Aria Lawrence arrives late for work at her father’s tractor dealership, bouncing and smiling sweetly which has always worked in the past. Disappointed, her father tells her that at 21 years old, she needs to grow up and be responsible now. Drinking too much and partying late into the night just doesn’t make a good excuse. She’s always been a spoiled wild child and apparently still wasn’t ready for full adulthood.
As Aria gets the coffee going, the bell above the door rings as her best friend Amy’s older brother, Ethan Brighton, walks in. He’s looking for a part-time job since the small town police station cut back his hours as a cop, and Aria’s older sister sent him over to see her dad. Aria didn’t remember him being so tall and well-built. She’s eager to flirt, but is getting both hot and cold reactions from him that confuse her. Then he goes into her father’s office for his interview.
Eventually Ethan and Aria cannot resist their attraction and start a relationship. Although it doesn’t work out, she ends up pregnant. Is it time for both of them to grow up and examine how they really feel?
I wasn’t overly impressed by either Ethan or Aria at the start of the story line. Aria had all the qualities of an air-head who was totally immature and wrapped up in her own desirability, analyzing everything about herself and whether she should change something to attract Ethan – all this within the first 5 minutes of her seeing him. Ethan, who was 10 years older than she and was a cop, acted inappropriately in checking out her body, although he thought he was being discreet, and fantasizing about all the things he’d like to do with her. There is a time and place for these behaviors – high school, maybe? The last part of the book started improving and gave me hope for a HEA, but I think the characters needed more depth and development early on to capture the reader’s interest and support.

Aria and Ethan meet and find they are so drawn to each other like they've never experienced before. They are good together, but there are a few issues that can cause some problems.
I loved Ethan, but Aria came off too immature and annoying for the better part of the story. She needed to mature and she does by the end of the story.
This book is HOT! The heat between these two is fierce.
I do recommend this read.

Baby Shock in another example of Ms. Winter's talent. I truly adore this Author and am positive you are going to too.
While I try immensely hard never to give away any part of the plot so that I do not ruin it for reader's, I am certain that these incredible characters are going to scorch you with their heat.
Ethan is Aria's best friends Brother. Little does Amy know that Aria is captivated by him. I found myself engrossed from cover to cover as these two amazingly crafted characters steamed up my kindle. He didn't want to want her but together they couldn't resist. Now after the steam clears, she is holding on to a secret that will alter their future forever. Will Ethan step up? Or are they doomed to fail? Will Aria remain his secret? Can they hold on to one another and get their happily ever after? Find out right here in this superbly designed book. What I enjoyed most was the growth the characters showed as the book came to a close. Of course their chemistry and banter was just as addictive and I can not wait to see what is next from this brilliant Author.

I did not like Aria, in fact I almost hated her and made me stop reading this book but thinking that somehow she will be redeemed, I did continue reading the story, though I admit I skip a few parts. She got to Ethan and he got her pregnant. As her father said, she got a lot of hookups but he was the only one who knocked her up. Aargh! Redeeming part of the story is they kept the baby, got married and apparently they love each other.

Aria is a 21year old who is wild, carefree and beautiful. She has a photography degree but works in her father’s tractor sales business during the day a parties most nights. Ethan is a 31 year old part-time policeman who walks into the tractor store looking for work. He handsome but he is closed off and a loner. Despite the difference there is between them, they have a strong mutual attraction. He is afraid if they get together it will cause problems in their families. Can she bring him out of his shell? Is she mature enough to be in a relationship? Well you need to get the book to find out.
This is one hot, steamy love story that is more than just the sexy scenes. It is about family, personal growth and mostly love. The author expertly weaves a emotionally charged drama with a well developed cast of interesting characters. I read this book in one sitting and was impressed with how well the steamy scenes worked within the confines of the storyline. It is a wonderfully written romance with enough heat for those who like the sexy scenes but enough substance if you are looking for a great love story. I highly recommend this book, bet you can’t put it down.

Alexis has outdone herself. This is one great book! I read it in one go. Talk about late night reading! It has it all: Secrets, angst, soul-searching, lots of self-control, and loads of steamy sex. You are going to love this book!
Ethan is straight-laced. A cop looking for extra income after his hours are cut. Aria is the wild child. Young, free, headstrong. Ethan is friends with Aria's older sister Vesper, who is also his sister Amy's best friend. So lusting after Aria is a big NO. Aria needs stability in her life. She thinks she will find it in Ethan. They try to keep their distance, but working for her father makes things even more awkward. When they finally combust, WOW!!!! The sex is mind-blowing. When pregnancy becomes an issue, the fun really starts.
Ethan and Aria will find their HEA, Alexis insures that. But the road is not smooth. Be ready to feel for them as they wend their way. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. You will love their story as much as I did.

This is the third book of the series, but they can be read as standalone. This is Aria and Ethan’s story. Aria is Vesper’s (Just Friends) little sister and Ethan is Amy’s (Protect Me) older brother. These two families are intertwined by friendship and they are there for each other and drive each other crazy. Aria is 21 and loves to party and have noncommittal hookups. Her father wants her to grow up and stop acting like a child. Ethan is 31 and a cop and doesn’t do relationships sit to his past. Ethan and Aria end up working together at her father’s store and Aria does whatever she can to get Ethan. When they are thrown together one night, they agree that they will keep it casual and it ends when their feet touch the ground. However, that doesn’t work so well. They can’t get enough of each other. What will happen between two people who don’t do relationships? This does have some drama, angst and some hot and steamy scenes. There are parts that will have you roll your eyes and laugh. I liked the storyline and all the characters. It was so good to see others from the previous books. Like I said, they are completely standalone.

Love is such a crazy thing! Aria, 21, party girl, works for her father at a tractor dealership. She is the youngest of two. Ethan, 31, military veteran, walks into the dealership looking for a job. Once eyes lock with the two of them, it’s game on for Aria. She is a woman who knows what she wants and she wants Ethan. Aria refuses to give up and eventually they are together. It doesn’t go as planned as they discussed, but you can’t fight feelings. Aria doesn’t realize how much she needs Ethan in her life and Ethan doesn’t realize that he can’t just have her one time. Well, few weeks go by and things are great with them, until one night at a party. From there, all things change for Ethan and Aria, as well as the entire family. But the love these two have for each other, they work on making things right and come together for each other. Overall, their HEA is beautiful. I recommend this wonderful, emotional beautiful story.

Sweet! 4.5 Stars

This is a sweet, sexy, hot read, but it’s editing errors that had me marking this down to 4.5 stars.

This was a great book that draws you in from the very beginning but be aware their is a lot of crossover characters from previous books by this author. The female star Aria is the sister of Vespar from "Just Friends" while the hero Ethan is the brother of Amy from "Protect Me" n top of this Aria and Amy are best friends and Ethan is older
Aria works for her father as she can't get work in her chosen filed of photography Ethan an ex military man needs a part time job that he can work around his police job seeing he has had his hours cut so he comes to see Aria's father about a mechanics job. These two spark of one another from the word go she flirt up a storm he runs hot and cold has he believes he is to old and jaded for her but he can't walk away When they inevitable happens will they be able to make their relationship work or are they doomed You will have to read to see if they get a HEA

I absolutely loved this
Well...I absolutely LOVED this. I started reading it and didn’t stop till I was done. I just loved Aria and Ethan. They had amazing chemistry and were so funny and cute together. Possible spoilers coming up.....
I loved the way their whole story played out. It didn’t take forever for them to get together and I loved how even though they said they would only be together once—that went out the window immediately. You could “feel” them falling in love and it was just so well written.
There’s not a lot of angst in this book, and some might think that would be boring..but it wasn’t at all. The conflict happens about half way in but they figure their sh!t out rather quickly— it was not ridiculously dragged out for the sake of drama. They are fully committed to each other by 60% in and I was still riveted by every word after that. This book just made me happy!!

Man! Talk about a gripping experience! One masterfully laid storyline with an thrilling plot that rocks this read from the git-go. Alexis really brought out the magic in this tough as nails, on point realism that spins so intense, bursting with emotions catapulting this bad boy to life spectacularly. The tension is thick, the chemistry is hot and the suspense is skyrocketing. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together flawlessly. The characters are authentic, approachable and realistic with such depth and individuality that flow and blend smoothly. The scenes are so graphically detailed it feels as though your right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Fantastic job Alexis, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

I sooooo loved reading this book from Alexis Winters!!! Every book she writes turns to gold and this one is no different!!! Amazing!!! I truly couldn’t put this book down!!! I’m so glad this other added little snips and bits of past characters from previous books of this installment!!! That makes the book flow so well and it was written amazing well!! This author always seems to captivate the story so well!!! When reading her books I always feel like I’m being transported in the story!!! Like I have a front row seat to the movie that is playing on the big screen!! Or better yet I’m in the room as it all goes down!!! Lol This was a great read!! Great storytelling!! A must read!!! Can’t wait for what’s next from this author!!!!

If you’re looking to pass a couple hours while being fully engaged and captivated then this book is for you! I adored the characters in this story! Aria is a free spirit, she doesn’t have much direction in her life and is still in the party and have fun stage in her life. As a contrast Ethan is ten years older than her, he’s well grounded and knows what he wants out of life.
Or rather he did until he took a part time job at Aria’s daddy’s store. Aria quickly turns his entire world upside down.
I found myself drawn right into this story and I didn’t stop until I was done. This is book three of the Mountain Ridge books, it is standalone even though there are character overlaps. You do not need to read all the books or in order to understand this story.

Book 3 in the Mountain Ridge series. Being 100% honest here the information on each book is way of. An event, usually near the end of the book is described as the whole main story, it might have been better if that had been the plot. We meet Aria in book 3 who is the sister of Vesper in book 1. Amy is Vespers best friend, and Ethan is Amy's brother. So the book blurb that she fell for my best friends brother, No, her sisters, best friends brother. Aria is in my opinion a 21 yr old, spoilt little madame, working for her father and wearing next to nothing to do it. Used to getting any man she wants and a bit immature when she can't. I felt the story was rushed, I didn't like the 10 year age difference for the only reason that she's so immature that it was somehow very wrong. There was so much more that the author could have made from this.

A story about Aria and Ethan. Vesper, Aria's older sister and Amy, Ethan's younger sister have been friends for years, hence the whole hands-off vibe. Aria is a spoiled party girl, just 21 years old. Ethan is a cop, stable and 10 years her senior. When he comes into the business owned by her father, Aria sets her sights on him and will not stop until she gets what she wants. I thought the book was well written, in spite of her flightiness and manipulative behavior, as well as his inability to maintain control around her. The steamy scenes in this story were very steamy. All things considered, I enjoyed this book and would recommend anything Ms. Winter writes as a good read.

Aria’s father tells her that she’s 21 now and she needs to grow up and stop partying too much, Ethan’s hours have been cut at the police station so he needs to find another job so he can finish building his cabin so he is sent to Aria’s father. The two are hot and cold together but Ethan doesn’t want to be like his father so no relationships and definitely no kids but fate just can’t stay out of it and Ethan ends up with a big surprise. Fantastic story I enjoyed it immensely and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

A really good feel good read. Two families who are close and grew up together make life complicated for Ethan. He is the older brother of Amy who is best friends with Aria. When Ethan begins working in the tractor shop owned by Aria's dad sparks fly between them. Add in the fact that Amy is in business with Aria's older sister and Ethan is even more reluctant to get involved with Aria who is also ten years younger than him. Events unfold that throw Aria and Ethan together. They keep their relationship secret from everyone until Aria finds out she is pregnant. How will the families react?

3/5. I thought the book was OK. I liked how Aria and Ethan grew up and realized they wanted more in life. I did feel the relationship was a bit insta-lovey; I would have liked to have seen more of a development between them. I felt like this book was missing some more depth to it; it felt like not much really happened. I did like how the conflicts were resolved in a timely and mature manner. It was nice to see good endings for the other characters from the previous books. Overall, this book was fine; I just wished there was more development for their relationship.

Aria is a fun loving young woman. She works for her father during the day and most nights she is out partying. Ethan gets a job working for her father. When she sees him, she immediately sets out to get him to notice her. Ethan knows that she is trouble and does his best to avoid her. As the story progresses, they admit their attraction to each other. Ethan is 10 years older than Aria and feels that the age difference is too much. Can she convince him that she is ready for a relationship with him? I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to everyone.

This is the third book of this series. It is my favorite one. This is Aria and Ethan's story and a delightful one it is. There is lust at first sight. Foolishly he tells himself he is too old for her. He tries but is too weak to fight the temptation. She does not want a relationship but finds it difficult to resist. The more they fought their desires, the more ground they lost. He thought, "one night and she will be out of my system ". Oh no, he knew he was in deep trouble, far too deep to get out unscathed. So, they did the only thing they could do - they jumped in with both feet. Let the fun begin!!!

Baby Shock. Love it! I enjoy reading books with not just romance. They have some drama that keeps the lovers apart or drama that comes between them. Because then when they have to fight for their relationship it becomes much sweeter and loving. Ethan and Aria want to be together but are afraid no one will accept them because of age. They see each other in secret until found out. Weeks go by and family realize they belong together. They find their happy ever after. Great read! This was a fantastic, passionate, and heartwarming new story from Alexis Winter. Aria is a party girl who has no real career path. Ethan is an ex military working his way to being a cop. The two start up a secret fling that quickly becomes more but Ethan is sacred of what being together and possibly not working out could mean for them and their families. Filled with secrets, heartache, a secret baby, healing, family, passion, and love. Baby Shock was exceptionally heartwarming and well written with wonderful characters that readers will fall in love with. I absolutely loved this book.

I really, loved this book - once again this author was able to write a steamy, sexy, emotional, interesting, funny and romantic love story that kept me glued to my tablet from beginning to end!
Alexis Winter is a fantastic writer, and one of my favorites 😉. I recommend you give her a try!
This story was about Vesper's sister Aria and Ethan Amy's brother....it was really nice getting to
revisit with all of them, and see how they are all doing along with their families.
This was a standalone, and no cliffhangers.
This one definitely ends in a happy-ever-after.

Aria works for her dad selling tractors when Ethan walks in to ask for a job. Ethan is looking for another job since he is now a part time police officer. Ethan is friends with Aria’s big sister and he is ten years older than Aria. Aria flirts with Ethan but he doesn’t respond. When she isn’t looking Ethan is giving her longing looks. When Aria and Ethan are together the sparks fly. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. I really enjoyed reading this book.
