For the cutthroat cowboy who wins at everything, losing his heart to the only woman who can reach his soul is the greatest risk of all… Lander Iron Feather’s fierce business strategies have made him one of the richest ranchers in the West, dominating all that he touches. But when the beautiful former model Nicky Box returns to Bandits Hollow to reform the Wilson Ranch School for Wayward Boys and Girls, suddenly Lander is forced to face the terrible abuse he suffered there as a teen. Lander’s seething hatred for the school’s wealthy owner is largely responsible for fueling his business success, yet now he has the chance to combine forces with Nicky to turn the place around for the sake of the school’s orphans. But doing so means opening his heart—to the kids, to the wounds inside himself, and most of all, to Nicky. When the school is confronted with a shocking closure, Lander must dig deep inside to redefine what “winning”, and the magic of falling in love, really means. Lander Ridge is Book 3 in the Iron Feather Brothers contemporary western romance series. Iron Feather Brothers Meet the Iron Feather brothers—they’re tough, they’re dangerous, and family means everything to them. And it takes very special women to get under their skin and untangle their barbed-wire hearts in order to find love in this contemporary western romance series set in the Rocky Mountains.
USA TODAY bestselling author Diane J. Reed writes happily ever afters with a touch of magic that make you believe in the power of love. Her stories feed the soul with outlaws, mavericks, and dreamers who have big hearts under big skies and dare to risk all for those they cherish. Because love is more than a feeling—it’s the magic that changes everything.
Lander Ridge is stunning, magical, and compelling. I absolutely love Diane J. Reed's writing style. As with her previous books, Lander Ridge instantly transported me into the story with the almost tangible scenes. There is one word in particular that seems to come to mind... mystical. It's just this overwhelming sense of magic and wonder that flows throughout the entire story. It's like I'm there and can feel the chills when I hear the owl's call, or the amazement when something beautiful and haunting happens. The characters are some of my all-time reading favorites. I was super excited to get to know Lander better in this book after getting glimpses of him in the previous two. It was also fun to catch up with Dillion, Barrett, and their ladies a bit as well. Getting back to Lander though, he is such a tortured soul who is more than just a bit rough around the edges, but with a secretly kind and longing heart. *SWOON!* I love how easily the author seems to be able to weave together the past and make the characters destiny seem so amazingly intertwined. I can definitely tell she believes in soulmates and it shines through in her writing. The witty banter is probably my favorite part and actually had me smiling while I read. My husband wanted to know what I was smiling so big about lol. Although there are definitely some heart wrenching moments as well that had me very emotional. I was entranced from the first page to the last. I highly recommend Lander Ridge!
P.S. I loved reading the author's note at the end of the book about the sacred trees. So cool! Make sure if you read Lander Ridge to check that part out too.
** I received this book from the author. I voluntarily chose to write this honest review.**
This is book 3 in the series, and while you should read the previous 2 books first, you could start here and understand what is going on. You will want to immediately go back to the previous two once you read this one, because you will fall in love with these brothers and all they have to offer!
I love the author's writing style, her plots and her characters! These books take place on a ranch far from any big city and the reader is immediately transported straight into the pages of the book! You will feel like you can hear the owls, taste the desert, find yourself atop a horse checking the fence line...coming back into reality after reading this one will be hard!
The characters are swoon worthy and at the same time the reader wants to smack them a bit. They are rough, business oriented and against love...BUT the author gives the reader a roller coaster ride while she tries to tame them! Revenge has always been the end game, but this is one time that revenge may have to wait...
Be prepared to not want to do anything else once you start reading this one! It is going to take over your life until you get to the very last word! It is one of those books that you will want to start reading again as soon as you finish so that you can see what you missed the first time around!
Another amazing read by author Diane J. Reed!! Don't hesitate to get this one today and move it to the top of your TBR list!!

The Wilson Ranch holds a lot of painful memories for both Lander and Nicky, they both stayed there during their childhood, and were treated poorly by the owner. To say that the place is a nightmare for both of them is an understatement, but Nicky has plans to change that. After she learns that she has just inherited the ranch she decides it's time to return to Bandits Hollow, face her demons, and turn that place around, and make it better for the children currently living there.
But she is not doing it alone... enter Lander Iron Feather, the man she met years ago at Wilson Ranch, and the man that is going to help her make things right... not without a few heated battles though!
You just can't wrong with Lander Ridge, the emotion is heartfelt, the humor is plentiful, the magic in the air is mesmerizing, and the romantic moments will leave you swooning! This lovable and feisty couple battled at every turn, and I loved having a front row seat to their magical little reunion, they had me smiling and giggling the whole way through! Their story wasn't easy on the heart at times, due to their memories of the hard and heartbreaking upbringing they had at the Wilson Ranch. But my heart found relief and was soothed by the happiness they found in breathing new life into the place and the joy that they found in giving the children there a better life. I also enjoyed getting small glimpses of the other couples in the series, it sort of felt like a little family reunion for me, one that made my heart really happy. This series has been one of my favorite literary discoveries, the stories are unlike anything else I have read and it's characters have left an impression that I am certain will stick with me for a long while. If you like western romance stories, then I highly suggest you give this series a try, I guarantee you will love the cowboys you find waiting for you between the pages!
This is the 3rd in the series of the Iron Feather Brother's Series. It is just amazing! I could not put it down, it has it all Suspense, Magical, Chemistry, Passion...I could just go on... The former model Nicky comes back to Bandits Hollow after and injury, to reform the Wilson Ranch School (which she inherited) for Wayward children into a better place of learning. But Lander Iron Feather used to go there as a child and it brings up memories of his time living there, the abuse, and the torment he endured as a teen made him wealthy driven as an adult. So He combines forces with Nicky to help make the change. Lander opens his heart to the children, and Nicky. This book is just Amazing as all her books are. I just can't say enough good about the book!
I very much enjoyed reading this book! This is the 3rd book in the Iron Feather Brothers series and out of all the books this one has been my favorite! The story really sweeps you away the magic, the chemistry and passion but most of all the kindness that was bestowed upon the children of the orphanage where the main characters Landon and Nicky had history! I couldn't put the book down it really grabs your attention from start to finish.. it's entertaining with the funny banter between Nicky and Landon .. I found myself laughing!! The story and the kids will melt your heart! You can't ask for a better book than this one! The author really knows how to write and you can tell that it was written from the heart a lot of love and attention to details was poured into this story! From the very first moment you start reading you're transported into this beautiful world up in the Colorado mountains with large open fields and ranches with majestic animals that takes your breath away! As you dive further into the story you start to get to know the characters more and as the story unfolds you feel connected to them with your heart and different emotions! This is the best book I've read and I hope you will take a chance on this book and enjoy it as much as I have! Thank You!
She is an ex model and he is someone she knew. They have so much hurt inside them for the school she wants to help reform and save from closing. She needs his help but has so much hurt and anger inside. It is very intense, dramatic, emotional, healing and so much more. I am a history buff and I love how this author know what she is talking about with the Indian people and their life. It is very well written and flows so nicely. I highly recommend this series. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I couldn't put this book down. If you like suspense, romance and Ute lore, I know you'll like this book. Sometimes the old ways still have magic links if you only believe. Nicky is a model, but she had a very tough childhood. After she's injured in a fall, she finds out that she's inherited Wilson Ranch - a sort of reform school for wayward children. Nicky vows to change it for the students to a good place for them to learn even though the owner Thorne Wilson is still around to harass. Lander Iron Feather was also a resident of Wilson Ranch and he has the scars to prove it. There is a sacred set of trees that whisper to certain people on the property. These trees are very old and guide and protect them. There are many secrets revealed in this book along with a touch of magic as well. I read the book version and was impressed with the quality of the printing, I found it very easy to read even with vision problems. I requested and was able to get a copy thru the author. This is my voluntary review. I've really enjoyed these books by Diane J. Reed and I highly recommend them. They are well written and her story telling is vivid - as vivid as a turquoise pendant.
I've just read this final installment in the Iron Feather Brothers Series and Man Oh Man Hot Hot Hot ! oh
I have now read all three of the Iron Feather Brothers Series and HIGHLY recommend them . To say I loved them is an understatement . I'm very happy to have found this writer .This is my first time reading any of Ms. Reed's books and certainly won't be the last . We are given three sexy, strong alpha males who despite a very bad childhood after the death of their parents , grow up to become very rich . Even though the brothers are billionaires they take nothing from anyone .They work hard for what they have .They fight harder and love completely . Did I mention the brothers are drop dead gorgeous ? Of Mixed Native American ancestry these three men are drool worthy . Next throw in Native American mysticism , a few bad guys , a strong woman who needs a little help , and the beautiful American West and you've got the perfect book . With the prices of books having risen so much lately I'm very careful about recommending a book to family and friends . This is a series however , I would definitely tell friends about especially those who love this genre.
Well written a different kind of book my first book by this author.A mystery .A fallen in love. Not adventure in it.About half breed family who becomes rich.A model who ie beautiful.Hate and abused teens.
LANDER RIDGE is book three in Diane J. Reed's Iron Feather Brother series and revolves around an successful rancher and a former model in a twist on an enemies to lovers story.
If you've been reading this series, you will quickly recognize Lander as the successful brother of Dillon and Barrett who we met in the earlier books. He's a bit of a hot head, but everything he touches in the business world seems to turn to gold. He was an easy character to like even though there is a large ego in the picture.
Nicky comes across as good-hearted right from the start, and as a big change occurs in her life, we see her step up and try to turn the school they all attended in their life into a better, productive place.
I recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a cowboy story with a whole lot of heart and some angst with your romance. This entire series has been very enjoyable and you won't be disappointed with any of the books in it.
I loved this story. Once I picked up the book I couldn't put it down. If you're looking for a good read that has a little mystery, and quite a bit of ancestral history that backs it up you need to pick up Diane J. Reed's "Lander Ridge (Iron Feather Brothers Series, #3.)" It is book 3 of 3 in this series and as much as I loved the other 2 books this one was my favorite. This was Leander Iron Feather's story. If you haven't read the other 2 books in this series "Turquoise Mountain, book#1" or "Skystone Canyon, book#2" I highly recommend them. It will give you an insight into how the story of the Iron Fether Brother's came to be. Let's not forget our heroine Tavonika (Nicky) Box. Who finds out that she is the heir to her brutal Grandfather's school for troubled boys and girls. Both Leander and Nicky find themselves intertwined in a saga that goes back many centuries.
