behind the wall he has built around himself.
A wonderful addition to the paranormal erotic romance genre and one that will be a favorite for many.

Covet is my first Felicity Heaton book and I LOVED it. I’ve had
Her Dark Angel
on my Nook waiting for me to read it. After reading this hot novella, I will be moving it up my TBR!
Covet is mix of romance, hot monkey sex and blood. And it all takes place in a vampire owned and ran theatre. But this isn’t any theatre; they don’t do plays or operas here. No they put on erotica shows for the elite vampires. There’s sex and feeding on stage to have the audience coming back for more and more.
These vampires have a monster hiding within them and if they are not careful their meal doesn’t live at the end of the feeding.
Lilah is a human servant of a rich aristocrat vamp that has sent her to the theatre to work. Javier is one of the owners of the theatre and he has lusted after Lilah for the two years she has worked for him. But because of her bond to her master she is off limits per the vamp law.
After staying away from Lilah and his desire for her; Javier can’t control himself any longer. When he finds her in the balcony boxes cleaning during a show, he finally gets to pleasure the sweet Lilah but he is surprised to find out that she has the same feelings for him.
In order not to give you more of the plot or spoilers the two have some hot monkey sex and share their feelings for each other while hoping that Lilah’s master doesn’t take their future away from them by taking Javier’s head.
If you are looking for a hot quick read with great characters pick up Heaton’s Covet today. I'm looking forward to the second novella in this series, Crave .

This is my first Heaton book and will definitely not be my last. I have to say that this book is not for the faint of heart. It has strong sexual scenes that will leave you lusting and may cause high stress if not sated. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is prepared to take the consequences of the emotional after affects.

As book one in as series, Covet effectively establishes a collection of characters that makes me eager to follow and get to know better. It establishes the theatre setting effectively and sets the marker for the level of heat that we can expect from this series. And Covet is one hot sexy book!
The characters are passionate and likeable. Javier,one of the vampire elite and Lilah, a human bonded to a powerful vampire, explore forbidden passion and love. They navigate their feelings for one another initially with hesitation, until their passion takes over and their need for one another is too much to contain: consequences be damned!
Covet is well crafted with well developed dialogue that gets the blood pumping and the reader needing a very cold shower. The sex scenes are extremely sexy and graphic, hence the need for a cold shower! The character interaction was very sweet and moving at times, with clear feelings being established and developed between the two main characters.
The storyline overall was fairly simplistic, but clear and easy to follow. There's was an effective twist toward the end of the book; I liked how this was developed and included. It also effectively convinced me to purchase Crave which is book two in the series.

The world or what information you get about it seems interesting enough. Vampires own erotic theatre where they perform with humans too. Lilah is a mortal who works there. Supposedly she belongs to an aristocrat vampire, but that doesn't prevent Javier to want her. That's the story. The rest are steamy scenes with these two. I'd recommend this for anyone in the mood for an ok erotic story.
The good is that the world seems interesting (I am guessing we get a bit more later) and certain events in the end are an obvious set up for other characters' stories.

Normally known for her passionate and fast paced action, Covet is Ms. Heaton's first full throttle erotic romance and she has hit a home run! The first in her Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance series, Covet starts off with a smooth intro to the world of Lilah and Javier. Their attraction and desires for one another are forbidden in their world and have gone repressed for over two years. The fire pushing them closer to one another builds into a raging out of control burn that ends in them feeding their lusts in a highly erotic scene that left me wanting to read it more than once! And I did! This is where the story picks up pace and we are led into the whirlwind affair of forbidden love. I am a complete sucker for this theme and given the vampire hero's chivalry there was no stopping me falling for him as hard as the heroine did. Their desires know no bounds, leading us into an escalation of passion and fear. Fear of what Lilah's master will do once he realizes what they have done. Death is the punishment and Lilah's master is no kind-hearted man. When her master does show up, I could feel the pain and panic right along side Lilah. He belts out his anger on her human body before Javier could reach her. The author weaved in so much emotion that there was no way I could put down the book until I found out if Javier and Lilah would be killed for their transgressions in the eyes of his kind. Right when I thought I knew what was going to happen, I knew what turns and twists the author would take, I was left surprised with each turn of the page and the further I got into the story. I also feel the need to mention how the author expertly used the setting to give me another insight into the world of her vampires and to crank up the sensuality of the story.
Different to most, Felicity Heaton has written back in the blood lust and dark desires of these night creatures, giving the story an added layers of grit that I love in my paranormal romance books. She also gives readers a great sneak peak as to the next book's hero, Snow. A tortured soul that I can't wait to see how he gets his happily ever after. He showed to be a strong man with a heart, yet with an inner demon begging for finality. I get very excited just thinking about his story!
By the end of this longer-than-normal novella (a little 100 pages), Javier and Lilah's story is nicely pulled together while leaving a good mystery open for the next books to come!

Because of these strict rules, Javier and Lilah have never expressed their desire for each other, knowing there is no hope. Javier is a elite vampire, only having a little bit of human blood in his family tree. Lilah’s owner is Lord Ashville, one of the theater’s Vampirerotique’s richest patrons. Lilah was made a slave by him against her will and she loathes him. But, to upset him, would be detrimental to the theater. Javier along with his good friend Callum and two other more powerful vampires own and run Vampirerotique – a place for the elite and aristocrat vampires to come watch erotic performances. Lilah was sent to the theater by Lord Ashville to work. Javier has been gone the past month at his sister’s wedding celebrations. Somewhat obsessed with her, on his return he is very eager to see her and make sure all is well with her.
When he learns Lilah stepped in on behalf of another woman and hit the lead actor in the nose, he is impressed and knows there is no way he can keep his hands off her since he has been gone for weeks. Regardless that there will be a death sentence on his head, he knows he must seduce her this night. Little does he know, Lilah is hoping for the same thing.
Tori recommend this erotic paranormal romance novella for March, and I’m always on the lookout for good erotic books. I really enjoyed this one for several reasons. First of all, I really felt a connection and chemistry between Javier and Lilah. From page one, there is this strong intensity that never lets up. Because there is the rule that they aren’t allowed to touch each other, their sexual tension is about ready to burst after lusting after each other for two years.
When they finally come together (and Lilah doesn’t experience intense pain – something that is explained later in the book) the erotic scenes are done really well. What I liked is that Javier is a pretty dirty fella – but there comes a time when Lilah starts the dirty talk in bed that actually pushes Javier out of his comfortable zone. Lilah is definitely not a shy heroine, and I really liked the sexual side of her.
The vampires in this world are dark. They are ranked by class – with the aristocrats (those with only purebloods) leading the pack, followed by the elites (those with a small amount of human blood) and then the commoners. On stage at Vampirerotique, the vampire actors perform very erotic acts, bringing in humans to create a bloodlust frenzy at the end. It is Callum’s job (owner and friend of Javier) to bring in these humans. Lilah makes the observation that no matter your rank, by the end of the show, aristocrats and commoners are all salivating with blood lust. Although Javier has redeeming qualities, this behavior on stage is just part of vampire life and is not apologized for. It gave the world a darker, violent edge that I liked. (It also carries over to book two.)
The reason for Lilah not having intense pain worked out okay for me, although I did expect a little more hesitation from Javier before he puts his hands all over her. I liked how it works out though at the end.

If ever there was a book to pop my Felicity Heaton cherry, then Covet is definitely it! This sensational Erotic Romance story had me flying through the pages and rooting for Javier & Lilah!

Imagine living in a world where the one person who can bring you joy, love & happiness is forbidden to you. You can never touch her, hold her, kiss her, laugh with her or give her the love that only you are capable of delivering. Would the chance to spend one night of love & ecstasy be worth losing your life over? Javier must make that choice or forever wonder what could have been. Lilah was bound to a horrible Aristocrat Vampire against her will. She never chose the life of a slave and views all vampires as evil creatures until she is sent away to work at Vampirerotique. What a Hot, Sexy and Devastatingly great way to start a series!!!! This first book of the series is devilishly erotic and definitely portrays heart racing emotions between the two main characters. Javier one of the devilishly handsome vampire Elite has been fighting his love for the forbidden fruit in the shape of Lilah ever since she started working at the Theatre, and as a human owned by another vampire things can never be without the threat of death should they give in to their mutual desire's.
Excellently written full of forbidden love, adventure and unexpected twist's this book is sizzling hot, full of raw emotion and the erotic sex give's way to the underlying story of true love always finds a way. Supported through out by some amazingly dark new character's this book transport's us into the new world of Vampirerotique the erotic Theatre for Elite and Aristocrat vampire's, which is excellently described and setting the scene of a fine and high class theatre background which only adds to the whole exotic and erotic atmosphere of the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. The author created believable characters with smoldering passion. You are drawn into the story from page one. You feel the desire and passion that Javier and Lilah have for one another. When you learn that this passion is forbidden to act upon, could cause immense pain and certain death it is too late! You are already connected to Javier and Lilah. The author has you riding along on an erotic journey to find out if they get a HEA.

This is a perfect story of a denied longing finally being fulfilled with desire and love to last forever. The emotional buildup between the characters Javier and Lilah is thrilling with excitement as they go against the vampire’s society rules and let their feelings and wants in their hearts rule their actions. The erotic scenes will definitely satisfy your minds sexual hunger and having you seeking your own release especially after the binding of Javier while Lilah takes advantage in the 69 position – so freakin’ hot!
The story is brilliantly written with the author’s smooth words that bring the story, the connection between the characters, and the fighting action of survival alive that has the reader feeling everything the characters feel immediately as if they were experiencing it themselves. I loved the happy ever after ending and cannot wait to read the next story in this new series to learn more about Callum, Snow, and Antoine.

The story is brilliantly written with the author’s smooth words that bring the story, the connection between the characters, and the fighting action of survival alive that has the reader feeling everything the characters feel immediately as if they were experiencing it themselves. I loved the happy ever after ending and cannot wait to read the next story in this new series to learn more about Callum, Snow, and Antoine.
I love Felicity Heaton’s writing and I always look forward to every book she writes because they always guarantee satisfaction. This is one book I highly recommend to all paranormal erotic romance lovers.

Covet by Felicity Heaton was a titillating adventure through a new world of vampires. I love that she didn't reuse an old standard for everyone's favorite bloodsuckers, but instead made a new world in which you could fall into all over again! It is hard to remake such a well used subject and put your own twist to it, but Felicity Heaton has done it! Brava!!
Javier who was the hot hero of the book was conflicted between doing what he wanted with every fiber of his being and what The Rules said was acceptable. Sadly I can't think of anything else to add to him that wouldn't give the story away! :-)
Lilah, the deceptively meek bonded human turns into a wild cat, to fight for what she wants, and to escape from an oppressive situation.
The chemistry between theese two was combustible before they even kissed! I couldn't stop reading this book once I started!
I can't wait to read the next book in this fabulous new series

Spoiler Ahead This was a short quick read that was very erotic which I liked but the story was light. Javier has dreamed and fantasized Lilah her for 2 years but being that Lilah is owned by a very powerful vampire of his club he has kept his feeling to himself. He thinks his attraction is totally one sided and really beats himself up for feeling the way he does. Lilah has desired Javier since she was sent to Vampirerotique by her Master, Lord Ashville. Lilah is confused by how she feels she isn't like the other owned humans and she hates her Master. She has tried to run many times before he finally sent her to the theater. She is tough and a survivor but doesn't think Javier sees her as anything special. When these two give in to lust it is very hot. I liked both of these character's and I wanted more from this book. While the book was well written with no errors in grammar and spelling I rate this book at 3.5 because it was hot. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series

It seems ages since I have read one of Felicity's books and this was a great re-introduction back into her worlds. I love Felicity's vampire worlds, her characters tormented, dark and loyal. With her scenes written with love and devotion Felicity does not miss one minor detail. She makes it easy to close your eyes and picture her settings and characters and a master of descriptive emotions.
This short romp of romance, forbidden lust and tantalizing bedroom action had me wanting to know more of this vampire world. This one felt different to her usual somehow. The storyline was quick but with enough action to keep your interested. This short novella is a great start to a new world I will definitely be following.

We meet the vampire Javier, who has desired Lilah for the last 2 years, but she is a human bonded to a pureblood vampire.. making her untouchable!!
The story centers on their mutual attraction and developing relationship. Felicity ramps up the heat & sexual tension and their 1st encounter is HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!
We are introduced to this dark erotic world of the VET and meet the other intriguing owners of the theatre.

It was very hot but there was little story. Just sex, sex, sex...death...then more sex. Normally, I would not have kept reading past the first 5 pages but I read the whole book and actually liked it. The couple had already known each other for 2 years at the beginning of the story. The first chapter hooked me with 2 major conflicts. The entire episode took place in less than 12 hours. There is a cliffhanger of sorts. A different ending, an epilogue, or something is missing. The emotions actually seem real. There is a very good fight scene. This book has 5 star potential. But it needs more STORY and a longer time span. I will probably try reading another book in the series.

Oh my gosh, this novella is yummy. The scenes are so tempting, so much so you will wish it was a full length novel. The only disappoint was when the adventure ended. I cannot hope enough that we won’t have to wait long for the next book. It makes you wish for the bond Javier and Lilah have found, curious about Snow, Antoine, and Callum and if their stories will be next. Felicity is one of my favorite authors, and I recommend this book to all who long to find that special someone. Covet is a fantastic first in a new series!

WOW! Just finished reading Covet and I think Felicity Heaton is off to a great start on this new series. I loved how Javier and Lilah loved and hungered for each other from afar, and once they gave in to their feelings, !HOT! - I loved them together. Now to wait till March for Callum's book to come out.. Hurry March!

I started reading this book and loved the characters right away. Couldn't wait to get to the guts of the book. Didn't take long & let me tell you. Do NOT read this book w/out a tall glass of ice water handy!! It is HOT!! Great love story! Can't wait to read the next book....
